Didn't see much for me today, but branch isn't very big. I did buy 3 ra-ra skirts for dd for 2 quid each though.

MamaG · 19/04/2007 23:14

I've been in once
it was AWFUL

I came out shaking and shoving chavs out of hte way

redhotdiva · 19/04/2007 23:15

there is a maxi dress but you have to be 6ft tall to wear it

StyleCouncil · 19/04/2007 23:15

There is a fab bag in there at the moment - its an Orla Kiely style bag. Lots of shades of green.

Beauregard · 19/04/2007 23:16

I quite like it but then i'm a chav.
I always feel rich when i go in there as i can afford anything in the shop, lol.

I bought a smock top type thing a couple of weeks ago - but DH doesn't like it and I think he is probably right.
(He likes me in my Boden dresses though. )

stitch · 19/04/2007 23:19

pelvic, i have found that its better to look at price per wear.
a top that cossts 7 pounds in primark that you wear twice is more expensive than a top that cost 25 pounds, but youwear 8 times.
price per wear, dd's clothes from boden are the cheapest she has.

crunchie · 19/04/2007 23:19

that maxi dress was fab, I bougt it, but had to take it back as I am only 5'3" and it would mean too much taking up!!

DimpledThighs · 19/04/2007 23:19

thing is that if there is anything good in primark loads of people get it and it becomes known as 'that coat from primark'.

There is something about the cheapness that makes me shudder a bit.

crunchie · 19/04/2007 23:21

stich I have to disagree, I wear Primark clothes, I have a couple of great smock dresses that I wear constantly with leggings at the mo (I sling them on after work) I also have a few basic tshirty ling tops that I find I need to replace every year. I always buy new black tshirts each year and black vests, so cost per wear Primark £2.50, Boden £10, I wear every single day to work, primark = 0.1p per wear

princesscc · 19/04/2007 23:22

Bloody snobs - the lot of you! I'll go to Primark with you Pelvic! I'm not proud!

Beauregard · 19/04/2007 23:24

Cheers Princesscc

Exactly chrunchie! And if you ruin something from there, its only £2.50 down the pan!

ScummyMummy · 19/04/2007 23:25

I went to the big one in london yesterday. Bought a lovely 100% cashmere jumper for £25. Plus a nice tank top. Some great basic workwear- some wide legged trousers and a boring but nice skirt. Got loads of t shirts. And a really very nice cushion.

Beauregard · 19/04/2007 23:27

Now that's what a girl likes to hear!

and posh stuff needs to be washed more carefully I find. I think Boden is more obviously stand outy as 'odh look she got that from Boden' Than primark

ScummyMummy · 19/04/2007 23:29

People were eyeing me in a specific "ah ha! someone went overboard in primark" type way and giving my partner symapthetic glances as we lugged it all home. They were just though.

redhotdiva · 19/04/2007 23:29

i dont know anyone who can wear the maxi dress iam 5 6 so not small and i would have had to take up at least 6ins

Beauregard · 19/04/2007 23:30

Yeah they look at me like that too.

Where's the big one in London, Oxford St I presume. I've been to the big one at Lakeside, is it any bigger do you know?

ScummyMummy · 19/04/2007 23:33

The new Oxford St one is the biggest i've ever been in but i've not visited Lakeside.
