I got a 6 from John Lewis :) Hope it fits... I'm usually between a 6 and 8, but it seems leather stretches so should be okay (I hope!).

I think you'll be ok as kind as the sleeves fit.

My 12 was a little tight across the chest but fit perfectly now.

Despite saying I wasn't going to buy one due to shortness in length, I've succumbed to MN peer pressure (again) and sent for a 12 that appeared in Selfridges on Friday.

I did this once before when all of S&B went on a Boden cashmere frenzy a couple of years back. I've still got jumpers that are too small and unworn

It's here and so beautiful and soft... sleeves fit fine, it's not too short and it zips up (bit of a squeeze, but I'll wear it unzipped until it stretches).

Are Selfridges slower than JL then? I've never ordered from them before so have no experience.

It clearly doesn't suit everyone though hence the number of returns.

Mine came from Selfridges. I ordered on the 11th Jan and it arrived on the 16th so 3 working days.

My 12 has arrived!

It is a tiny bit snug over my large boobs, but is long enough for my 5ft 9in height and the sleeves actually reach my wrists on my orangutan length arms! That's a first.

A 14 would have been way too big I think, so once I've lost this Xmas weight it will be fine. I've got another 7lb to go and it always goes off my boobs and upper arms first.

Yay, glad it fits! You sounds a similar size and shape to me thenightsky. I have grey difficulty getting jackets to fit my gorilla arms!!

I would also light to know about protecting the leather?

Reviving this thread in the hope that someone will be able to tell me whether I need to weather-proof my Bales jacket.

I've been working out a lot so when I recently tried on the jacket I bought, it was too big for me. But as I'd not yet worn it anywhere yet, AllSaints let me exchange it for a size down - fab customer service!

Why would you revive this if you weren't telling people about a leather jacket bargain to be had?! Selfish, selfish, selfish.

I nearly squealed with excitement when this showed on active convos, thought I was heading for my bargain jacket.
