V glad you were proud of DD2 MrsS & I'm sure you told her, which is a lot more than either of our mothers would have done.
DD got pulled out of registration today by her politics teacher, who just wanted to say, your essay made my day and I'm giving you full marks for it
. Teachers didn't do that when I was at school.
Relieved that DD got clean bill of health from dentist today. Also, DH drove to Ebbsfleet to pick up a colleague of mine, entirely unknown to him, & deliver her home, because I was working and couldn't go. So I am greatly cheered up. Work was good too.
Hattie & Crem, re: straight talking to parents, I do understand that it's very different when they don't live with you. I wasn't making a suggestion, just commenting on what I did. Putting up with it wasn't an option for me, it was poisoning our family life.
