I've sweated in black skinny jeans 😣😣 and a navy vest top.

I NEED summer clothes!

hugoagogo · 17/06/2017 19:14

You probably would have sweated anyway, it was hot!

I wore jeans and a cotton shirt, chinos or linen trousers might have been a better choice, but really I don't think I would have been cool walking around naked.

onalongsabbatical · 17/06/2017 19:17

Loose palazzo style trousers (not very long ones, they're probably crops on other people!) and a loose top with crochet round the neck that let the air in and the sweat out! Plus a light jacket when I felt like covering my arms up. But all loose, all light fabrics, nothing skin-tight. no pix available, sorry!

AvoidingCallenetics · 17/06/2017 19:18

Linen dress from next

PlaymobilPirate · 17/06/2017 19:20

I've seen people in palazzo pants and quite like them but I'm unsure where to buy them? I HATE trying stuff on in shops too!

Would the next linen dress fit massive boobs?

I'm a 14 and was in a cotton wrap around grey dress from laura ashley and then cotton chino knee length shorts and a thin and very loose cotton shirt. The shorts were better for thigh rub!

nancy75 · 17/06/2017 19:21

Boden casual jersey dress, I've got about 10 in different colours, not very exciting but very easy to get ready in the summer!

dudsville · 17/06/2017 19:21

Oh the latter were from gap a few years back. The shirt is practically gauze!

MsJuniper · 17/06/2017 19:22

Blue and white striped jersey dress from Sainsbos. It has short sleeves and a round neck.

WindwardCircle · 17/06/2017 19:24

Black jersey wide leg trousers (from a charity shop a couple of years ago, no idea re current stockists) and a loose vest top advertising Luke's Diner of Stars Hollow.

Allthebestnamesareused · 17/06/2017 19:24

Summer dress from Mantaray in Debenhams

Jenijena · 17/06/2017 19:24

I have worn m&s lightweight jersey tapered trousers. Feel like pyjamas and about as stylish too with a white elbow length thin top. Very floaty sleeves.

PlaymobilPirate · 17/06/2017 19:25

Like these nancy? I'd never think to buy something straightish - I'd think I'd be too lumpy?? m.boden.co.uk/en-gb/womens-dresses/day-dresses/wh980/womens-casual-jersey-dress

I wore a thin strapped jersey dress from H&M. Big mistake as it needs a strapless bra which for some reason made me sweat. I think it's the silicone stuff that holds it up.

llangennith · 17/06/2017 19:32

Loose below the knee white shorts and a loose mint green vest tshirt from Asda £4. I'm a size 20 and felt very cool (as in not sweaty) todaySmile

TheWoollybacksWife · 17/06/2017 19:32

Cropped cotton skinny jeans that I bought a million years ago in Asda and an two/three year old Joules linen tunic.

I had a bit of a shopping spree this week and bought a couple of sleeveless cotton blouses and a cotton dress in Debenhams.

In the past I have bought (and still wear) linen trousers (from Next I think) in white, black and navy. A couple of linen tops from Monsoon, cotton skirts (Joules and Monsoon) and cotton dresses from Joules. I've got a maxi dress from M&S but I'm a bit shy of wearing it as I feel it makes me look like a Weeble or a Dalek Grin

PlaymobilPirate · 17/06/2017 19:33

Shorts terrify me (but I do need to brave some I think) as I have a condition that makes my leg swell

Black linen mix trousers from Primark (very comfy soft waistband, too long but I'll turn them up when I can be bothered) and a loose white "burnout" fabric t-shirt. I'm now in shorts and vest top pjs and STILL hot.

I prefer to cover up in loose ,light fabrics rather than wearing shorts, the breeze they create makes me cooler. Primark and George at Asda have got some good examples in at the moment. I hate the patterned trousers because I would feel as if I was wearing pyjamas, but I've seen plain black ones in quite a few places.

nancy75 · 17/06/2017 19:43

Yep, that's the dress, it's not straight it's like a bit A line

TitaniasCloset · 17/06/2017 19:44

I was wearing jegging and a top and was dying in the heat so I popped into sainsburys and bought two maxi dresses.

one white and navy striped, round neck, thin jersey, thick straps no sleeves £18. And another black jersey v neck dress, again sleeveless. £16.

I put the navy one on in the Loos and got some big earrings £6 and a new nude lipgloss £6 and am wearing it with cheap blue flip-flops. I feel really cool and collected now!

I'm a 16 bottom 18 top, 5'2".

TitaniasCloset · 17/06/2017 19:48

Ms Juniper are you wearing the maxi striped dress or the knee length? If its the maxi then we are twinnies!!! Lovely and cool isn't it? And quite flattering even on my fat belly.

TheWoollybacksWife · 17/06/2017 19:48

Oh Titania you have inspired me. I'm going to see if my maxi is still in DD1's wardrobe and I'm going to embrace my inner Weeble goddess. Grin

TinselTwins · 17/06/2017 19:50

Knee length linnen dress from saltrock

I've never got on with maxi dresses and 2 piece summer stuff empasises my tummy.

I felt covered up but also summery, which is hard to achieve these days

Saucery · 17/06/2017 19:51

Cropped black linen trousers from M&S and a thin tunic thing from Fat Face.

ifigoup · 17/06/2017 19:54

A really old floral shirt dress (short sleeves) from H&M with cycling shorts and a vest underneath. I was hot but my thighs didn't rub together.

PlaymobilPirate · 17/06/2017 19:56

I'm off for a rummage on Sainsbury's website!
