What jewellery are you wearing at the moment?

I'm not wearing any apart from occasionally earrings on a night out as I have no idea what is in. I find jewellery dates very quickly so don't usually spend a lot. What should I get/what do you wear? Nothing too fashionable eg chokers as I would look daft (wrong side of 50) but something up to date.

A chunky Tiffany bracelet and a Pandora bracelet on the same wrist. Engagement and wedding rings. That is all. I wear the same jewellery every day.

Sodaface · 24/08/2017 09:37

I used to have lots of dress Jewelry but am in my early 30s now & find qualitys better. Over the last few years I've gathered a few good pieces. Decent guess watch, sterling silver bracelet, nomination braclet (present from dcs) & a silver bracelet that I bough on holidays which has great memories every time I see it, all of which are very fine. Stud earrings with a tiny diamond & my wedding set.

I never wear a necklace unless out for dinner.

KingJoffreysRestingCuntface · 24/08/2017 09:37

Red Kabbalah string on right wrist and barbel in right daith (for migraines).

I think jewellery looks kind of messy.

StatueInTheSky · 24/08/2017 09:40

I never take off
engagement ring, thumb ring, wishbone ring
two bracelets on left, four bangles on right
there's no chance of me sneaking up on anyone, I jangle when I move!

earrings...I have some small studs that have been in for ages, rook piercing

I don't wear dangly earrings to bed, but that's all I'd remove if I am wearing them!

flickertee · 24/08/2017 09:58

Engagement and wedding rings, index finger ring. Four bracelets, studs, necklace. Everything stays on!
TBF three of the bracelets are the cartier screw on love bracelets so they're kind of a permanent fixture!

MumBod · 24/08/2017 10:02

A Charlotte's Web flower ring in silver, gold and moonstone on my right ring finger.
A diamond and white gold openwork eternity ring on my left ring finger.
A seaglass and silver pendant.
Two stretchy silver bracelets on my right wrist, one with a star pendant.
A silver thumb ring on my right thumb.
Alex Monroe daisy earrings in silver and gold.

LoyaltyAndLobster · 24/08/2017 10:02

A gold chain with a gold angel with diamonds pendent.

MumBod · 24/08/2017 10:02

Oh, and a diamond nose stud! Forgot about that!

Bluntness100 · 24/08/2017 10:05

Engagement ring and wedding ring on one hand. Grandmothers engagement ring on the other. Silver bracelet on one arm, watch on the other. Pearl stud earrings.

I don't like fussy or statement jewellery or anything big/gaudy.

Whataboutmee · 24/08/2017 10:12

Lots of rings and bracelets then - I wear none! Well not since divorce.

Next question, where do you shop for nice jewellery?

I only wear this necklace Dh got me & my wedding & engagement ring, and diamond studs.

What jewellery are you wearing at the moment?
Parker231 · 24/08/2017 10:18

None - rarely wear any and didn't want engagement or wedding rings

echt · 24/08/2017 10:21

My engagement ring is a man's Tag Heuer. I wear my wedding ring, my mum's signet ring and an opal dress ring my late DH bargained for in India.

AvoidingCallenetics · 24/08/2017 10:25

I wear wedding/engagement/eternity ring and silver bangle on left. A ring on right hand and earrings - different ones each day depending on mood/outfit.
Sometimes wear silver necklace or ankle bracelet, but not always.
Am in 2 minds about ankle jewellery. Otoh I think my little silver chain looks pretty but I remember being told that they were what prostitutes wore to let men know, without saying outright. That has stuck in my head.

MumBod · 24/08/2017 10:28

I'm quite enamoured of my toe ring this summer. It makes me feel a bit sexy.

Blush
ElspethFlashman · 24/08/2017 10:38

Only wedding/engagement/eternity ring currently. I'm a nurse and one of the most annoying things is I can't wear much jewellery at all at work. You can get away with delicate necklace and earrings studs at a pinch so I'm busy trying to find something I can wear 24/7.

It'll be something small and dainty from one of these:

Just have to narrow it down!

BoredOnMatLeave · 24/08/2017 10:42

All I wear is diamond stud earrings, and a simple silver watch normally. If I'm going out I add plain stud diamond necklace and Tiffany charm bracelet that snags everything I own!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 24/08/2017 10:44

Other than engagement/wedding rings and watch, all the jewellery I wear currently is very delicate.
Earrings - either studs (pearl/cz/gold ball) or gold and clear stone tiny hoops
Necklace - either fine gold initial chain (Accessorize) or a rose gold fine Swarovski necklace or a fine gold lariat
Sometimes I'll bother with a right hand ring or a bracelet but hardly ever. But never go out without earrings.

When I go out I'll wear bigger earrings as they are on trend at the moment (5cm gold hoops or pale pink beaded tassels).

AuntieStella · 24/08/2017 10:47

"wrong side of 50"

So under 50??

But whatever age, have a glance through this about age and fashion choices (not just jewellery)

warningcurvesahead.com/2016/06/04/24-things-women-over-30-should-wear/

I wear lots of bracelets - I have a couple of real gold ones, but they're mainky cheap and cheerful ones I pick up when I see ones I like, and I wear a lot together.

I've started changing my earrings more often recently too (I used to live in plain gold studs). I have no issues with allergies, so buy a lot from Claire's just in a whim, and have a couple of pairs of fake diamond studs of a size that might just be real for when I want to look expensive.

I got my first ever ankle bracelet this year too - leather and beads, but i's only wear that on or near a beach.

Lillygreen · 24/08/2017 10:48

I'd suggest simple pieces if you are worried about it dating.
I make jewellery, so I tend to wear my own. It's all silver and fairly minimalistic so it goes with most outfits everyday.
Wearing a silver twisted ring with a thin silver filigree bracelet now and some silver/blue stone earrings.

Oogle · 24/08/2017 11:07

Everyday:

White gold square earrings
Engagement ring & wedding ring
Eternity ring (other hand)
Rado watch

That's it. If we're going out then I wear a diamond necklace and change my every day earrings for diamond ones. I have a funky bracelet for my fitbit too.

TrollTheRespawnJeremy · 24/08/2017 11:10

I won't wear 'branded' jewellery. Not for me.

Everyday I have a heavy mexican silver bangle that I wear.
An amethyst ring on my left and a diamond ring on my right that is 'unusual'.

I tend to wear stud earrings, usually quite plain but flattering.

I change necklaces depending on what I am feeling like. Turquoise and amber beads are two of my favourite go- tos.

Liiinoo · 24/08/2017 11:55

Diamond daisy ring and anminexpensive gold openwork Greek ring that used to belong to my dad on right hand middle finger.
Three stone diamond ring and small channel set diamond ring on left hand middle finger.
Diamond solitaire earrings,

BEAUTIFUL new rose gold and diamond friendship style tennis bracelet.

WanderingTrolley1 · 24/08/2017 11:59

Thomas Sabo silver earrings
2 silver spinning rings from independent jeweller
Silver bangle from independent jeweller

guest2013 · 24/08/2017 12:05

I wear a ring with my dad's ashes in. A ring belonging to my grandmother. My wedding and engagement rings. A billion chlobos and small silver cross studs.
