Music Room near S Molton St lib - lots there but I didn't get anything - will save myself for Bicester!

libertydoddle · 28/02/2017 16:28

Thanks amber. I won't be able to get there ( which is probably a good thing).

Shop I am planning to try Winser London for trousers. They get good press. There's a branch in Marlow which I hope to get to in the next few weeks rather than ordering online. Also have you tried B0den? Richmond trousers seem to have lots of fans.

Everyone good suggestion re trying a man's cardigan. I'll browse a few sites. Also funny that you mention the B0den catalogue, DH said earlier when I called him that it has arrived and that he flicked through and thought there were a few dresses that would suit me. It's a mark of how bored he is that he is now shopping for me Grin

AmberNectarine · 28/02/2017 18:30

It's on for five days lib can send you the invite if you like? I did see a couple of lovely orange and olive bags that made me think of you!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 28/02/2017 19:45

Lib, everyone I also got the B0den catalogue and liked lots of things in it! I must not be young anymore Grin but I need to remember the no free returns thing. Also their stuff looks nice on the catalogues but can be cut very frumpily I find. They used to have a shop near me but it closed down.

I've been awol and I'm sorry. Busy at work (and ill with my first cold in a year)! I went to the doctors today and some absolute arse drove into my car and denied it, it took me forever to get his details. The car actually seems fine but not the point (and I had a witness). Why are people so horrible?!

Glad the tooth is out Amber, you defo deserve some Bicester therapy.

Blingy I love that TB dress you bought (and the AMQ of course!) - I don't think I linked it though. The black peplum TB one I bought arrived, I am meh about it because the peplum feels a bit much for work and the sleeves too long for a night out. Also it's not lined.

Right, time for pancakes for dinner (with smoked salmon, cream cheese and rocket) :)

libertydoddle · 28/02/2017 19:53

Blair there is a 15% code on my catalogue and it includes free returns. I have been known to do a couple of separate orders when I have a free returns code and then stockpile the extra free returns labels for the times when free return isn't included Wink. What a PITA about your accident.

Has anyone tried B0den jeans?

libertydoddle · 28/02/2017 19:53

Amber pm Smile

Everyonelovessparkles · 28/02/2017 19:55

Shame about the trouser hunt shop. I also find trousers really difficult to buy. At least you had some success in nk space though Smile

Have you got anything in mind that you want from Bicester amber or just see what takes your fancy?

lib that is funny about your DH!

blair I never pay for boden returns. Often the discount codes give you free delivery and returns. I agree that what looks nice in the catalogue can often be dreadful IRL but think it's always worth taking a punt with the discounts. What a nuisance about the driver. Some people are just unbelievable. Hope you aren't feeling too bad. That's a shame about the TB dress but it was quite expensive if you aren't sure.

AmberNectarine · 28/02/2017 20:12

lib have sent you an email 😊

AmberNectarine · 28/02/2017 20:16

everyone not really - want to get a birthday present for my PA (probably something swarovski or Mac brushes from the make up shop). I usually find something though (probably shoes). I have been looking for a bright coat for a while, but poss not the time of year!

Need to properly plough through my wardrobe and choose some tops for Monday (ignores impending nerves).

littleredlipstick · 28/02/2017 20:44

Burberry had some lovely coats in Bicester.

Some lovely jewellery in the Links shop didn't get a chance to look in Swarovski was packed on Sunday.

Gucci some beautiful shoe boots for £167 but none in my size same as some thick heeled red courts with the small double gold GG emblem on the front.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 28/02/2017 20:52

Good point about the B0den codes - my last few orders have been sales items, so if I buy fp with discount I should be ok!

shopafrolic · 28/02/2017 20:53

I've always found Borden frumpily cut for me (other than swimwear) but may try the trousers.
My two most beloved pIrs of trousers were from Hugo Boss and Joseph.
Is there a Joseph store at Bicester does anyone know?
Blair poor you about the accident. I had a guy slam his brakes on in front of me so I tapped into the back of him (blatantly a dodgy insurance claim). There was £200 of damage to my car, his claim for damage and physio now stands at over £13k - I wasn't doing more than 15MPH. Bloody irritating.

littleredlipstick · 28/02/2017 20:58

Didn't see a Joseph on Sunday was gutted that jaeger had closed down.

AmberNectarine · 28/02/2017 21:33

No Joseph at Bicester, shop, but they have an excellent outlet store on the Kings Road - I got my red LLs there for about £150.

AmberNectarine · 28/02/2017 21:36

Ah yes, I rarely come out of Gucci empty-handed! Last time I think I did well in Saint Laurent and Valentino.

I buy pretty much all my work trousers from DKNY at Bicester, actually. They seem to be cut well for my figure.

queencerulean · 28/02/2017 21:38

Evening all.
amber welcome back. Interested to know what you will wear
shop shame about the trousers. I get on with some boden ones but not the richmonds. Gap, oasis and warehouse tend to fit me well.
blair sorry to hear about your car. I know what a petrol head you are.

I got the boden catalogue too and swooned over lots but probably won't order anything yet.

AmberNectarine · 28/02/2017 21:40

queenC there are quite a lot of rules - no patterns, no white, no sparkles, bright, block colour preferred.

I have to take quite a few tops (in case I do well and have to record several shows in a row). Am erring towards red, pine green, bright purple etc (basically my ** colours)

littleredlipstick · 28/02/2017 21:48

Some nice leather trousers in Hugo boss for women £95 and some nice dresses.

I had a look for the tribal earrings in Dior they only had 4 colours and some had the big see through pearl at the back but you could see how it was attached if you know what I mean. I asked if they were heavy and they weren't so hanging on to get the grey pearl effect ones.

shopafrolic · 28/02/2017 21:50

Top tip Amber thanks - I haven't visited the King's Rd in years!

Hi all
sorry for going awol again. Poor df has been very ill in hospital for over 2 weeks now. Thankfully he is improving now but it was been the worst time of my life. I'm hoping he will be able to come home in a few days. Have spent most of my time at the hospital and dh has been amazing as usual looking after the dc.
Anyway I am going to jump back in as I've not been able to keep up.
I bought these on click and collect but I didn't get a chance to collect so they were sent back. I thought they might be a good alternative to ankle boots until the weather warms up.

I sent back this shirt today. The colour was quite different irl but the fit was perfect so I will look out for a different print/colour in the slim signature style.

Also bought this before df got ill. It was my favourite colour in the ambient lighting palette but they don't do it separately, its exclusive to the palette. I actually haven't noticed any difference between them though and its cheaper than the ambient light ones.
dh got me a Gucci monogram scarf/shawl in charcoal grey and black from Bicester which I love. Enjoy your trip Amber look forward to seeing what you buy.
Theres no Joseph there shop although it is being massively expanded with a load of new shops by the autumn so maybe one will open then. There is a Joseph outlet on Kings rd though is you are ever in that neck of the woods

What sort of bag are you after lib I saw this apc bag in peacock blue and thought of you apc bag
Hope everyone is well and I am hoping to make it to the mu.

justasecond · 28/02/2017 22:07

apologies for the terrible grammar, crappy laptop on its last legs!

shopafrolic · 28/02/2017 22:12

Just seen an Instagram post by whistles saying this 20% off promo will be the only one this season.... perhaps Grazia isn't happening this year?

Thanks shop xx
and I x posted with Amber re the Joseph outlet!

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 28/02/2017 22:46

so sorry to hear your DF has been so ill justa best wishes for his continued recovery

trousers and jeans are the bane of my existence, it's so difficult for me to find ones that fit properly. I refuse to spend loads on them for a couple of reasons, 1 because i'm slowly slowly losing weight so i don;t want to pay out for something that wont last if i lose weight and 2, they rarely ever fit properly no matter what price point i buy at so i'm less resentful at something not being quite right if it's not really pricey

bought some neon green converse hi tops today, i love them, bright as they might be. i really fancy some mint green ones so am on the look out for those and will pounce when i see some, don't mind hi or lo tops
