Does anyone do a 'full face of makeup' every day?

Does anyone actually do this every day? I'm talking about false eyelashes, contouring etc. If so how long does it take you?

I don't not because o don't want too either. I feel good when I have make up on. I have horrible bags under my eyes from lack of sleep and very pale so make up gives me a more alive look and feeling.
I don't do it as I am rubbish at it. I have never really learnt make up properly before and I haven't a clue what to do with most the stuff so end up making my face look worse most of the time rather than better.

buggerthebotox · 05/12/2017 14:55

I'm convinced I look terrible without it. Mine's:

Foundation
Concealer.
Powder.
Lippy and liner.
Eyeshadow.
Kohl (sometimes).

Takes a couple of minutes.

QueenofLouisiana · 05/12/2017 18:08

I’d have said that I do a full face:
Colour correction cream
Foundation
Highlighting cream
Blusher
Eye pencil
Mascara
Lipstick
Brows groomed

I have a skin condition so rarely leave Home without a full coverage which means I need the rest to make me look less washed out.

@LoveYouTimMinchin haha

managedmis · 01/02/2020 01:16

Foundation
Under eye concealer
Powder
Mascara
lip balm

That's my full face

Sometimes use eyeliner

Ofthread · 01/02/2020 01:42

Not full face: foundation, concealer, maybe powder, brow gel, mascara, liquid lipstick, usually a bit of bronze/blush. Takes 5-10 mins. Can't really make highlight work & think most people look like they have stripes or grey bits on their faces.

BemidjiMinnesota · 01/02/2020 02:22

For work I do a full face: primer, foundation etc. But not false eyelashes and contouring; I think they only look good in photographs. In person, and especially in the daytime, it looks really OTT.

At the weekend I just wear mascara and tinted lipbalm; maybe a BB cream if I'm looking particularly dead.

StCharlotte · 01/02/2020 09:48

Nope but mostly because there is no foundation on this earth that sits well on my skin. No idea why. Fortunately my complexion and colouring look okay without.

So it's usually just mascara and lippy. If it's a special occasion I'll use Nanoblur and do a truncated version of the "hooded" eye makeup. If it's a very special occasion, I'll do some tightlining and brow treatment.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 01/02/2020 10:15

I wear foundation, concealer, powder, eyeliner, mascara and lipstick. Sometimes blusher and eyeshadow too.

I agree with the pantomime comment too,I didn't think it was possible to wear more makeup than we all did on the 80s but it definitely is Grin

People think they look flawless and they might in selfies with alighting and a filter but walking down the high street in broad daylight I've yet to see anyone looking flawless.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 01/02/2020 10:16

** meant to say, takes me 5 mins and usually every day,I see it as part of getting dressed so just part of normal routine.

Cbeebieslover · 06/02/2020 07:25

That is in pantomime territory

Cbeebieslover · 06/02/2020 07:26

Pantomime territory

trixiebelden77 · 06/02/2020 08:31

I wear makeup every day.

Have never worn flash lashes or done any contouring. I have ‘strong’ features; I need to avoid looking like a drag queen.

trixiebelden77 · 06/02/2020 08:31

*false lashes

Although they are probably also flash.

cavabiensepasser · 06/02/2020 18:41

Yep. The full works, every day.
Instagram makeup and tracksuits. :))

Keepmewarm · 06/02/2020 19:18

I really wish that I was good at applying makeup!
I do:

Daily
Primer
Foundation
Clear mascara
Blush

Night out
As above plus eyeshadow and red lips

happytobemrsg · 06/02/2020 21:54

I LOVE putting on makeup but I only do it maybe 4 days a week (I work 2, then if I go out somewhere nice-ish). I wear lash extensions so that saves me time. So my full make up consists of:
Moisturiser
Liquid foundation
Liquid concealer
Powder blusher
Liquid lipstick
Takes no more than 10 minutes

CountFosco · 06/02/2020 23:46

I am slightly horrified that someone spends 1h20m per day on doing their makeup. So much effort on something that actually causes some people to judge you negatively. Do some exercise or get more sleep in that time, both will have a more positive impact on your appearance.

dontgobaconmyheart · 07/02/2020 01:10

No. Never.

I wear makeup most days, definitely if I'm going out and will do light/medium coverage foundation, undereye concealer cream blush, tinted brow gel, tightline the upper eyes, mascara and some sort of tinted lip balm. Takes 10 mins.

I've never worn false lashes or contoured etc. I think it always looks a bit jarring to see that look in the daytime unless at s special occasion. Not saying it looks 'bad' - just jarring or a bit much. Each to their own though. Very glam isnt really my personality but some people do pull it off.

RiskIt4Biscuit · 07/02/2020 09:29

I think it's important to remember that contouring can look very natural. Certain false lashes can look very natural.
So contouring and false lashes as part of a look does not mean pantomime territory, any more than liner and lipstick does.

I do a full face every day, but rarely use lashes.
I generally use:
Foundation
Blusher
Mascara
Lipstick
Eyeshadow, including tightlining

Cbeebieslover · 07/02/2020 10:24

@CountFosco it does not just takes 5min /20 min up to 2 hours for discos

CountFosco · 07/02/2020 11:02

I was talking about Normally takes me anywhere from an hour to an hour and 20 mins from Sailorjerrycherry, second post in the thread. Fair enough taking a long time over doing makeup for a disco if that's your thing.

AlexaAmbidextra · 07/02/2020 11:29

When working I used to do:
Foundation
Concealer
Powder
Blusher
Eye shadow
Eyebrow pencil
Mascara
Lipstick

Now I’m retired I do the above if I’m going out for the day/to meet friends etc. but on days when I have nothing special to do I just cleanse and moisturise.

professionalnomad · 07/02/2020 11:48

Full(ish) face 5 days a week for work
I like to dress and feel very polished for work as I find it gives me confidence
