A fab beautifully fitted black and white print dress - just GORGEOUS

a crocheted and sequined cardi - lovely teal colour

couple of t-shirts

cool kind of pale khaki and brown print foofy skirt with sash at the side - sort of vintage looking

AND - a present for NQC which I am QUITE excited about

I bought a great pair of linen mix trousers there the other day £10. argain!

Matalan has some fab stuff in amongst the crap - so does Asda - I don't know why anybody spends any more than £10 an item anywhere

Franny, I think DD2 tried on the black & white print dress but sadly it didn't beautifully fit her, she was the wrong shape

They're not badly made though. And they're not crap either.

The dress is FAB

I was trying everything on as my summer clothes are all too tight and none of it was fitting and you know the Matalan changing room mirrors are just GRIM

was about to go home and slit wrists but then tried on the dress Gorgeous I am SO pleased with it

I agree re craply made crap but not about Matalan

I have stuff I got from there 4 years ago still going strong. I think the stuff is well made for the price - lasts better than other chain stores IMO eg Next

am going out to garage to get dress (had to hide it there so inlaws didn't see shopping bags when I returned )

funny as nicest thing in the shop

Right is cream with very bold black chunky flower print, kind of tribal or something

shoulder straps, cross over bodice, fitted undr bustline (very strange as this doesn't usually suit me), A line knee length skirt

is really only nice way to photograph clothes, they look limp hanging up on your wardrobe, and who wants to see your crumpled old duvet?

Oh, that isn't the one DD tried on but yes, it is beautiful!

Thing is with Matalan that things flash in and out and then they're on to the next thing - they don't have stuff in for weeks on end like proper shops. (Presumably that'll be why the pyjamas always seem to end up with size 10 tops and size 22 bottoms. There must be some very unbalanced women out there)
