I have made unglamorous pharmacy purchases for forthcoming trip. I wish I could request pile meds with equanimity.

MrsSchadenfreude · 17/12/2016 12:54

Good news from school - DD1 can redo her theatre presentation (they had to wait for confirmation of this from the IBO and it has taken forever). Theatre teacher suggested that DD1 be tested for ADD and Aspergers. Not sure how I feel about this.

Bad news from school: Tutor has just invoiced us for £600. Wonder if she declares this to tax man?

bigTillyMint · 17/12/2016 12:59

CV, the place was a huge flashy bar/resto/club up west. They had clearly way over-reached themselves on work-do bookings and the place was more rammed than you could imagine. We had a good time drinking together, but our table (booked for 8.30) was still not remotely ready at 10.30.... The guy who puported to be the "manager" was a complete arsehole - probably just a jumped-up bouncer.
They eventually came up with 10 bottles of prosecco and the money is to be refunded to the poor person who booked it's credit card to redistribute to everyoneAngry

bigTillyMint · 17/12/2016 13:02

MrsS, given the service you have had (ie none) I would refuse to pay. What did the tutor actually do?
I imagine the suggestion to assess her for ASD and ADD is pretty upsetting for you (does she know?) - even though she may not get a formal diagnosis (ie just shows some traits), it would be really helpful in the future so that strategies can be put in place to support her Flowers

BeachysSnowyWellieBoots · 17/12/2016 13:52

We were told to get ds tested for ADHD by the educational psychologist, but the GP and the psychologist said not to, so we settled for depression and anxiety! Not sure which is better/worse.

On the HRT, I think I feel more 'active', actually a bit hyper at times, so that's good I guess. I feel I've got a bit of swagger back, iykwim Grin obviously this could be all in my tiny mind!

CointreauVersial · 17/12/2016 14:48

Beachy - are you tearing DH's clothes off yet? Wink

Well, we're back from our shopping trip already! DS subscribes to the "get there, purchase, get out" school of shopping (no idea where he gets this from - even DH likes a browse), but a Pandora ring for GF and chocolate for his sisters was swiftly purchased. And mincemeat for the mince pies! DS drove there and back, negotiating his first multi-storey car park, foggy roads and and a busy one-way system. The lad done good.

MrsSchadenfreude · 17/12/2016 14:48

The tutor was actually pretty good BTM. But what she did could, and should, have been done by the regular staff. I don't think she has ADD or Asperger, but she is a bit quirky and I don't think it will hurt to have her assessed.

In other news, I have an interview for one of the jobs I applied for.

BeachysSnowyWellieBoots · 17/12/2016 17:13

No, no leaping on Mr Beachy at this stage. But I do feel more amenable to everyone really!

Well done Mrs S. Is it in furrin' parts?

bigTillyMint · 17/12/2016 17:38

Gosh, Beachy, yours is fast-acting! Which one did you get again?Grin Do let us know when you start leaping againWink

I have spent a very enjoyable afternoon watching schmaltzy Christmas films on my own as DS and DH went to watch the footy and DD was asleep working in her room Xmas Smile

CV, your shoppping trip sounds very successful and go your DS with his driving (and you with nerves of steel!) and lucky gf!

MrsS, that is very wise - even if it is just "traits" it would be good to know and try some strategies. And great re getting an interview (nearly 13 years since I did oneShock

No jumping here, but I'm not allowed HRT so DP will have to remain content in sexfree-land.

Am in train back from Sevenoaks after big lunch with friend of DP's. Trying to decide whether to go to further drinks at dear old pal's house. Pro: will see people I haven't seen for ages, I never get to go out, it will be fun. Con: I have to drive to Windsor tomorrow as looks like we are going to see MiL.

bigTillyMint · 17/12/2016 17:56

Rudy, lucky DH Xmas Grin

Herbs, shurely it would be rude not to?

herbaceous · 17/12/2016 19:03

That's what I decided. I'm going to the party - DP is taking DS home. Win.

Aww Rudy Xmas Smile

motherinferior · 17/12/2016 22:35

Successful concert!

Only booze in the house is sloe gin made by a friend last Christmas so am slurping that. DP, very sweetly, came to hear us.

herbaceous · 17/12/2016 23:57

In an uber in way home from party. Resisted various temptations offered to me for the sensible option of home. Great to hang out with me old muckers.

Blackduck · 18/12/2016 09:06

Watched Gone Girl - what a pile of...... There's two hours of my life I won't get back

BeachysSnowyWellieBoots · 18/12/2016 09:35

Did you watch it this morning, BD? We have Elf on permanent loop next door! Telly is a bit knackered and everyone on the screen has a pink hue.... quite sweet but annoying!

Blackduck · 18/12/2016 09:47

No last night. Very very unimpressed

bigTillyMint · 18/12/2016 09:51

Glad I declined when the rest of the family went to see it!

Have you got a D&S plan yet BD? Wine
