Babyliss big hair is AMAZING, why has no one on MN mentioned this before?!

Halo

Seriously though, I love it. I look like I’ve had a salon blow dry, achieved at home on a Wednesday morning with 2 small children under my feet.

I use it everyday. It’s brilliant.

QuiteLikeable · 27/12/2017 11:12

I've got one and can't seem to work it. Confused

Middleoftheroad · 27/12/2017 11:12

Is it any good for bob length fine, flat, flyaway crap hair?

MargotLovedTom1 · 27/12/2017 11:12

Have you only just joined? People have been raving about it on here for years Grin.

MargotLovedTom1 · 27/12/2017 11:13

Ah sorry, I see you were being ironic. Too knackered for subtlety!

strangerhoes · 27/12/2017 11:16

@middleoftheroad
Yes ideal

pastabest · 27/12/2017 11:16

It is good but a few years ago there was a thread about them somewhere almost all the time on MN. I think they are probably considered old news now by MNetters.

Mine must be still least 5 years old and bought on recommendation from MN Grin

I actually expected this to be a spoof thread!

blueskyinmarch · 27/12/2017 11:19

I have had one for years and i am always recommending it on here.

Longhairmightcare · 27/12/2017 11:31

quitelikable the penny dropped for me when I realised that you neeed to brush your hair slowly with it (80%dry) with the brush rotating. And change the direction of rotation when you swap sides. Once I got the hang of it (considering I’ve only used it twice) it is SO quick . Total game changer.

I’ve got thick collarbone length hair. I can’t see it not working on flyaway hair if used properly, but I can see it getting snarled up if not.
I think you’d have to a bit of length to drag down on IYSWIM so not sure about a bob.

pasta now you mention it I might have seen it talked about on here once or twice Xmas Wink

I should have made it more obvious that my OP was tongue in cheek Grin

Middleoftheroad yes it's excellent for fine flyaway crap hair.* But not for everyday use. I haven't got a lot of hair and find it pulls out lots more hair than ordinary blow drying.*

falange · 27/12/2017 13:53

Sorry. Don't know why I said most of the above in bold.

Freshprincess · 27/12/2017 13:59

just coming on to say 'are you new?' Grin
I gave into the hype last year and very pleased with it. I do mine from really wet rather than 80%, so sometimes it's not as smooth as it could be. Still looks loads better than normal blow drying.

mammmamia · 27/12/2017 14:00

Meh. Bought it after seeing it raved about on here. Did nothing for me and after a few years I sold it for £8 last week at a car boot sale Grin

deptfordgirl · 27/12/2017 14:00

Does anyone have Babyliss sheer volume hotbrush? I have this after reading Sali Hughes' review and can't seem to make it work...

neonpidgwidgeon · 27/12/2017 14:01

I like mine but I feel like my hair is not very smooth. I want it to look ghd sleek but with a bounce. Any suggestions?

collywobble · 27/12/2017 14:06

I'd like to try this . Would it work if you have micro ring hair extensions?

MustTidyUpMustTidyUp · 27/12/2017 14:06

Use smaller sections.

crazycatgal · 27/12/2017 14:08

I got one for xmas and haven't used it yet - hope I manage to get some volume into my hair.

Does anyone have any tips for use?

CremeFresh · 27/12/2017 14:10

Can you use it on wet hair that's just towel dry ? Or does it take ages ?

CremeFresh · 27/12/2017 14:12

I had a round hot air hairdryer ages ago but it got so hot I couldn't use it.

cuirderussie · 27/12/2017 14:19

Total game channger. I couldn't do without mine. 10 mins every morning and I look like someone who's vaguely in control of her life! Xmas Wink

AstridWhite · 27/12/2017 14:22

I am on my second one and I love it so so much. Even though I now have a Dyson hair dryer and some GHDs there is nothing to touch my BBH. I am crap at blow drying and it’s the only thing that makes my hair look bouncy and shiny without being a horrible birds nest.

Deemail · 27/12/2017 14:30

I love mine too, I'm tempted by the new sheer volume brush now too but I've also got a steampod which I also love so not sure I need all 3.

Neonpidgwigdgon are you using a styling product? I love the steam pod creme, I always put it in my hair wet regardless which hair tool I use and it makes my hair really smooth. I'd suggest trying a good smoothing heat defence followed by a serum/oil after styling.

Aducknotallama · 27/12/2017 14:36

I absolutely love mine.
