A fab beautifully fitted black and white print dress - just GORGEOUS

a crocheted and sequined cardi - lovely teal colour

couple of t-shirts

cool kind of pale khaki and brown print foofy skirt with sash at the side - sort of vintage looking

AND - a present for NQC which I am QUITE excited about

I got some great boots there last year and my friend went in the same day and they had sold out!
I usually do Ok for shoes in there as I am a size 3-4 and they are usually left over.Got some trainers in ths kids sale the other week for £3!

Seriously, I think today was the first time I tried on clothes in Next.

Matalan is also a big box out of town store, right? I don't do driving, hence tendency not to go to these things.

(I need to go to Uniqlo sometime.)

Went today to stock up on tshirts for DD1 to wear to nursery when the weather gets warmer.

Got a couple of pairs of jogging bottoms for me to wear at home in winter.

Yes it is big warehouse thingy

bizarrely is in walking distance from my house

Have had a look, my nearest isn't that far, and is in the direction of the co-op, might try sometime.

Or maybe not. I think I am Stopping shopping for clothes, will go mad in Old Navy when home ...

I like that dress. My Mum bought me a similarly shaped top out of Next for my birthday - ie the cross over thing over the bust with a fitted band underneath and it didn't fit me. She bought it in a 10 and it was too tight around the ribs but gaped on the norks. DH suggested I tried it in a 12 - so guess what - it fitted on the ribs and was totally indecent above. I don't seem to do that shape very well. I quite liked the top and it would have gone with my brown linen trousers. I like your dress, and I think I like your skirt.

Well it is odd, because things that fit under the bust normally don't look good on me, but for some reason this cross over fitted dress thing does work. I have two other slightly longer dresses with the same top shape and I think they look nice on me

The style of straps etc makes a big difference. Regular tank tops make me look like a ... well, a tank. Racerbacks look great.

I am going to have to buy that silver racerback tank top, aren't I.

I think my problem is a broad back and not so large boobs. But I am jutting out of my B cups now in a most unstylish 4 nork type manner. This thread is going to do good work and send me to the gym in the morning to work off some of the podge. Might also fit a lunch hour trip to Matalan in next week.

Bozza, I am wide shouldered and small norked (size 14 top, only 36B boobs, and not overflowing at all). Racerbacks are your friend.

Franny I am very at the dress. It is the perfect shape for over trousers until one plucks up courage to bare legs. And love the skirt too.

And if NQC isn't duely appreciative of the S&C bag, you know at least one other person who would appreciate it!

Bloody Matalan is on a hideous shopping estate near us, designed to be impossible to get to by public tranport and containing a Mcdonalds.
I'm going to nag dh to take us on the pretext of nice men's shirts in stock, heh heh heh. Then wehn we get there I can just do the ''oh they must have sold out'' thing

Is the White Stuff shop everywhere??
I went into the one in town near me on sat and I loved it, could have easilt bought most the stock, but it was a bit pricy

FMF the stock just goes whoooooomf so if you want that very dress I would go now. Tonight.
