We have dusted down our Gigis and boyfriend shirts. We are desperately trying to avoid melting in MMFs. We are planning capsule holiday wardrobes. We are getting ready for summer gorgeousness......come and join us for as we wait for the temperatures to soar.....

Those shoes are bonkers! Shop, just saw the Aquazzura belgravia shoes at 40% off. Best price i have ever seen them..!

BerniceBobsHerHair · 09/07/2017 09:14

Don't think I've done a round up before.

Was lovely to come to a MU again after such a long gap.
Dry made a great entrance and looked fab in her Whistles dress.

Agree that Shop and Marsha looked very glamorous in short dresses and sky high heels. Love the longer hair on you Shop (will pm my no, I think I was befuddled when I gave it to you)
QueenC looked very glam in her navy uniqlo dress. Good call on keeping the bag!
Blingy went against the grain in shorts and vest (puting me in mind of 90s All Saints style) and looked very trendy. Wish I'd had a closer look at the bling, your sapphire (?) ring looked amazing.
Lovely to meet and chat to Justa, who looked glowing and was carrying a lovely disco, FedUp whose dress I admired and Oct / Nov will be busy months for us both Wink and Kitty who looked great in giraffe print Whistles dress with red bag. Nice to get to know you all a bit better.
And last but not least Lib - thanks for organising and hopefully this isn't goodbye. Your plans for the future sound really exciting, I might hitch a ride in your suitcase Grin

DryWhiteagainW · 09/07/2017 09:28

Morning all. Do we owe anyone money from yesterday? Confused QueenC for the rosé in the café?

Morning,

Was so lovely to catch up with you again, everyone looked gorgeous as per usual. I'll do a brief round up

Lib looked great in her Zara striped dress, I think a few of us are tempted by it as you wore it so well

Dry looked great in her floral print dress, such a good look on you

Shop looked leggy in her fab monochrome JC dress

Marsha also looking leggy too in pastels

Justa looked pretty in pink, such a great colour on you

Fedup looking fresh faced with fab nails, that were not too bright at all. I had nail envy

Bernice with the gorgeous hair, was lovely to meet you sorry I kept calling you Bernice Blush

Blingy the teenager Grin with great boobs Envy am now on the hunt for khaki shorts

Queen looking lovely as usual with perfect hair and navy dress, great bag, glad you kept it

The bags - what can I say? Loved the blue/teal/pale blue bags

Thanks Lib for organising and we must MU when you are back in the UK xx

FedupNagging · 09/07/2017 10:44

Brilliant MU yesterday, was so lovely to catch up with everyone. No MU is complete without the post MU round up so here goes:

Bernice was great to finally meet you - and only caught sight of your bag as you were leaving - love it. Look forward to hearing all your news later in the year Grin
Kitty, my prosecco buddy, how fab was your bag? You definitely chose the right colour.
Justa, I didn't get the chance to say how lovely you looked in those pastel colours. Saw the divine disco but missed the shoes! Hope you're feeling better today.
Blingy, although I've met you a few times, I hadn't noticed until yesterday how much you laugh & giggle! I love your emerald ring.
Marsha & Shop, I'm so envious of your beautiful long legs, both looking amazing in short dresses and high heels. Um, did I really rest my head on your boobs Shop? Blush
Dry looked gorgeous in the Whistles dress and despite drinking all day & it being really hot, still looked cool as a cucumber in the cab to the station!

Queen looked fab in navy & silver; so pleased you kept the bag. can't believe you missed your train

And finally, Lib, looking so summery in the red stripe dress and white loafers - you definitely wore it the best! Thank you for organising yesterday; will miss you sniff

MarshaBrady · 09/07/2017 13:23

Loved seeing you all, was really wonderful Thanks

Fedup rocked the cool stripes and looked ace

Bernice - was so lovely to see you, you looked beautiful and loved your print dress

Kitty loved your monochrome look, really suited you and ace bag

Justa how gorgeous you are in pastel and summery colours, your skin glows. Youth and health, you looked very pretty

Blingy loved your super cool outfit and the shoes are beautiful. I pondered on the way home that even with my feet aversion you have pretty feet Grin

Shop I loved your dress, really striking, you looked excellent in it

Dry totally killed it with the hair of wonder and the figure of tiny-ness, also just loved the Whistles dress, perfect for you

Queen loved the navy dress, very chic and looked wonderful

Lib the most awesome in red stripes, need to see you again before you go, you will be so missed. And imagine when you come back for a visit how exciting our MUs will be

Looking forward to the next one, with everyone who couldn't make it.
Big love!

Everyonelovessparkles · 09/07/2017 14:10

Glad you all had a fab time yesterday. Loving the round ups and all the outfits sound amazing.

Longislandicetee · 09/07/2017 14:54

Oh.My.God. I feel like i have just had the compliment of the decade!Grin Flowers

libertydoddle · 09/07/2017 16:04

You just have had a huge compliment Blingy!!

I think everything has been said on the outfits. Everyone looked fabulous. I was very sad going home thinking that it might have been my last big MU for quite a while and very likely last time to see the out of London people for a couple of years at least Sad

It has been one of the best parts of my life for the last 3/4 years having this amazing, funny, kind, supportive group in my life. I know I'll make new friends in NZ but I think the kind of group we have is very special and not something that happens often. I will definitely stay on the thread and stay in touch generally but I will miss our MU's and the knowledge that I can come on here and get rapid opinions, support or a kick up the ass as needed.

But not gone yet....so pulling myself together and reminding myself to focus on being grateful for what we have and enjoy my last summer in London. Love to all of you.

MarshaBrady · 09/07/2017 17:17

Haha was that my one? #blessed Grin

Lib you had better keep posting on here as much if not more or else I will hunt you down and make you

MUs won't be the same, but we'll keep you as close as possible so you never feel far away

DryWhiteagainW · 09/07/2017 17:19

"Hair of wonder" Marsha Grin love it, thank you--

Liberty you're lovely Star

Don't you just love the pre holiday trip to Boots? I've got 3 weeks to go but couldn't help myself buying lots of unnecessary stuff and then you go to Promarni for crap and come out with an 8ft inflatable flamingo that will have to go in myhand luggage Grin

OP posts:
DryWhiteagainW · 09/07/2017 17:20

Uninflated of course

OP posts:
justasecond · 09/07/2017 17:27

We will miss you too lib but rest assured you won't get rid of us all that easily Smile

Blingy my shoes are Stuart Weitzmann from Russell and Bromley bought in the sale last year. these
Actually quite comfortable too given I walked to the tube and back an extra time and ran for my train in them.

btw this this the bag I have my eye on that I was going on about at the mu www.net-a-porter.com/gb/en/product/904756/Gucci/gg-marmont-camera-small-quilted-leather-shoulder-bag I am hoping I can pick it up duty free when I go on holiday

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 09/07/2017 17:31

MU sounds fab as always, gutted i couldn't make it but i'm sure you all understand that DS comes first

still not got my shopping mojo back at all. Still want to save for a abg but i just don't currently know what kind of bag i want at all. I think i'm just going to keep saving and hope something jumps out and grabs me at some point!

lib you'll always be part of this thread and you know we will all miss you loads. Hopefully i'll see you before you leave!

queencerulean · 09/07/2017 20:51

Is anyone else struggling right now? Desperately trying to stay awake for a bit longer as dh is away and I don't want to wake up in the middle of the night.

Just browsing new in on high st....
for dry

queencerulean · 09/07/2017 21:33

lush dress

libertydoddle · 09/07/2017 21:54

Me too QueenC. V tired but trying to stay up to 10.30pm. that Mint Velvet dress would be great for you.

libertydoddle · 09/07/2017 22:00

8ft pink flamingo - I feel fairly confident saying that you are the only person I know dry who would consider that a holiday essential Grin

One hope you had a lovely weekend with DS. I'll be in touch this week with some possible dates for a mini MU.

Great Gucci bag justa. And I love those shoes too.

kittyhello · 09/07/2017 22:30

That is such a great bag Justa I too was admiring your leopard shoes yesterday.

Dry glad you got the holiday essentials sorted Grin

Love the shoes you linked Queen great dress for you too. I've been feeling tired all day, I'm such a lightweight these days

AmberNectarine · 09/07/2017 23:01

Gutted I missed the MU - lib we must do a mini MU before you go. Seriously.

Argh, just stubbed my toe on the fucking ugly fireplace we're having ripped out. Resent it even more now!

DD's Moana themed party went well today. I went the whole hog in grass skirt and coconut bra. Also set up a self assembly tiki bar. Kids seemed to love it and good family turn out too (especially DH's side, which I hope lessened the pain of MIL not being there). DD had a wonderful time and I feel quite pleased with myself!

libertydoddle · 10/07/2017 08:39

I'm up for that Amber. Party sounds great, ouch at stubbed toe.

Everyonelovessparkles · 10/07/2017 16:04

Love that a 8ft flamingo is classed as essential dry Grin

DDs party sounded great amber, glad you all had a good time.

The pampelone dress came and it's going back. I'm pretty disappointed with it. It's short - mid thigh - when I was hoping it would be just above the knee. The embroidery is very pretty but the cotton is quite thin. The elasticated waist is also in the wrong place for me. Overall it looks like a cheap cover up rather than a £100 dress. It would be a very pretty cover up but it doesn't look great on me. They said a medium was a 10/12 but I think it was more 10 than 12.

DryWhiteagainW · 10/07/2017 18:19

Along with the pink flamingo I will be taking some long necklaces on holiday. Does anyone have a genius packing solution to avoid them all getting tangled up? you can see I have huge problems in my life Grin

OP posts:
libertydoddle · 10/07/2017 21:32

Something like this???

Everyonelovessparkles · 11/07/2017 08:21

Grey here but bit cooler today. Heading into the office - I've got to go in as many times in the next 3 weeks as the total number of times I've been in all year to date! Grin Got a meeting near ox st so might try and get to the shops before! OOTD is a black and white old Karen Millen skirt, black ravello top, nude ballet flats and black le Pilage.
