Best leather jacket, please?

Biker style, I think, black, soft leather.

Not too long, not too short..

I am a size twelve, big boobs, not thin, and in my forties, but don't want anything frumpy.

This was the one I bought, I adore it. It's out of stock now but I'm sure the other Barney's ones were good too.

I've never got on with all saints biker jackets - the leather is too thick and heavy for me, although I can see that they are very good quality.

My favourite high st brands for biker jackets are mint velvet and warehouse, warehouse esp in the sales are pretty cheap as leather jackets go. It's all in the sizing one brand will fit you better than another and it's a matter of trying a few on to see.

Agree re All Saints. They are so heavy and all seem to have an abundance of hardware and dangly straps etc. I like my bikers neater.

I have a lovely mint velvet biker jacket it's a deep blue sounds horrible but lovely soft leather and a bit different

Muuba has nice ones too. And they go for less on eBay - there's an outlet store there.

My gripe with leather jackets is that they're usually too short for my very long arms. BLK DNM is perfect length for me.

Look on eBay ! I got a gorgeous Whistles one for £80 instead of 300plus , lovely soft leather and really long arms ! I'm 5. 10 and the arms and body length are perfect ! In fact I would have paid full price I love it so much !

I would marry my All Saints Belvedere

Mine is ancient, not sure if they even make this style any more, I will genuinely cry when one day it gives up the ghost if they don't!

I had it completely relined at my local dry cleaners last year, it's as good as new after being worn to death. And actually nice and worn in.

PS I agree on most of the All Saints jackets and their abundance of hardware. I can't stand all the extraneous studs and zips. My Belvedere is a classic motorcycle jacket with just the single zip and nothing else, it's why I do love it so

My whistles leather jacket is 5 years old and still looks good. But I lost weight and have since brought a all saints

I have a couple of old ted baker ones which I love but I don't like their recent styles

Mine is from Oasis and must be at least 5 or 6 years old and has worn really well. The leather is really soft and the arms might be a little longer than is normal because they fit me perfectly and I have the arms of a chimp.

This is why I love my Bales. No dangly waist straps, no excess hardware.

I have tried an All Saints one on, thought it was lovely but too noisy.

How are Topshop leather jackets?

The topshop one I ordered was a Tall, nice enough, but ill fitting on me. Too long in body and too baggy round waist but big neat round bottom band, I think because the proportions were wrong for me.

Though I am 5 8 with a long body.

Can anybody recommend a leather jacket that is longer in length? I'm a size 10 hourglass and find leather jackets always end at the waist at my fattest part! I have a beautiful leather jacket but just don't feel comfortable wearing it for this reason, especially not with jeans. I can never work out whether I should be wearing a long top with it to flatter my tummy but think it looks strange to have your top hanging below your jacket! Gah, am not sure I'm making any sense!
