I bought a zip up fleece housecoat from M&S.

It's dowdy, frumpy and grey. It's not silver coloured as M&S claim.

I could cheerfully live in this for the rest of winter.....Hmm

I rhink I've just disqualified myself from recommending anything to anyone regarding style or fashion. Sad

DH calls it the sack and loathes it passionately

HAHAHAHAHAHA 🤣

As an update:

I'm in London for a show tonight.

After checking the weather forecast, I decided to wear a lighter coat than I would normally in Winter.

It's double figures down here.

It's a vintage M&S coat from the 80s, with leg o' mutton puff sleeves, a Mandarin collar and in a fetching shade of moss.

But I have also brought a cardi with me, just in case it gets too cold for just a coat when I go home tonight.

Either I'm terminally frumpy, or I've turned into a pensioner far too early. Xmas Blush

That coat is so trendy that the only problem you have is the high chance of a fashion blogger ripping it off your back but if that happens she will throw down whatever she is wearing.

Kitsharrington · 21/12/2017 18:37

Needs more pockets! Otherwise where do you keep all your important things/crap you collect around the house/werthers originals??!!

Kitsharrington · 21/12/2017 18:38

Oh hang on, I’ve RTFT and it has pockets!!

Gingernaut · 21/12/2017 19:26

I was complimented on the coat by one of the Lancome ladies at Selfridges. Xmas Grin

Only the cardigan doesn't have pockets, but the coat going over it does.

But stylistas the world over are probably sniggering.

I've brought a cardi. Just in case. Xmas Shock Xmas Blush

I'm contemplating the striped one posted up thread Blush

PinkSquash · 22/12/2017 10:45

I'm early 30s and nearly a divorcee and I'm sorely tempted by one of these instead of a onesie. I have abandoned hope of being stylish all my coats are faux fur

Gingernaut · 22/12/2017 11:01

Just to make it clear, I did NOT wear a grey, fleece, zip up housecoat/dressing gown out to a theatre trip to London.

I wore a vintage (80s) coat. And I wore the cardi home from the train station. So it did come in handy. Xmas Blush
