I'm thinking of getting yet another one. I just love the damn things. Anyone else?

Phyllis, I'd love a real leather one, but sadly can't afford the £300+ just now. I do love the smell of my real suede one, it's so versatile and I bought it for 15 quid second hand at a charity tent at Download festival in 2010. Bargain. Grin

ITMama1 · 30/04/2017 22:23

Not sure why a frowny face, put a grin. Stupid app hates my phone.

LoisWilkersonsLastNerve · 30/04/2017 22:30

I could probably stretch to £200 if I didn't buy any other clothes. Nice coat, no knickers! I did have real leather one years ago. It did look better.

Lois well lucky for me, I just had a £60 House of Fraser gift card in the post, present from some insurance I bought some months ago. So I can buy my knickers with that and blow my money on the biker jacket Grin
Seriously though, what do I buy with that gift card? I don't think I've ever bought anything at HoF before.

Ffswtf · 30/04/2017 22:39

Can I join in? I've got a cheapish biker jacket ages ago, Miss Selfridge I think. Love it. Whenever I'm having a frumpy day I put it on, which is most days Grin Would love to add to my collection, anybody got any links?

elephantoverthehill · 30/04/2017 22:41

Blush I got really into faux fur coats in the winter. I have 4 now.

IAmNoMan · 30/04/2017 22:41

La Redoute has some good ones.

LoisWilkersonsLastNerve · 30/04/2017 22:54

Love LaRedoute. I haven't set foot in a HoF for years sansa. Its so overpriced and ours is boiling hot for some reason. My DD calls it that summer placeGrin

Yes yes! You can never have too many biker jackets, I have loads in different styles. Agree I feel quite feminine in mine - love pairing them with a girly dress

Next I'd love to find a suede one in mink or coral for summer

bananafish81 · 30/04/2017 23:43

Love love love my All Saints biker

It's wonderfully simple, with no fussy zips or studs or fringing - just a beautifully cut jacket that doesn't date

I don't know if they still make the style I've got, but I'll be devastated if it gives up the ghost! Got it relined for £30 at my local dry cleaners and it's as good as new.

LoisWilkersonsLastNerve · 01/05/2017 00:21

Ah I should never have started this thread, I've went from spending £30 at Matalan to planning a bank holiday trip to All Saints to give my credit card the ride of it's life. Grin

Can anyone suggest a decent petite leather biker? My current one is from LabelLab at HoF and it's gorgeous but I bought it because it was a great reduction and only later realised it's too big on the shoulders and the sleeves are too long Confused.

SexlessinSeattle · 01/05/2017 08:22

The Schott ones from Leredoute are

ErrolTheDragon · 01/05/2017 08:26

I've asked about petite before - I've never seen anything other than non-particularly nice pleather in the high street petite departments. I've been trying to persuade DD she would look great in one since she was a young teen, and now she's 18 and will be off to uni soon, but she (quite reasonably) looks askance at those. She and I are both 5'1"

fiorentina · 01/05/2017 09:26

I have a grey one from Mint Velvet which I found so useful. It does with black or navy and I love if. I also love the All Saints and Whistles ones. Such beautiful leather!

Outcomesthebunnyofdeath · 01/05/2017 09:47

I only have a faux leather one, but I feel a bit too T Birds John Travolta-esque in it. So I really need a proper one. The ones I lust after are definitely real when I look up close.

Sadly I can't afford one. Hoping fate just sends me one in a charity shop bargain guise one day.

Floisme · 01/05/2017 09:47

I scratched my biker itch and then realised they weren't really for me after all - there's too much hardware and it kind of 'wears me'. But I've just found an RAF aircrew jacket in a weigh and pay sale (not the old sheepskin kind, some kind of weather proof gaberdine I think) and, provided I can get rid of the cigarette stink, it does exactly what I hoped a biker would do. Plus if I ever fall into the sea, it might keep me afloat as well.

elephantoverthehill · 01/05/2017 10:58

If I buy This It is all your faults Grin

elephantoverthehill · 01/05/2017 10:59

The blue one

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 01/05/2017 14:21

Must admit that my cheap Oasis ones are wearing better than my MV one, although the MV one feels/looks better leather.

bananafish81 · 01/05/2017 14:38

My all saints was an obscene initial outlay, a horrific amount to spend on one single item

However on a cost per wear basis it's one of the cheapest items in my wardrobe

angryladyboobs · 01/05/2017 15:45

If you want a proper biker jacket, get a bike.

Otherwise you just look like a pretentious twat.
