it's more them looking happy/approachable.

good colour clothes, decent cut - god for body shape (so prob had colour and style analysis done) and confidence in carrying herself

Yes - definitely the confidence. But I find that what I tend to notice if someone's looking particularly fab, is that they've really gone to some effort to make sure everything in the outfit works - clothes, shoes, jewellery (if any), makeup (if any). Often I can get a couple of those, but not everything - it would involve having either a much larger wardrobe than I currently can manage, or a much smaller, more tightly edited one, so that everything worked with everything else.
