Ditto cod. And they are always young, nubile things adn I feel I should make up some wild evening out!

Gobbledigook · 16/05/2007 20:27

googling your jewellery now MT - you'd better not make me spend any more money!!

I always notice peoples hair. Having a good cut that really suits can make a world of difference I think. I'm also fascinated at how people get their hair to stay looking good, mine always looks great when I leave the house, within 10 mins it looks like it's never met a hairbrush

confidence and clothe make up hair that suits them

Oh I am thinking of one very slim petite woman and one very curvy large woman btw

My Gran was a very wise lady!

Her words of wisdom to me were- "If you have a good haircut, great shoes & a fab handbag every woman will notice you darling!"

She was right, I get strangers stopping me in the street commenting on my handbags & my hair!

delores · 16/05/2007 20:35

What a great gran.

Mine just used to say"Don't put it down put ot away" - no help at all.

Accessories. Because it can generally be taken for granted that effort was made with the rest first. I love the neat matching/contrasting look but also that kind of Boho mum with the bangles and beautiful scarf, the kind of thing you just can't buy.
I'm a bit of a Trinny/Susanna type though, I am frequently tempted to mention to people if something is actively making them look awful (eg clothes cut, style, colour) but have so far kept it to myself.

I think it is often poise and posture. People who walk with their heads up and backs straight look so much better than us hunchers

LittleMouseWithCLogsOn · 17/05/2007 08:15

but yoi also et arty types wiht terribel hair who look good
