Getting gel nails done for first time in yonks tomorrow.

Any inspo for me?

@jmscp2015 those are stunning.

@sureitsgrand @Curiousgeorgey

Thank you! They are definitely my favourite out of all the colours/combinations I’ve had so far (and I’ve had millions!). Helps they ‘go’ with everything too. I’m having the same again next time, don’t even care if that’s boring Grin

I realllly love getting gel nails but when I had had them consecutively for two months I found that my nails had thinned so much that they became very bendy and weak at the ends so the gel chipped and the nails broke under it! I’ve been growing them all out for five weeks now and they still can’t stop flaking. Not able to grow the nails past my fingertips at all yet.
I can see the regrowth is fine but I wish I could just wear them continuously!

SNS nails - I'm a convert as they're really hardwearing!

I've only ever had one set - really liked them but my nails were damaged underneath as it came off.
Stupid question but are infills? Do the put a bit more on the regrowth bit? How do you keep the nails short - would clipping them not damage the gel? Also, what if you want a different colour??

See you Susan! She knows...

Aria. Your black with sparkles is lovely. What's the make/ shade? I think that might be my Christmas nails

Freshly done Gelish - A touch of sass

I get 3 weeks out of mine - although tbh it's not even so much about the regrowth at the bottom as the fact I like polished nails to be short, and as they grow so fast, after 3 weeks I'm eager to get them clipped and filed down nice and neat. I don't mind longer nails if I'm wearing clear polish or simply buffed natural nails if I'm giving them a break between gels which is waaaay overdue as I've had them back to back since Jan, and not likely to give them another break until I'm off work over Xmas, oops, but I only like wearing reds or dark colours on short nails

I much prefer Gelish to Shellac - I find Gelish to be pretty bullet proof

Bought a gel kit for dd for Christmas - she is really into her nails but she'll have to practice on me as school won't allow painted nails - I'll bear the burden instead! I want them now!

These are mine currently and my last set from 3 weeks ago
Next ones due on Friday and thinking of going for a subtle red glitter with a silver ring finger.

Have works Xmas party and am wearing a red jumpsuit with silver accessories so nails will match
