Mascara on lower lashes

Do you think mascara on the lower lashes is aging?
I'm 45 and luckily still have quite thick and long lashes that I apply mascara to both upper and lower lashes but under my eyes the skin is starting to get wrinkly.
I was reading that mascara on the lower lashes can be quite aging.
What do you think?

Thanks freshstart! About 3 or 4 years ago I was at a corporate lunch thing and I was sat next to a dermatologist who owned her own skincare line (for the life of me can't remember what it was called). She was 41 but I kid you not looked no older than 30. Her skin was FLAWLESS. We all asked her what's her secret and she said:

  • start taking care of your skin young(I was 25 or 26 at the time so I ran to a cosmetics counter after lunch and bought a night cream)
  • baby Botox
  • the brush thing that scrubs your face
  • wear factor 50 suncream everyday, yes even in winter
  • eat foods rich in antioxidants

She was honestly one of the most beautiful women I'd ever seen so took her advice and have been careful ever since!
