Amazing, thanks Jo - I couldn't rest until I found out where it was from!

MuchasSmoochas · 09/03/2017 18:16

Well done Primadonna. I was so sure it was COS! Please stay around in S&B Jo the style on that show is fab, you've got a great eye. Dress us all please. But don't steal our babies. Go on tell us what happens next week!

JoSlater · 09/03/2017 18:18

Ha! Muchas..... I wouldn't dare! X

flatcoatfan · 09/03/2017 18:44

The coat is lovely. What about Paula's pink skirt? Where is that from? And yes, the clothes and make up are gorgeous.

poodlejones · 09/03/2017 19:07

Hi Isobela,
It is 152460089524

JoSlater · 09/03/2017 19:59

Paula's pink skirt is years old. I used it first on Pauline McLynn on Shameless. It was from LK Bennet. I honestly think there is no chance of anyone finding this on eBay!! 😉

MuchasSmoochas · 09/03/2017 20:37

So how does this work then, do you buy lots of stuff and keep it somewhere? I've never thought about this before, am envisioning a big lorry with racks of lovely loot. And do you have to plan every scene? Do you rotate the stuff on each show then to make it life like? This is fascinating, I am so glad you are our dear friend now.

carrie74 · 09/03/2017 20:46

Oh this IS exciting. I was very smug to note Ellen wearing one of my jumpers: cobalt blue open back from Whistles. Sadly the jumper itself hasn't fared well. Great styling, thanks for putting us out of our misery!

flatcoatfan · 09/03/2017 20:51

I've found one!! Thank you Jo. Let the bidding begin....

thelikelylass · 09/03/2017 20:51

how much fun is this! Joslater nice that you came on to enlighten us. And talking of 'Shameless' I had a a pink shell top from Next and loved it until Frank's ex-wife turned up wearing it on the show...consigned to the charity bag the next day!

Powergower · 10/03/2017 06:58

Joslater lovely to have you on here. I can't stop raving about the work wear on the show. Especially Ellen's. That is how I would love to look from hair to makeup and especially clothes. I absolutely love everything she wears. No boring black suits. I'm a lawyer can you give me advice about how to get my wardrobe looking trendy and professional at the same time. Which is your favourite high street store for this look?

BootCampSucker · 10/03/2017 07:24

Hi Jo, another loving your work. Could you tell me where Ellen's watches were from? I saw two big plastic ones - yellow and possibly a blue one? Thank you!

(I may have got a bit confused with character names now - I mean the one who had the baby)

itstheyearzero · 10/03/2017 08:52

I'd like to know where Ellen's pale blue blouse is from. It had kind of a foldover on the neckline...? Thanks

JoSlater · 10/03/2017 09:30

Hi. Itstheyearzero, if you are referring to the blouse she wore to the funeral it's a Kooples shirt.
BootCampSucker the watches are really old and from my stock. I have no idea where or when they were purchased but probably my Shameless years!
Powergoer, all Ellen's costume came from Asos, Whistles, Cos & House of Fraser. There are a couple of designer pieces in there but it's really mostly high street. Don't be afraid to dress plainly but make it interesting with accessories. Not too many thou! Also whatever you buy get it tailored to fit you properly. Change it up, shorten sleeves as well as hem lines and if you love something but it's too short for work add a contrasting panel on the bottom. Also shop with someone whose style you admire who is honest. Lastly get someone to take a photograph of you in an outfit before you buy and look at the photo rather than in the mirror. It makes things clearer... good luck.

Thelikelylass..... I'm sorry! 😂😂

Lululooselips · 10/03/2017 16:00

BootCampSucker try Ice Watch they do chunky bold coloured watches like the ones Ellen wore.

Isobela · 10/03/2017 19:48

Brilliant advice Jo, absolutely loving your work and super chuffed you came in here as now I'm a proud owner of said jacket :)

I bought this today in sainsburies. I'm a bit undecided though, as it's very much like a coat I already own.

I like them both, Sainsbury's one is lighter and a bit more casual. Does that help? Smile

Cherrypie32 · 11/03/2017 22:53

I've ordered the Sainsbury's one Trucking, off the back of this thread. Is it nice on?

AgentProvocateur · 11/03/2017 23:00

Trucking, is the Sainsbury's one blue and white or black and white?

Cherrypie32 · 12/03/2017 08:07

Says navy in the description online Agent.

AgentProvocateur · 12/03/2017 09:07
