Holy shit - first bikini wax!

Just had my first wax ever at lunchtime and I chose a Hollywood bikini wax! In at the deep end.

I thought it would be painful but not too bad and I have several tattoos.

Oh my god! It was agony!

I'm scared to look at it!

You just flop one leg to the side, she plonks the wax on, gets you to stretch the skin ,plonks on some more and pulls it away.
Mine doesn't make me do yoga poses either. I turn over pull my cheeks apart and on and off goes the wax.
Easy. She's seen it all apparently so it's not any different to going to the doctor except it's in a nice posh room with lovely smells and towels.

I’ve been having mine done for 35 years. I literally don’t feel anything anymore. I don’t get what all the fuss is about.

the beauty therapist actually commented how tough my hair roots were, like little tree trunks apparently

So over the weekend by under carriage is still smooth but little hairs have popped through on my 'front'. I am guessing they are little hairs that were too short to 'pull' and they are quite thin so that bodes well for future waxes.

Also, yes when they are doing underneath they do have to fiddle with your lips a bit but by then I was in shock with the pain and didn't really thing about it

Years ago my usual salon closed for a few weeks and I was due a wax so booked in for a Brazilian at a different place. Anyway, they used strip wax and oh dear god, my legs were twitching with every rip by the end, my skin was red raw. I still get regular Brazilians but hot wax only!

Update - I have had a hollywood 'hot' wax the other day. The difference was amazing. there was a lot less hair to take off this time as less had grown back. It was a loooot less painful as folk had mentioned on here.

Hot wax is the way forward for me. I am not going near strip wax again.

I have bald patches now were there is no hair regrowth.. I joke I have fannypecia (alopecia of bits!)
I had strip wax once and it literally removed top layer of skin from my labia.. I had raw areas for days and was in agony.
