Mine is stardust.

Youcanstayundermyumbrella · 22/12/2017 15:50

I don't know which varnish I have but I bunged a single coat on bare nails on Tuesday evening (very rarely wear anything on my nails) and although it feels gritty, it's stayed on, not turned white and looks quite pretty.

AnneLovesGilbert · 22/12/2017 16:33

Loved the good polish. I’m incredibly pale and it somehow suited me. Lasted ages too and a nice fat brush. Not tried the sparkly one yet but DSC is dead keen and it’ll go with everything.

Anyone give me tips on the face skin eater? Finally found it again this afternoon and going to give it a go later. Bung it on a clean dry face, how much and then what?

CoffeeAndCupcakes85 · 22/12/2017 16:36

I'm excited about today's! I've use daily primer a few times (cheap brands) but usually don't bother, so I'm looking forward to trying this one!

After raving about how happy I was to get the face oil yesterday, I actually opened it today and can confirm I have one from the 'fish' batch 😂🐠.

SunnyUpNorth · 22/12/2017 17:02

I thought the oil smelt of rose, then read the fish comments and can now smell the fishy smell too! I don't think it is fishy, I think it is just an oddly fragranced rose smell.

I hadn't bothered trying the second mascara as usually only use waterproof but gave it a go and am loving it. If anyone hasn't opened theirs (the Ciglione / Diego dalla Palma one) I would be very up for a swop for that.

jlbcredit · 22/12/2017 17:09

I just used the peel thing too last night - not sure what it's meant to do! There are little bits in it that aren't rough so don't scrub (not that I think scrubby exfoliators are great for facial skin anyway) but just seem to roughen it up a bit?

I like my smashbox primer - it makes a real difference - but always happy to try a new one.

Enjoying this calendar after a lukewarm start (did NOT enjoy day 1!) - whoever was saying these are all samples - they're not - samples are tiny squirts in a sachet so you can check if it brings you out in a rash/the colour suits you etc. These are all either full-size (or near enough) like the makeup, or at least travel/trial-size big enough to use it for a few weeks. I still have several products from last year even the ones I used fairly regularly alongside my normal stuff!

happypoobum · 22/12/2017 17:45

So what do we do with the face footner then? Just rub it in, leave it for a bit and then remove it?

Or is it an overnight jobby?

OP posts:
TheLongRider · 22/12/2017 17:53

The face footner - put it on dry skin, it's quite liquid. Spread it on the skin and then firmly roll your fingertips over it and your skin. You'll find it forms little balls. It's not itchy or scrubby. It just rolls into little balls.

If you're using it after a cleanser it will prove how well the cleanser removes make up. If your skin isn't clean the little balls will be an interesting colour.

You will need to wipe off the remains before putting on any other skincare.

AnneLovesGilbert · 22/12/2017 17:55

That’s very useful, thank you!

SunnyUpNorth · 22/12/2017 18:39

The face footner is very strange but satisfying and left my skin so soft. Must try it again. That's the sort of product I have really enjoyed trying as didn't know such a thing existed and probably wouldn't have taken a punt on it if I saw it in store.

Newbiecat · 22/12/2017 18:50

I too love the second mascara (ciglione one) after my skin reacting badly to the first. I love the dragons blood and have just finished it so treated myself to the N+F one from Boots with my advantage points! Hopefully it is similar. I've never used anything like this before and my skin complexion has really evened out.
I'm prone to hormonal acne breaks around my chin and even this has been better. Can't decide if it's the dragons blood serum or Gatineau face cream that's done it. Hmm
I'm
Not going to open the face oil as it will trigger my skin- would anyone fancy a swap for the Gatineau cream (unlikely I know!) I also haven't opnebed the EH cleanser thinking it wouldn't be great for oily skin either

Invisimamma · 22/12/2017 19:32

I like the nail polishes, the gold isn’t great with my skin tone but the glittery one is fun for this time of year! I’m also terrible at applying nail varnish so it doesn’t show my mistakes as much, I’ve done a top coat to seal it, hopefully it doesn’t start flaking tomorrow.

snowflakestar · 22/12/2017 19:41

That's lovely, Alanna.

PeppersTheCat · 22/12/2017 20:14

I also haven't opnebed the EH cleanser thinking it wouldn't be great for oily skin either

Yes, has anyone got thoughts on this?

fredabear · 22/12/2017 20:22

I have used EH cleanser on my oily skin without any ill effects

NefretForth · 22/12/2017 21:05

I have oily skin and the EH cleanser seems to be fine for me - I'm not sure I would buy it again as it's a faff (normally I wash my face in the shower in the morning, and cleanse with micellar water in the evening), but I've been using it once a day since I got it and haven't had a break-out yet.

FuckYouDailyMail · 22/12/2017 21:08

Nefret I've been putting the cleansing balm on and then washing it off when in the shower. Very happy at how easy it is to use this way.

happypoobum · 22/12/2017 21:14

nefret

I also do this - I have a huge pot of EH in the shower and use it in the morning whilst my conditioner is soaking in.

I have oily skin and this balm suits me really well - plus I just love the smell of it.

I've been really very naughty and opened tomorrow's box as I'm up early in the morning and won't have time Xmas Grin No spoilers though.

I used the primer today with many misgivings (I'm a Porefessional worshipper) and it was surprisingly v v good, I'd be tempted to buy it along with the radiance peel which I love.

Sparkly nail polish from earlier in the week has been gifted to BF's 14 year old daughter, she'll love it. I liked it but I have a lot of nail polish Xmas Grin

For anyone who didn't know (you probably do though) Rodial and Nip+Fab are the same company. Bought a Rodial concealer and a N+F frown reducing cream last week, the brush dispenser is exactly the same!

ihatethecold · 23/12/2017 08:03

Love today’s. I bought a full size pot after getting this last year but smashed it recently on my tile floor 😫
It’s a fab cream for a decent price.

AmethystMoon · 23/12/2017 08:06

I need this! Hope it lives up to its promise Xmas Grin

Xmasbaby11 · 23/12/2017 08:18

Todays looks good. I love all this skincare!

wellthatsjustgreat · 23/12/2017 08:41

Are we still all being really positive and not moaning at all? Thing is, I am trying but there is now only 1 day left and it seems unlikely that I'll get any eye cream/treatment Sad
Considering the target market, you'd think tired eyes might be a priority or even a mild concern.
Oh well.....another face cream to try out isn't the end of the world & at least it isn't rose scented Smile

wellthatsjustgreat · 23/12/2017 08:42

Is there a swaps thread yet or do we wait until after Christmas?

Xmasbaby11 · 23/12/2017 08:47

I'd also love an eye cream or eye makeup. I'm surprised there hasn't been an eye cream as we've had tons of face stuff.
