And if you want a matching coat......!

Found this horror in Dunnes today. It's even worse up close as the flowers are iridescent plastic with crystal centres.

And it was €60!!!!

My eyes! Get some garlic and holy water on that thing.Grin

Gingernaut · 23/05/2017 16:28

Honestly?

That's about the only thing in the shops that would match it! Shock

ErrolTheDragon · 23/05/2017 16:33

chester - those of us old enough to remember when most clothes sold in the UK were made here know that they had their share of nasty synthetic fibres and garish colours in the 60s and 70s.Confused

originalbiglymavis · 23/05/2017 16:43

The bloody thing is popping on my mumsnet screen ads now! Nope, even beautiful slinky models leaping around, laughing like loons make it any more attractive.

ElspethFlashman · 23/05/2017 16:43

Another model questioning her life.

100% polyester btw. Felt viiiiile.

At least she is getting paid - and if she's really lucky, to keep the outfit!

Chestervase1 · 23/05/2017 17:00

ErroltheDragon we also had beautifully made, well designed and high quality fashion that was the envy of the rest of the world and was copied worldwide. Marks and Spencer and St Michael brand was very high quality and affordable. We also had a garment industry in London.

BitOutOfPractice · 23/05/2017 18:11

I have just laughed my arse off at this. The model looks confused. As you would.

Earmuffs? Is it earmuffs?

BitOutOfPractice · 23/05/2017 18:26

I thought maybe she was keeping her packed lunch in there

originalbiglymavis · 23/05/2017 18:31

Actually I think it's where she keeps warm little orphaned baby hedgehogs, squirrels or bunnies. She's an animal rescue person.

RedastheRose · 23/05/2017 18:41

Saw it in the store the other day and thought what a horror it was. Even Margo Ledbetter a la The Good Life couldn't have pulled that one off although her dresses were what it reminded me of 😅

styledilemma · 23/05/2017 18:41

I think M&S should insist their staff wear the pink dress as part of their uniform.
Put their money with their mouths are, as it were.
I mean, if it's good enough for us, then it's good enough for them, right? Hmm
Or is that being plain evil? Grin

BitOutOfPractice · 23/05/2017 19:41

My M&S uniform from the 80s was made of very similar fabric. Just not pink.

Gingernaut · 23/05/2017 19:47

It does feel like an old Tesco uniform I used to have, back in the days of "Dottie".

White with red polka dots. That was royal pain in the arse to keep clean.

Bluntness100 · 23/05/2017 19:54

Well it would certainly increase their football. I for one would go in more often just to have a little look at the staff. 😂

Gingernaut · 23/05/2017 20:24

I was in M&S Walsall today.

It was so quiet, I could hear a single customer's footsteps walking all the way from the back of the shop to the front.

I cringed.

Okite · 23/05/2017 21:35

I just spotted this delight and thought you were the right people to share it with.
At least with the m&s monstrosity you are only £45 down, this costs £250!!
Wtf has happened this year? Designers have all lost their minds

To be fair that's not bad.... for library curtains.

Okite · 23/05/2017 21:47

It does have a certain bookcasey look to it, doesn't it?

Gingernaut · 23/05/2017 21:58

Holy fuck!

What the almighty fuck is going on?

Was there a mix-up with the containers at some Far Eastern port?

Did some upholstery fabric destined for rags get switched with the dress fabric that was meant to be sent?

The styling is one thing but the fabric is atrocious!

BitOutOfPractice · 23/05/2017 22:07

I quite like the fabric. Though perhaps I'd prefer there wasn't quite so much of it

CherylVole · 23/05/2017 22:11

does my bum likes fucking weird Abigails party dresses

originalbiglymavis · 23/05/2017 22:12

Word is that they are launching the frock of horrors in other colours and floral print!
