Odd day scent wise
Started off in PP cinnabar
Then after my bath i put on PP obsession - yuck!! Nothing like the original at all!
So now I'm in sexiest scent 😍

Sounds a plan Count - thank you. Have my box. Have been very retrained and have not dipped in at all - chocolate aside. Thought the chocolate was a bit odd - didn't seem to melt in the mouth...so quite unvelvety texture-wise.

mrsR my mum worked as a dinner lady until my little brother was in high school. Perfect hours for someone with wee kids. teta she has also suggested that he “does some classes at the local community centre to improve his skills” - the local community centre is used for the school breakfast club and judo. Not sure how useful they would be on top of his eight highers, his degree, and his professional accreditation, tbh. God.

SOTD is Byredo Gypsy Water. My perfume box has never come, btw, I ordered it last weekend. Do other people have theirs?

SotD was going to be What I Did on my Holidays but then it started snowing and it felt a bit inappropriate. So I went for Noix de Tuberose instead. Really very lovely (thanks Bluebell) Did get paranoid that I was imagining the violet and it was sort of "burnt on" (like the h8me screen on a cash machine if you know what I mean) but relieved to find it really is there. Also amused by the fragrantica review suggesting It's what a 60+ lady would wear to Russian Theatre. I'm obviously living the wrong life...

Cheap, I also have the velvet box but no subscription box. Wasn't sure if there was one though? There's no joining gift tab. Or do we need to get the VIP subscriber card first and then we get it? I'm a bit confused TBH.

Hi everyone- sorry I’ve been MIA - terrible cold and I can’t smell a thing. Which is pretty crap considering I got my delightful deliveries on Friday from Cheap and Calm ... thank you both so much, you are very kind to include the extras! I’m now laden with 4160 samples, a mystery gourmand and a lovely sounding AC, but I can’t smell them!

Judy so sorry DP didn’t get the job and also sorry you have to deal with unhelpful advice.

Re: Perfume Society- I think they’re being unusually slow after Christmas. They possibly have a backlog? I got my box on Friday. There is definitely a VIP box, sometimes they do send boxes separately so that’s probably what’s happened. They are very helpful on the phone if you need to chase up.

Felt the need for grown up grande dame today so it's been vintage Dioressence. Think will spend the week dabbling in the vintage box.

Business as usual in Coromandel.

SotD: for two days running has been Our Modern Lives Blue Screen/Blue Horizaon - Perspective. (I've needed some). This is my favourite from the OML naturals. It's a beautiful, gentle frankincense with fruit bowl citrus. It lasts really well for something made only from naturals - at least 4-5 hours. Yup, I'd say this 'helps restore balance .

SOTD is MMM Fireplace. Needed something cosy to see me through Monday with horrible period pain. Now in pjs and we have cake for after dinner, so the day is saved!

Have just got into Fume Chat podcasts having followed a link from The Perfume Society. Really enjoying them - it's like having you lot here in the kitchen with me .

MrsR Shazam is on my to try list... already have EMS though. Don't know if I've got anything for a swap... something Vanillery maybe? Could have a rummage...

SotD has been AC Cafe Tuberosa. Was the first one in the advent calendar and I sort of forgot how much I liked It!!

Well done Piam for getting through it - hope that’s it for extra curricular work. I think tonight is the first night I haven’t worked since Christmas- not really making the most of it though as I’m lounging on the sofa feeling poorly.

Ooh trying to work out who you are mrsgrubber those podcasts sound good. How do you go about listening on an iPhone to a podcast then? Podcasts have completely passed me by until now - I got a Bluetooth speaker for Xmas so now have the ability to listen while cooking

Really hoping my sense of smell returns soon. I can’t taste much and it’s miserable. I clearly derive a lot of pleasure from taste and scent as I feel quite lost without them!
