Best leather jacket, please?

Biker style, I think, black, soft leather.

Not too long, not too short..

I am a size twelve, big boobs, not thin, and in my forties, but don't want anything frumpy.

I asked the seller why she sold it because it arrived this afternoon and it looks perfect. She said she only wore it once but she lost weight and it's too big for her. Her address is a place where the rich people live her so I guess that's why the price was very nice! :)

Well, but unimpressed with reiss: not only do they charge delivery no matter how much you spend, but I paid extra for "next day delivery" to arrive tomorrow.

Then DHL tell me it will be here on Monday.... 😡

I have an actual outing this weekend so may cancel them, have ordered a fake and a real leather topshop one to arrive tomorrow. Am officially obsessed now 😀

It's really nice, but gigantic! Even allowing for "boyfriend fit" it was just far too big. I've ordered a ten and am hopeful...it's nice thick quality leather and could do over a jumper as well as just a dress.

I still think the all saints bales is nicer . That topshop one looks really unflattering on the model !

Mmm, will decide, but it just felt less try hard than the other shorter, more fitted ones. On me, I mean, I feel a bit old woman trying too hard in some of them.

The Bales is no good because of the funnel neck idea. It would get ruined by makeup, and if I don't put it up the hardware is on the wrong side.

I may give up and just buy a fleece 😀

Hmm. I think I'd be interested in a biker style jacket but £300+!! All the cheaper ones are pleather/polyurethane... I dunno if I can justify spending over £300 on a jacket. Is polyurethane really so terrible?

The topshop washed fake leather one was nice, just didn't suit me, but looked good.

I think it might depend a bit on age. I look too old for it. DD has a fake leather topshop one and looks fab...

My issue with polyurethane is that it might make me sweat. Does it? I imagine I'd essentially be covered in plastic. But I guess when it's Winter it's fine.

There's a genuine washed leather in Topshop which is tempting me...but I'm thinking for a leather jacket, I should be the one to give it its stripe you know?

The good news is that the reiss ones have come, and are really lovely. Even better news is that my favourite and best fit is the one that's reduced to £155: still expensive but it's really nice quality. I'm happy at last.

I have two from Monsoon, one black one brown and they are the nicest leather jackets I've ever seen. They often pop up on ebay pretty cheaply and mine have lasted for years.

I found a nice looking one on the Joe Browns website for about £170. I'm not desperate to buy it right now, more a "that'd be nice to have at some point".
