there's loads in the shops and I have bought a couple, but I can't help feeling like I am wearing maternity clothes again!

willywonka · 11/03/2007 21:48

octopussyintummy · 11/03/2007 21:49

rofl fmw - I was going to say batwings!

willywonka · 11/03/2007 21:49

Believe crimping came in and has passed back out of fashion, though this time round you were only supposed to crimp bits of it, not the whole lot. The youth of today just can't be bothered to put in the effort...

princesscc · 11/03/2007 21:49

I had one of those waffle knit jumper dresses, with mountains and skiers on it.

liath · 11/03/2007 21:50

Am getting horrible flashbacks now of overshirts and belts, lycra skirt, bright pink tights, fluorescent socks and pixie boots.

And crimped hair, oh yes !

filthymindedvixen · 11/03/2007 21:50

He obviously shops at the same special, secret reversible pants store as my dh and my ds's...

isaidno · 11/03/2007 21:51

blue eyeshadow on the lower lids, pink on top with a 17 lipstick called bonbon which was very pale and frosty --- nostalgic memories are flooding back!

OP posts:
liath · 11/03/2007 21:51

at the reversible pants !

octopussyintummy · 11/03/2007 21:52

pants can be worn four times - inside out and back to front aswell!

I got dh a reversible top from White Stuff at christmas - he thinks its great!

willywonka · 11/03/2007 21:52

Can you still buy plastic ear rings where even the bit that goes through your ear is plastic and makes it go all gammy in two seconds or is there a law against these things now?

octopussyintummy · 11/03/2007 21:53

I remeber going to an activity day at school and them showing us how to put on pink, blue and (yes and) yellow eye shadow! Blue eyeliner and blue mascara!

octopussyintummy · 11/03/2007 21:54

princesscc · 11/03/2007 21:55

My lipstick was Rimmel and it was called Heather Shimmer. Anybody who was anybody at our school wore heather shimmer

liath · 11/03/2007 21:56

Thank goodness I embraced Goth-ism at 17, there are only so many embarassing mistakes one can make when wearing black...

MrsBadger · 11/03/2007 21:56

Heather Shimmer

golly that takes me back

isaidno · 11/03/2007 21:56

I bought my first blue mascara in Woolworths at the same time as tiffany's I think we're alone now on 7"

OP posts:
willywonka · 11/03/2007 21:57

Some of the girls at our school insisted on pronouncing it "rim-melle" (instead of "rimmal"), as if it was some exotic French brand...

isaidno · 11/03/2007 21:57

And i had heather shimmer too!

OP posts:
filthymindedvixen · 11/03/2007 21:59

Liath...ah yes. I had the most beautiful shoes with the toes shaped like coffins and black satin ribbon up my ankles. I still dream about those shoes....
was a sort of hippy goth. Remeber those dreadful indian cotton skirts with fringing???? One in every colour, me. Including some
