I have tried on every skirt in the known universe and this was the nicest.

I have bought it.

As you were.

oh Honourable Mention to NQC who also said I should buy it

OP posts:
NadineBaggott · 06/04/2007 16:34

Can we all go home now?

AitchTwoOh · 06/04/2007 16:35

good. i also said it was nice as long as the printed cotton was good quality.

you know that it was about the third skirt mentioned, don't you?

Earlybird · 06/04/2007 16:35

Who knew buying a skirt would be such an all consuming mission?? I understand there are people in the world who actually enjoy shopping - I think they must have a special gene for it!

Anyway - skirt looks ace, and I hope you have fun (and feel good) wearing it.

Cappuccino · 06/04/2007 16:37

Oh good

I will come out of hiding

this has all been miserably over my head

foxinsocks · 06/04/2007 16:37

aaah

what was it for again?

FrannyandZooey · 06/04/2007 16:39

yes you can all go home early and have time off for good behaviour

and Aitch YES I DO and do you think she will EVER EVER let me forget it?

OP posts:
LittleEasterLapin · 06/04/2007 16:39

Oh, I nearly bought that today! It is scrummy.

AitchTwoOh · 06/04/2007 16:41

i suspect not. is she going to be at the party? just do a wonderwoman twirl in front of her and all will be forgiven.

FrannyandZooey · 06/04/2007 16:41

Fox we are having a party tomorrow

now Aitch I need those mythical orange shoes for this, I think, but black will have to do

or teal can I wear teal? No?

The sash tie is navy unfortunately so will have to come off. I looked at replacing it with another scarf but that would have cost about another £20 so it will have to be plain

and I didn't have time or money to buy any beads maybe I can use something I already have?

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 06/04/2007 16:42

Aitch no she was invited but said it was too far to come for the afternoon, can you imagine that?

Plus her baby is sick and we don't want her stinky germs

OP posts:
foxinsocks · 06/04/2007 16:42

nice weather for a party

AitchTwoOh · 06/04/2007 16:43

what's the problem with navy? it's really just black, but more flattering.

NadineBaggott · 06/04/2007 16:43

you're having a party?
at yours?

bolt your soap down

FrannyandZooey · 06/04/2007 16:43

LL buy it and we can nod knowingly at one another when we pass in the street

there were a few good ones in Monsoon, a mustardy one and a pleaty multi coloured one, but this was sooo the nicest, and it is a better length and shape than it looks on the website

Oh and HC I just squeezed into a 10

where DID those pies go?

OP posts:
AitchTwoOh · 06/04/2007 16:43

what's the top like?

FrannyandZooey · 06/04/2007 16:44

Navy looks frumpy on me and more importantly, it doesn't go with a black top

Soap duly hidden

OP posts:
foxinsocks · 06/04/2007 16:44

I'm sure teal would look fine with that then you can leave the sash on

FrannyandZooey · 06/04/2007 16:45

erm it is a black t-shirt

I did try on a cute little buttoned cap sleeved shirt but I looked like I was going to a job interview

I have a turbulent relationship with tops

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 06/04/2007 16:45

Teal shoes? Black top? Navy sash?

Nah....

OP posts:
foxinsocks · 06/04/2007 16:46

nah..got the black top bit after I posted that (I'm not that unstylish )

LittleEasterLapin · 06/04/2007 16:46

Franny, I just got this and am trying to be good... but my resolve is failing .

Have a fab party, hope the weather is still glorious!

FrannyandZooey · 06/04/2007 16:48

It's indoors!

LL that is lovely, what pattern did you get?

Fox well really I should not be wearing a black top with it should I? But I don't expect anyone will notice...

OP posts:
AitchTwoOh · 06/04/2007 16:51

whoops, just put this on the wrong thread...

"how can navy look frumpy? it's just a colour... anyway, it's dark blue. shame about the belt, i like it and i think it ties together the colours well. so, no pink shoes in the house? or red, even, with red bangles and beads?
i also think teal should be fine as long as it's not clashy with the skyish blue on the skirt. i know there's no red in the skirt but i'd be tempted to try red if you have some bits and bobs lying around.
what's the top?"

foxinsocks · 06/04/2007 16:52

oh no, no-one will notice (I certainly wouldn't). Esp after a few drinks.
