Does anyone do a 'full face of makeup' every day?

Does anyone actually do this every day? I'm talking about false eyelashes, contouring etc. If so how long does it take you?

I don't every day - I have cream eye shadow, mascara and lipstick in my desk just in case but generally I don't wear makeup. Occasionally I'll wear a BB cream, powder, cream blush, eye shadow and mascara - takes about 5-10 minutes. If we're having a night out and I'm going 'all out' then it's liquid foundation, powder, cream blush, eye primer, several blended eyeshadows, liquid eyeliner, mascara, lipstick and lipcote, and a little powder to define my brows. That probably takes about 20-25 minutes.

I do a full face about 5 days a week; contour, eyelashes, cut crease, baking etc. I do it because I enjoy it rather than having to do it! I find it really relaxing and feel good all day when I’ve it done it. I figure if I’m awake early I’d rather do that than lie in bed on my phone. Normally takes me anywhere from an hour to an hour and 20 mins which I’m aware most people will think is a massive waste of time but I enjoy it Smile

Tisfortired · 04/12/2017 20:29

I work full time so 5 days a week I do primer, concealer, foundation, blush, highlight, fill eyebrows, eyeliner and mascara.

At the weekend I cannot be bothered so am totally barefaced usually to let my skin breathe.

Tinselistacky · 04/12/2017 20:33

Mm lets see - - - 6 dc to get out of the house by 830...
Not a bloody chance!!
Eye liner, mascara and concealer for the bags under my eyes!!
So glad winter is here - grab a festive woolly hat and no need to straighten hair!!

LadyOfTheCanyon · 04/12/2017 20:35

Most days ( for work) it's
Foundation
Concealer
Blush
Bronzer
Highlighter
Powder
Eyeshadow
Eyeliner
Eyebrow pencil
Mascara
Lipstick

Takes 10 minutes, 15 minutes tops if I'm farting about.

I carry powder, bronzer, eyebrow pencil and lipstick with me in case I need to go day to night

Weekends and days off I don't bother unless leaving the house. Poor DH hardly ever gets to see me made up!

WeAreEternal · 04/12/2017 20:39

I do a full face every day, 7 days a week.

Primer, foundation, concealer, setting powder, countour, blush, pomade for brows, eyeshadow, liner, mascara, lipstick.

Usually I just go for a natural/nude look so it’s a ‘light’ full face.

I love make up, I enjoy applying it and I like how it looks.

It takes me around half an hour on a morning but if rushed I can do it in 15-20 minutes.

Judydreamsofhorses · 04/12/2017 20:41

I do pretty much the same as lady - but no bronzer, just nude eyeshadow, and always red lipstick. A night time face would be the same but with flicky eyeliner. Work face takes about seven minutes.

Also the same in that my DP is a lucky man and mainly sees me bare-faced (frequently in “lounge wear”, currently also with a blob of Sudocrem on a spot).

Maraki · 04/12/2017 20:44

Yes, every day, 7 days a week since I was 17. That is foundation, eyebrows, sometimes concealer, eye pencil, mascara, blusher, lipstick. Takes me 10mins tops

MrsGrindah · 04/12/2017 20:45

What’s cut crease and baking? ( I’m possibly on the wrong thread!)

LoveYouTimMinchin · 04/12/2017 20:48

I think people can legitimately say they are wearing a full face of makeup every day without false eyelashes and contouring. If and when you go that far you are in pantomime territory.

Kenworthington · 04/12/2017 20:50

Yes every day but not as much as in the op

Primer
Foundation
Bronzer
Highlighter
Blush
Eye liner
Eye shadow
Mascara
Lippy

I like the way it looks. I wear more now than I ever did when I was young

TheLegendOfBeans · 04/12/2017 20:54

Primer
Colour correctors (green for my Celtic cheeks, purple to illuminate my dead skin)
Mineral foundation powder
Bronzer powder
Blusher
Strobe stick
Eyeshadow
Liner
Mascara
Tinted lipgloss

I can do this in approx 5-10 mins but only do it 5 days a week on average as I have a newborn & a toddler [santa]

LookMoreCloselier · 04/12/2017 21:00

Foundation, blusher, eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara and lipstick. Every day. I look dead without it.

PurpleDaisies · 04/12/2017 21:03

What’s cut crease and baking? ( I’m possibly on the wrong thread!)

I was wanting to ask the sand question!

Zoomaa · 04/12/2017 21:11

Cut crease is a style of eyeshadow and baking is a method of applying powder to achieve a really flawless look.

I do a full face every day. Sometimes I leave off the base layer at the weekend if I can't be arsed.

I haven't had a day without blush, bronzer, highlighter, eyeshadow, mascara and lipstick for about 4 years.

I do it because I like how it looks.

RoseWhiteTips · 04/12/2017 21:12

Eyelashes - as in false - and contouring? Erm no. And I never ever would. Ghastly.

RatherBeCrazy · 04/12/2017 21:14

I feel the need to comment to give some balance. I wear make up when I go out out, and wear it for work about once every couple of months. I quite like putting it on, but hate taking it off at the end of the day. I look much better with make up but I don't hate how I look without it. I always think my male colleagues don't do it, so why should I feel like I have to.

crazycatgal · 04/12/2017 21:14

I do all of that apart from false eyelashes (they irritate my eyes) for uni and on a weekend but not when I'm working at school because only a small amount of make-up is allowed.

RoseWhiteTips · 04/12/2017 21:14

“pantomime territory”

Xmas Grin x 100

crazycatgal · 04/12/2017 21:15

@RoseWhiteTips Why do you feel the need to be judgey? If you don't like it fine but there's no need to be judgemental.

roobrr · 04/12/2017 21:18

Me! False lashes, the lot.
Takes about an hour - my eyebrows take the longest.

RoseWhiteTips · 04/12/2017 21:19

What about the person who said pantomime territory? Are you going to admonish her, too?

RoseWhiteTips · 04/12/2017 21:22

I wear:
moisturiser
cover up under the eyes
tiny bit of blusher
eyeshadow
mascara
eyebrow pencil

The natural look is fresh and cool.

Zoomaa · 04/12/2017 21:27

I should add I don't hate what I look like without makeup on and I don't feel I "should" or "have to" wear it.

I just like it

LoveYouTimMinchin · 04/12/2017 21:31

Hello, it was me who said "pantomime territory".

When I bump into a person in Lidl (for example) with a full-on contoured face and massive false eyelashes, I always think pantomime dame, drag queen or porn star. I'm very middle aged and not at all used to the massively overdone look. This is just MY opinion of course.
