Rose, that is a seriously nice jumper.

NU, much sympathy. dh is a govt employee but said govt has managed to undertax him. We may have just emerged from the bog of confusion but what a PITA.

MI, so sorry to hear of another ailing cat.

motherinferior · 20/02/2017 11:23

Given time constraints looks like we do have to take her. Poor DP was crying when he rang me. He doesn't cry very often but this cat has been with us since DD2 was a baby.

hattymattie · 20/02/2017 11:48

Morning Crepies - back to school today. The children seem to feel as sleepy as I do!

MI - so sorry that another crepey puss is on it's last legs. This really doesn't seem to be a good period for cats!

NU - sympathies over tax lady. It really is very annoying when you cannot get to speak to someone and you only have a couple of questions to ask.

Rose - nice jumper - I do enjoy seeing your purchases.

Our boiler is on its last legs and the heating has broken down. I foresee an enormous plumbing bill.

Re schools - I'm unsure of the wisdom of changing school to be with friends - at that age it seems to be a rather fluid thing. I'm sorry though you were unhappy Molly.

Right - I'm actually going back to work because it's so cold in the house - normally I have a long lunch on Mondays so I can sneek back home and sort stuff out.

Cremolafoam · 20/02/2017 12:51

MI so so sorry. My dh wept over Cremcat too. It's somewhat shocking i think. Hope vet trip is as kind as possible. Sad

Rose, delicious jumper - colour?
You are so good at getting us back on s&b. I have bern luxuriating in Jo Malone bath ( thanks to kind MI) and now feel a bit more alive. Hair falling out in handfuls though. Fortunately it is thick and i can just about afford it.hypoT to blame i suppose.Confused
Job apps to do too BD. Almost as bad as dealing with the IR. Sorry dh is going up the wall NU.
Grr to 'social media marketing experience'
Does yakking on MN count?
❤️to Wafcat
and Inferior cat too

Rosebag · 20/02/2017 13:57

How sad about inferiorcat and Dp. Sad

I went for the pink top. The purple looked a bit insipid. We'll see.

After a number of phone calls from India, I can now log into my emails via webmail but can't use multiple devices as yet. Will change the password on phone and iPad this evening and hope for the best. My emails go down three or four times a year. I want to strangle BT but the truth is, the account doesn't get hacked because it reacts to unusual traffic by locking the account. Sadly sometimes the unusual traffic is an email from DM ...Grin

Monty I hope you and DD find a solution you can both live with. It's interesting so many if DDs friends went to a failing school. Or are they the friends you'd rather she didn't have? Flowers I must agree that it was disconcerting as a parent having to sit in parents evenings with teachers who were younger than DS1 although some of them were quite good , even the NQTs.

Rosebag · 20/02/2017 13:58

Crem I'm glad you're feeling a bit better. The hair loss is a sign of the thyroid disorder, isn't it. How long before the mess kick in?

Collymollypuff · 20/02/2017 14:06

Monty, I didn't at all mean that you should actually go for "change school"; I do agree with other crepeys' cautionary thoughts - I suppose I was trying to say: just keep it on the list of possible avenues rather than ruling it out all together. In my case, the idea of leaving an "excellent" school was just considered unthinkable, when it shouldn't have been completely excluded. In my case, I was being controlled by another girl in a way which would now be recognised as bullying. Of course the school I was at should've dealt with that; but since they wouldn't/couldn't, it would've been better if I could've got away from her altogether. As BTM says, I hope you can get to the bottom of whatever the issue is.

Lalsy · 20/02/2017 14:13

Monty, good luck with the meeting. We too had some fun and games with dd, who is now delightful if disorderly.

God yes re young teachers. ds' sixth form tutor chappie looks like a particularly perky yr 12 himself.

Aww, MI.

addle · 20/02/2017 16:09

MI, Flowers about inferior cat

Just spent quite a while, with DH's help, putting more memory in laptop as am off today rather than Friday. Not fun. It's the teeny, teeny, teeny screws that make you feel quite mad [nar?] On bright side got Jaeger camel coat in chaser

And it feels like Spring!

herbaceous · 20/02/2017 17:15

What ho crepeys.

So sorry to hear about Inferior Puss woes. There must be something in the air. Is/was she black and white too? If so, it's getting spooky.

I have just bought and erected for the kittens a scratching post cum tree, to save my legs from their climbing. Naturally, they are playing with the box.

IDismyname · 20/02/2017 17:43

Gentle and sympathetic strokes to you, MI and Inferiorpuss. I have yet to get an animal put down, but elderly DDog is coming up 15, so expect buckets of tears when it happens to me.

Rose - Gor-juss jumper Grin

Re schools - I, too, was very unhappy at school. It just wasn't the place for me. Its a tough call... When I started on my Art and Design foundation course, I was in HEAVEN!

bigTillyMint · 20/02/2017 17:52

Oh dear, MI Flowers

Monty, I am wracking my brains to think of which school is the one you are talking of! I hope you have had a call about an appointment.

Rose, that jumper looks lovely. Especially the colour - it is fantastic on the website, hope it is just as vibrant in RL.

Had a bit of a to-do with DS at lunchtime which involved various texts, calls and me dashing out of work without even checking with my boss first - home and then off in the car. It is all to do with massive anxiety - to be expected with mocks this week, but also to do with his medical plan.

And breathe.

Rosebag · 20/02/2017 18:16

BTM Flowers Have things calmed down now?

Blackduck · 20/02/2017 18:18

BTM hope things have calmed down a bit.
On way home with ds in tow, but at least this has meant another enforced day off in which I can get an application done....

Cremolafoam · 20/02/2017 18:44

Score BD.FootballI need one of those.

BTM , aaargh! Poor You. I hope ds is ok, and you are still breathing.

MI SadFlowers

bigTillyMint · 20/02/2017 19:10

Well we are breathing, thanks! But he is finding it all very hard - just hope I don't have to do any more mercy dashes!

Montypulciano · 20/02/2017 19:16

How are you doing, Mi?

Btm, have sent pm.

Just a reminder - Cote booked at wardour street at 8pm. D and s for those who can beforehand. My real name. Talking of which, I've had a slight name change after a couple of rather odd emails about posts I haven't made. Hope you can still recognise me

motherinferior · 20/02/2017 19:35

Cat is sitting next to me stinkily. It is hard to feel fond of her when she is quite so revolting. Mind you my daughters are also being cross and sulky by turns: DD2 has cheered up after a nice dinner but DD1 is now cross.

addle · 20/02/2017 20:08

But DDs less revolting, MI? We finally took our old kitty to the vet when her kidneys just weren't working so that I kept having to wash her, very gently but she hated it. She would purr in between but really she was having a v rubbish time.

BTM, hope your week improves and DS finds the resources for his mocks.

Been at anti Trump demo with Lalsy. Followed by pie. busy Monday night

wordassociationfootball · 20/02/2017 20:23

Oh hell. BTM for mercy dash and MI for ailing pusscovic.

Semi Urgent consultation needed with the Crepey Travel Bureau.Spain. July August, as not boiling as poss (North West coast?) Cheap as absolutely poss. Lovely area. Hotel (poss all inclusive/half board as veg/gluten free biz makes this stress-freer). DD2 is saying 'all lovely and artificial and nearish to a waterpark with a great pool and a beach, no culture.' I am thinking nice town/culture would be nice. Location to start this search please?

wordassociationfootball · 20/02/2017 20:24

Lovely Monty, just to remind: I'm not coting, just DnSing.

Lalsy · 20/02/2017 20:30

WAF we have been to the Picos and coast. Was comfortable temp, some rain (hence costa verde), not much in way of hotels or water parks when/where we were there. Few years back. Good surf seafood and strange villages where they threw wooden balls at the mayor of an evening.

And we went to Barcelona last summer for mini break - reasonable hotel with air con, town beaches fine, nicer ones nearby, shed loads of culture, wonderful food. It was hot and we don't like heat but it was mostly fine - by the sea, lots do share and green spaces, can go and swim early evening then have dinner. Really easy to get around so dc can go off and you all meet up.

Lalsy · 20/02/2017 20:36

Oh and big water park a train ride away (we didn't go).

BTM I hope your heart has stopped pounding.

hattymattie · 20/02/2017 20:57

BTM - just a quicky to sent strength and hugs. You are doing a brilliant job with supporting DS. It will get better. Flowers.

Monty - I'm sniggering at the idea of you with a moustache.

I'm grumpy because my hypertension medicine (I have it genetically) doesn't seem to be working and I'm going to have to up the dose - I really don't want side effects.

GiddyGiddyGoat · 20/02/2017 21:07

Gah - I'm hopeless and can't keep up - sorry.
Monty, I know I'm signed up for the Cote outing - but when the feck is it? TIA. Loving your twirly moustache...
