Just got a new haircut... I think I hate it - please tell me it doesn't look too bad!?

I had long hair which I was beginning to hate I now really miss it and completely love it :( and decided to just go for it and get my hair cut short. I don't think it suits my face and I don't mean for this to sound rude, but do I look 'butch'? Or not mum-like at all? I think I regret it and all my family's opinions really doesn't help!

I obviously don't know what you look like with long hair or if it suited you better but looking at this photo - you definitely have the face shape to carry off short hair and it doesn't make you look butch at all (especially with your fab red lippy). It must be a big change so it will take you a day or two to get used to it. I think you look lovely!

I think it looks very cute. Edgy rather than butch. I know what you mean about missing your long hair - can be a real shock to the system and short hair can feel less feminine.

Without thinking is the best way to cut all your hair off, in my opinion! Honestly it does look really nice and suits you very well. It is shocking the first time you go very short but I think over the next few days you'll settle into it and start to see what we can see.

Oh thanks everyone that's really made me more confident about it. I really appreciate the comments. I thought "oh god" in the hairdressers and when I showed my mum she was horrified! I think maybe long hair suited me better but it really did take me far too long and I couldn't stand it anymore!

It looks great, it will take a while to get used to it but it looks ace. I just had mine cut from a bob to an assymetric short do. I was unsure at first but now i like it.
