How much jewellery do you wear?

SSSandy2 · 05/05/2007 17:13

I don't usually wear much - gold watch, pearl studs, occasionally a ring.

Quite like that heavily laden look on some people though. Thinking of buying a stash of clunky, jingling bracelets...

SSSandy2 · 05/05/2007 17:56

no no I believed you womba Has to be gold or silver for me too usually, I mean plastic or wood or something is ok but I can't wear cheapo metal.

NoodleStroodle · 05/05/2007 17:57

Womba1 - are you sure it is not the metal reacting with you skin lotions & potions? My watch always turns me black if I put on too soon after lotioning. Also give it a good clean might help.

\link{http://www.monsoon.co.uk/invt/98142321\ooh I like these)

most of mine is from M&S I think
or Next
or Dorothy Perkins

tis very much goes-with-outfit stuff
(loving big creamy shell pendant with linen trousers and plain t at the moment)

SSSandy2 · 05/05/2007 18:00

noodle some of mine (diamonds etc) is FAKE

NoodleStroodle · 05/05/2007 18:01

Mrs Badger - I am really impressed that you buy jewellery to go with your outfits. Are you Trinny or Susannah?

NoodleStroodle · 05/05/2007 18:01

SSAndy - I should hope so too. Loosing it then becomes less of a trauma.

PeterAndreFanCLub · 05/05/2007 18:01

course you do!!!
like htese

womba1 · 05/05/2007 18:02

Noodlestroodle...i don't use any lotions on my skin at all..i guess i'm just super sensitive! It's odd though because my watch isn't gold and that doesn't affect me.

I bought some of that hyper-allergenic (sp?) varnish to apply to backs of earrings etc, but it made the reaction worse!

MrsBadger · 05/05/2007 18:03

neither - slimmer than one and curvier than the other

makes a huge difference - turns boring top-and-trous into Co-ordinated Outfit. Currently in dark jeans and orangey top with orangey amber pendant.

KTeePee · 05/05/2007 18:05

Wedding and engagement ring, watch, diamond studs for everyday (might change them if going out in evening). Often wear a necklace or pendant as well.

MrsBadger · 05/05/2007 18:05

cod those are v nice - good for the holiday
(am eyeing them up in coral)

NoodleStroodle · 05/05/2007 18:06

ooo those are nice, (what is cod please?)

ShowOfHands · 05/05/2007 18:11

Usually my wedding and engagement rings (white gold, aquamarine stone in engagement ring) but not at the moment as I'm big, fat, pregnant, swollen woman extraordinaire. Also wear a heather gem necklace that DH bought me for our first Christmas together years and years ago. Never take it off.

Have an enormous collection of ethnic/dangly earrings which I change daily.

MrsBadger · 05/05/2007 18:11

PeterAndresFanClub was once better known by a fishier name...

NoodleStroodle · 05/05/2007 18:13

Ta Mrs B

SSSandy2 · 05/05/2007 18:15

Anyone have a favourite precious stone? I like Aquamarine but don't have any (as yet).

SSSandy2 · 05/05/2007 18:16

mother's day soon, isn't it? Or have I missed it?

OP posts:
NoodleStroodle · 05/05/2007 18:17

Missed mothers day - it was a couple of months ago.

I love emeralds but don't have any. Apparently they are quite soft and prone to damage and I am quite heavy handed and careless...

SSSandy2 · 05/05/2007 18:18

love that dark green too

OP posts:
thequeenofcontradiction · 05/05/2007 18:20

Left hand: wedding ring (plain silver band)
Right hand: ring that was my grandfather's
Swatch

Thats it usually - DS pulls at necklaces and earrings.

I did buy a load of stuff at Claire's the other day.

SSSandy2 · 05/05/2007 18:22

Thinking I'll buy one nice bangle and a heap of costume jewellery bangles to wear with it and clunk about importantly for a bit.
