And can I say today I had NO hush on. How unlike me. I wore my next skinny trousers, next chunky flatform sandals, black Matalan longline vest under my sheet Tesco black tunic blouse. No jacket just a zara edgy cardi that I had picked up from a charity shop with rivets all around the front edges. Not even my earrings were hush ..nothing...nada....

neveradullmoment99 · 15/05/2018 18:58

Sheet??? Sheer!!!

SoyYo · 15/05/2018 19:00

Thank you for the 👠👡❤️Smile
I've got E fitting so it's not easy to find these gems, let me tell you! Grin
I dread to think what I'd be like if I fitted "normal" shoes! 🤣

ilovecherries · 15/05/2018 19:02

Laska, I detect a hint of enabling re the maxi dressesGrin. I've never had a maxi dress before - they aren't a wise thing to wear as a plus size as there's a lot of material. Hmm. So you think I'd get use out of three of them during my 5 weeks on the continent over the summer? The others I'm still dithering over. I just imagine the Tarifa from a Boden has a sign on it saying 'I'm a fun print from Boden' - but I love the shape. The beach dresses - they are pretty much out of my comfort zone, in a much more extreme way than the maxis. So even if I looked crap in a maxi, it wouldn't be revealing anything, whereas the beach dresses show off legs, boobs, bum, belly etc etc.

Laska5772 · 15/05/2018 19:03

Those shoes remind me of these ones I bought at TKmaxx last summer.they are by Earth Spirit, - all leather and super comfy ..I have found some online at QVC if anyone interested I have never bought from them so dont know what they are like y to buy from

Cherries I actually think that you look really good in them but its important that you feel comfortable with them on otherwise they will just sit in your wardrobe. I agree with laska about the maxis. I think they are amazing in hot weather. I think though that the orange is a bit of an insipid colour and think your colouring definitely suits the blue and the black more. If you are unsure about the beach dresses, why not keep just the navy one. It really does flatter you and the colour is not so stand out iykwim. I remember a few years back ordering the beautiful jade beach dress. I sent it back because I couldn't see me getting loads of wear out of it as on me it looked way shorter [maybe previous seasons were ]and I am not used to baring my legs locally although I have no issues with it abroad on holiday. I just don't care. So I get where you are coming from.

Laska5772 · 15/05/2018 19:13

..good for Kipper feet also Grin

cherries Enabling? Moi? Grin.. Yes I think you would, I do and I now have 5 ,.. ( maybe 6 depending if i can get over the black widow thoughts on the Alanis ) .

We go away for 3 weeks at a time and are out most nights (and you simply cannot keep turning up to the Taverna in the same dress you know!).. I also wear them straight from the beach, and wandering around the town.. Cool, lightweight and super-comfy ( and you get a nice breeze under them Grin).

You look fab in the Venice dresses also. I found that the Haze VBD looked fine on me (but i didn't buy it because it felt like camouflage print to me , ( but the blue was not so good). I do like the red though, I couldn't find one in M to try . )

Boden print.. its a 50/50 yessie and no-ie from me .. its nice on you but not really my thing..

SoyYo · 15/05/2018 19:15

dontcallmehelen yeah I like pretty flip flops too (though I own just a few pairs, not boxes full Grin)
But look at the soles on these!! I'm almost sorry to wear them! LOL!
Sorry to derail Hush talk people but if you go to Spain look for Porronet flip flops/sandals there were lots of beauties there and I couldn't justify more on this trip
Just be careful who you ask though because "porro" in Spanish also means joint (as in Mari Juana) which left me wondering as to the manufacturers credentials 😂

oh and also wash a dry brilliantly dont really need ironing if you hang them up and let dry ....Also pack in small space also so great if you are taking you motor home abroad .

So yes, I'd say if you can afford it, then keep all 3!!

SoyYo · 15/05/2018 19:34

Cherries I think you'd get lots of wear out of all the maxis too but not sure about the orange on you, i think you suit bright red, navy, electric blue and black, more like the HOC winters with cool colouring and bright blue eyes/dark hair combo...

laska I'm not looking at more sandals 🙈Grin
You will not, I repeat, not look like a Greek village widow in the Alana, unless you decide to accessorise with a matching head scarf Grin

Laska5772 · 15/05/2018 19:38

I love the orange one !! (see me in it up-tread)

Laska5772 · 15/05/2018 19:44

Soy I thought maybe it would look ok with my gold star necklace and gold saltwaters or the sandals above .. but I am v pale , even in summer - burn easily and dont get a tan, just go a sort of 'dirty cream' with freckles if I am lucky - so I dont want to look too much like a Goth either

ilovecherries · 15/05/2018 19:48

SoYo, I wanted to be a HoC winter, the woman (who wasn't very good!) said I was a summer and should wear pastels. But I can't quite come to terms with them. She also said I should NEVER wear black. But I like it. Laska - I really don't think you will look like a Greek widow!

Laska5772 · 15/05/2018 19:50

I often get mistaken for a Scandi or German on hols , but hair (was ) dark.. now is pretty much grey ,..so I went Unnaturally Blonde (love it!).

I envy you your Spanish heritage .. soy

Laska5772 · 15/05/2018 19:51

I like you in stronger colours cherries (and the orange and blue wood print also ).. is your hair today like your natural colour?

ilovecherries · 15/05/2018 20:02

No, today's fair is a reddish colour - years ago would have called it titian. The bob I had on in the John Lewis pictures is probably nearest - a sort of mid ash brown.

dontcallmelen · 15/05/2018 20:03

@SoYo I’m off to menorca in July, they do fab sandals as well I bought shed loads last time I was on holiday, this time dd & dgd are coming I fear for my bank balance, agree Spanish shoes are great the leather is so soft & they do small sizes I’m a euro size 35 hard to get here, that’s my excuse😂

Ellapaella · 15/05/2018 20:15

Cherries everyone can wear black! It is the universal colour of style, a Parisian uniform! And I would happily challenge anyone who disagrees so I wouldn't listen to that woman who told you that you shouldn't wear it, utter tosh - you look amazing in the Alanis dress. Nothing is more chic and stylish than a well cut black item of clothing imo.
SoYo I love those coral suede shoes. 😍

Never just seen that JL have the Ivy in leopard in this evening S and XS !! Grin

DavetheCat2001 · 15/05/2018 21:02

@dontcallmelen we're off to Menorca too in August! Smile

We've been going there for a good few years now as have access to a family friends villa. It's such a fab place to take kids!

I also agree with you on the Menorcan sandals they sell there. I haven't got myself any yet but my DD (4) has a lovely glittery pair we go there last year.

dontcallmelen · 15/05/2018 21:14

@DavetheCat2001 it so fab for kids, we have been a few times but never with dd & dgd is two so her first holiday, am so looking forward to getting her some pretty sandals😳
I have made my maiden order, just ordered the denim skirt & yellow sloppy joe, does anyone have the Marisa dress? It’s oos in my size but looks so pretty.

Laska5772 · 15/05/2018 21:17

dont they have a few of the Marissa in John Lewis have you looked there for your size?

dontcallmelen · 15/05/2018 21:22

@Laska5772 ooh didn’t think of John Lewis, will scuttle off & have a nose, thank you.

boxoftoads · 15/05/2018 21:25

So two jumpsuits turned up today (my first hush order) I'm a pear shaped12 so ordered medium.

They are enormous, I'm properly drowning in them.

So should I go small or extra small?

neveradullmoment99 · 15/05/2018 21:25

Laska which size should I get?
