I wouldn't approve, GGG. But do very much approve of both of your DHs, who are both dishy and 'nice'.

I have been out to a 'disco'. One playing indie tunes. I did some dancing, and some jumping about to Nirvana, which hurt my knees. Not surprising, as I was in my £5 silver Primark brogues. I knew lots of people there, as it was about five minutes from our house - one of the reasons I get scared of any talk of big moves to the NorthEast.

Right. Bed. People for lunch tomorrow, before which the garden has to be mowed, rooms tidied, then post lunch I (or indeed DP) have to take DS to choir. zzzz.

Blackduck · 12/03/2017 07:55

WAF how are things this morning?

Thank you for the MU - I haven't laughed like that for a while :)

Dad not great - finding it hard to carry on without mum.

bigTillyMint · 12/03/2017 09:15

Glad the MU was a tonic, BD, but sorry to hear your dad is struggling. It's not surprising at all - it must be so hard after all those years together. Is he able to access any bereavement support at all?

We had a good night out with friends last night, but back to grim reality this morning. Plus DH has had to rush into work - numerous missed calls throughout the night because there is a massive floodShock

WAF, sorry to hear about your Mum. Thinking of you.

Beachy, I'm going to hear a Faure Requiem later Smile DD & her BF are playing & her friend is singing. During the week she also had a chamber choir concert in London & competed in two different music festivals with her string quartet & orchestra Shock. Don't know when she's going to fit A-levels in.

Matthew Passion is all getting real & filling my brain. Please pm me if any of you are still interested in tickets. Performance will last 3 hours, central London, in approx. 3 weeks (purposefully vague).

One of you wise women had a recommendation for a French tutor, who was it? I've searched but can't locate the post. I am v. interested.

Sorry for difficulty in keeping up.

magimedi · 12/03/2017 14:23

Glad to hear it was a good MU.

Flowers to BD & WAF.

Woke up with a UTI but got down to the walk in centre & only had to wait an hour to be seen. On antibiotics now & waiting for them to kick in.

Must admit to feeling fed up - seem to have had one virus after the other for the last 5/6 months.

Rosebag · 12/03/2017 15:41

Snap MM. First one in about 6 years. I am self medicating... Blush and I have 12 for dinner tonight... full of self pity at the moment.

Thinking still very much of WAF''and BD and also BTM Flowers

MrsSchadenfreude · 12/03/2017 16:57

I had a UTI the other week - it was either wait ten days to see a doctor or get a phone diagnosis and pick up antibiotics from the local pharmacy, so I opted for that.

We went to Matthew Passion last year (or possibly the year before) at St Paul's. It was lovely, but so long! (I have difficulty in sitting still for any length of time.)

Making pizza for dinner.

Collymollypuff · 12/03/2017 17:33

Auriga, twas me. Here she is - she is such a fun person, Oxbridge, etc:

www.lucymartintuition.co.uk

Sorry to hear about the UTIs. Sad MM, it does sound like you're having a bad run of it. Thanks

Lalsy · 12/03/2017 17:36

Oh Magi, you have had a run of bad luck, hope the abs kick in quickly. Rose, sounds like you could do with some too.

BTM, sorry to hear things still so very tough. Flowers And for WAF and BD....

I am listening toe The Cazalets from Audible - it is great if anyone liked the books and has domestic chores to trudge through. It isn't nearly as soothing as it should be because of all the extraordinarily patronising men:

What's the matter, darling?
XYZ
Nonsense, it can't be that, you sweet idiot. Have my hanky and let's talk about something else me.

I may need to jump on my Brabantia.

Lalsy · 12/03/2017 17:37

Hello Auriga, your dd does sound very constructively busy!

Collymollypuff · 12/03/2017 19:20

Lalsy, re Cazalets: of course there's a truly vile and abusive man at the heart of it, modelled on the author's father. Angry

While we're on culcha - I'm a big Paula Rego fan too. Smile

Lalsy · 12/03/2017 19:29

Awful awful. Didn't know he was EJH father but it rings so true.

bigTillyMint · 12/03/2017 19:41

Hope you are getting some rest, WAF.
How is dad now, BD? Are you on your way home?

Auriga, your DD does indeed sound very industrious!

Well, we have survived the weekend. Hoping that appointment tomorrow will be positive for DS. It is such a vile illness.

Poor DH was at work for 7 hours today (plus the 3 yesterday) - Fire Brigade pumping out water at a cost of £1000 an hour - they had been there since 2am Shock

bigTillyMint · 12/03/2017 19:42

I have to renew my passport (though no idea where or even if we will get away this summer) - it seems to have all gone online. Eeeek!

Cremolafoam · 12/03/2017 19:58

Hoping for a good day for you and ds tomorrow BTM.
BD, glad you had a laugh and a Crepey boost. Sending you my best for your poor ddad as well;
likewise Rudy.
Waf, very much hope dmum improving.
Rose, hope dinner went well for you today. Can't be easy when you are feeling blue. I know how hard that can be.
Have a good week Crepeys.

Blackduck · 12/03/2017 20:26

I'm in Oxford at a concert - having caught up with a friend I haven't see in years. Dad not great.
B hope everything is okay this week.

IDismyname · 12/03/2017 20:31

I am soooooo glad we are at the end of another Sunday. Lordy, I hate this day with a passion.

DS busy at work, so DH and I rattling round the house with him in Sunday mode. ie picking fights, pressing all my buttons, finding fault with everything. Attacking being the best form of defence.

It has to stop. I'm so tired.

Going to take deep breath and go through some paperwork tomorrow with a view to going to see solicitor. DH away until Thursday.

It's been 21 years Sad

BeachysSnowyWellieBoots · 12/03/2017 21:06

Oh, Cloud, I'm sorry you've had a rotten day. It's Monday tomorrow and normal service can resume. You will feel less trapped soon, one way or another..... my weekend was a bit meh, just felt a bit quiet and wanting to hide away a bit....

I'm applying for jobs all tomorrow, I've decided.

Hope your dmum is ok tonight and peaceful at least, WAF and well done to BD for gee-ing up your Dh.

bigTillyMint · 12/03/2017 21:24

Oh Cloud, that sounds horrid. At least you have some space from him for a few days. Does he know how you feel?

Beachy, that sounds positive. Did you ever hear anything from that "interview"?

Cremo, how are you feeling?

BeachysSnowyWellieBoots · 12/03/2017 21:52

I heard back that there are waiting for the budget for the project, so if that's true, something may come of it.....

MrsSchadenfreude · 12/03/2017 21:56

Ugh Cloud, that sounds grim. A bit of space is good, though.

I am a bit Sunday-ish. I'd like to sit and read for a while, but there seems to be so much cleaning and tidying to do. I've just removed 101 plates, bowls and cups from DD2's bedroom. Day off tomorrow, to go to DD1's school and hear the grim news at the final parent-teacher meetings. Meeting friend for a drink in the evening and DH is coming too. Well, he doesn't get out much. Grin

Found CTM profoundly depressing tonight. Am contemplating Gin.

Olof. A weekend of overindulgence here. Bottle of fizz and Thai takeaway on Friday night, out last night, with yet more fizz, and then we had she friends for lunch. With fizz. Didn't eat or drink vast amounts, but my stomach blew right up and I felt vile. Had to go and commune with Brian! Been having stmach ache for a few days, so now convinced I have some kind of fatal blockage.

In the excitement of lunch becoming evening we omitted to take DS to choir. Felt v bad.

Sad to hear of marital discord cloud. Does DH know of your solicitor plans, or are you going to 'get ducks in a row' and find out your status before declaring your hand?

Collymollypuff · 12/03/2017 22:30

Sorry to hear that, Cloud. Thanks

Good luck tomorrow, BTM and Btmds - and all Crepeys going through the mill.

We are having a little hiatus of happiness here, with things looking a bit better for now...fingers crossed for it to last. Obvs we are by no means out of the tunnel, but little breaks in the clouds are good. I hope all my squad get some of them.
