Hello everyone!

I thought I'd start a new thread since we bought so much stuff we filled up the old one! Who's coming with me?

Anyone know how long before Hush usually do their 'new lines added' / 'further reductions'? Typically the couple of things I want aren't in the sale (but other colour ways are so hoping they might be included later!).

Love love love my reversible jumpers recently purchased!

Laska5772 · 06/01/2018 08:44

yay!! I managed to swipe a pair of jersey PJs in M this morning!! i also got the jersey nightie in S.. it may be a bit too Small but thought id give it a go ... Smile

Chicinwellies · 06/01/2018 10:24

I love the Claudine Shopper.
My sister has it and I can’t find one online anymore. It’s gorgeous.

chloechloe · 06/01/2018 12:32

The sizing on the jersey nightie is quite generous laska so it should hopefully fit!

first items of sale items arrived. Jada tunic is lovely but i definitely think too big even though i am 14 on top, so glad i have the xs coming from JL. i will definitely keep one of them. Felix dress is nice but going back as have decided i just dont think ill wear it much ( hopefully leaving work soon) Pia scarf gorgeous but i knew it was as had ordered it before and sent back as too expensive....

Good to hear about the nightie sizing chloe looking forward to it coming!

neveradullmoment99 · 06/01/2018 17:12

I feel the same about the Felix. It's too big across the shoulders and I just don't love the colour. It's going back.

mowglik · 06/01/2018 17:31

My Marina skirt in burgundy arrived - just as I was getting ready and unsure what to wear. I put the skirt on to try and kept it on Grin lovely colour, wore a black thin hoody with it and it looks good.

I ordered an 8 as that’s all that was left and sadly it does give me a muffin top so will have to be careful what I wear with it, the 12 in black was a lovely loose fit for me

Re SS18 I really like the star jumpers but can’t see myself being a fan of the diamond motif as much... maybe I should nab a star jumper before they go out of season!

miffy2 · 06/01/2018 21:22

Not mad keen on the new diamond motif. Hmmm.

Anyone tried the Mila striped trousers? I am tempted. I would be between 12 and 14 in Hush trousers, there is only a 14 left but I think this style might suit being a bit loose around the hips?

I really want the Pia scarf but need to order something else to justify the shipping :)

I might wait till Monday and see if anything has been returned!

Laska5772 · 07/01/2018 08:22

Jada XS arrived much better.. Definitely a keeper .

hendricksyousay · 07/01/2018 09:12

Hi , has anyone got the althea dress ? Does it come up big or small? What size would you say a small or medium relates to?

Talisin · 07/01/2018 11:35

I have the Althea in medium. I’m a 12 (currently larger end of, heading to a 14) and the medium is a forgiving fit. If you’re any smaller than me then I’d say go down a size.

Talisin · 08/01/2018 14:19

Well both my sale orders turned up first thing this morning and I’m keeping it all. The green Felix from last (last) year, I actually prefer to this years maroon version - it feels slightly thinner material and also a little smaller and it hangs better. The maroon lightning tee was a no brainer, I knew I’d be keeping that as I got a lot of wear out of the black and white version last year and I like this colourway more. The velvour Marina I thought probably wouldn’t work but I really, really like it. And helpfully it looks good with my Mango sale (covered in lightning bolts, very Hush-like) jumper that also arrived this morning.

Unless the Alexis trousers go down in price significantly then I’m done with the sales (and my bank balance heaves a sigh of relief).

grandolddukeofyork · 08/01/2018 14:25

I bought the blush Tshirt and it looks like nightwear so going back.
Also bought the red metallic stripe Tshirt but looks shit so going back too.
V annoyed now as to have to pay for the return grrrr

grandolddukeofyork · 08/01/2018 14:27

Not liked any of their stuff this season, holding out for better spring stuff

ilovecherries · 08/01/2018 16:48

miffy, I'd like the pia as well, but determinedly not paying postage for that alone. It's out of stock at John Lewis, unfortunately. I'm sending the blanket scarf back - it looks very worn, and stinks of Dior Poison :(. The Adelaide blouse I'm dithering about - I'm sure it's a good bit shorter than the one I tried on in JL, and it's certainly much deeper cut - I couldn't wear it without doing the ties up, which wasn't really how I wanted to style it. Bit of a shame as have been lusting it for weeks. On the plus side the refund for both pairs of leather leggings came through in the last few minutes, so I'm feeling flush again :)

miffy2 · 08/01/2018 17:58

cherries it's funny isn't it, how a refund feels like money that has been gifted (as opposed to the money you originally spent!!)

Sigh. I just bought an AllSaints Bales jacket that came back into stock in John Lewis, so I am kind of hoping I hate it...

Me too, not paying postage for Pia alone, I might see if it gets further discounted. I am a scarf addict, wear them all year round, and it looks a fab colour for all seasons.

Funnily enough I bought one of the blanket shawl/scarves a couple of years back and it looked so cheap like something from Primark. Already bobbled etc, so it went straight back! Loving the Fiona scarf though, really cosy.

hendricksyousay · 08/01/2018 18:05

Thank you @Talisin . I'm a 10 ish but quite short .

ilovecherries · 08/01/2018 18:23

Well, showed my daughter the Adelaide on Skype, and it was an absolute no from her. Apparently it's the kind of style I might have worn when I was fat, so she says I only like it because it feels like a security blanket! On the other hand, she says I should buy the Felix in every colour.

Laska5772 · 08/01/2018 18:48

cherries my Dh said the same about the Jada I ordered .. (said it looks a bit like I am hiding myself in it..) Hmm.... he is not usually that critical about the clothes I buy .. it is making me reconsider ...

neveradullmoment99 · 08/01/2018 20:49

Laska, I think that Is why I returned it. I know I bought it larger but I just felt is was a bit shapeless. Maybe the smaller one would have changed my mind but I also used to wear these kind of tunics a few years back [had a few from Toast] and looking at me in it just reminded me of me a few years back and I got sick of seeing myself wearing things like these. A bit like wearing the same dress over and over again!
Well I am sending the boots back. They are gorgeous but have a pointed toe and I am not a pointy toe shoe person so I have ordered the boots I really want - Daniel nibble black boots that I have been lusting after for wks. Bit worried they would reduce but when I emailed them enquiring if they were going to reduce, they assured me that they would give me the difference if they do so in the next 5wks. Also got 10% off and did Quidco. Although it annoyed me that Quidco said it would be invalid if I used a voucher!!!! Anyway, it was tracked so we will see. The Fiona skirt was quite tight on in a 12 - The underskirt was the thing. It just looked all wrong on me so that's also going back. Still debating over the felix. Its hanging up and think I will keep it. The small came in and thought about ordering it and then thought about wearing something under it for washing longevity and thought I would keep it. It looks a bit baggy but not that bad. Just maybe a little out in the shoulders. Have worn the scarf - the pia loads already. It has been absolutely freezing, The green snakeskin blouses came. Its a bit big!!!! Annoyed as they had a 10 for long enough in stock. The jury is out on that one. Will try tomorrow again.

neveradullmoment99 · 08/01/2018 20:52

I would probably consider the jada in camel if they reduce it to about £70 or less. Think the colour will be crap on me but with a scarf it might be ok.

neveradullmoment99 · 08/01/2018 20:55

cherries I like the Adelaide top. I bought the feather printed one and I love it. Its a bit short but I will wear a long black hush vest under it. I do that with anything that is short and boxy. Its a beautiful material. I think it looks lovely on.

ilovecherries · 08/01/2018 21:01

I liked the Adelaide when I tried it on in JL, but I'm sure this one is a good three inches shorter (or maybe it was the JL one that was unusually long). Plus I've got a very big chest, and that was lifting it at the front. I tried tucking it into the marina skirt, but then it looked a bit not right either. I have had my eye on it for weeks because I love it to look at (and touch!) but it feels too expensive for me not to be delighted with it.

neveradullmoment99 · 08/01/2018 21:14

Yes, I know what you mean. I felt the same about the boots. At £140 they were still pricey and they had to be perfect.

Theonlyoneiknow · 08/01/2018 22:00

Very tempted to buy the hush boots you love @neveradullmoment99
