Here we go!

For those looking confused read the first post here

Been on holiday for half term. plus points:

Able to use lots of hair treatments, night time masks (I took the BodyShop Vit E sleep mask to finish up)
Used a spray dry oil ( Original Source) at night
Walked at least 15,000 steps a day (including WaterPark which was basically all climbing up stairs to slide down the rides)
Drank less coffee than Real Life and loads of soda water (I don't drink alcohol anyway)
Got a light tan Grin

Downside - my good eating habits went out the window so my intolerant intestines are not speaking to me now and will take a while to settle down

I got my hair cut ( loads of grey ) and CBA doing the henna but , I quite like the grey so I'll hang fire a while. Might get another cut in 4 weeks and use brown henna rather than the darker one.

LittleOyster · 01/11/2016 15:01

Am bit of a latecomer to this board, hopefully not too late to start and make some improvements before Christmas.

Might even have posted my to-do list right at the start and then disappeared - can't remember now! Blush

Recently, I have been focusing on reducing gluten consumption and getting into a good, manageable skincare routine, so I 'll persist with those. Also want to back into running regularly. Will do some treatments later and then update.

LittleOyster · 02/11/2016 00:44

Ok, so made quite a good start on the Princessing. Here's what I did:

Epsom salt bath
Glyco-lactic mask
Hair mask
Removed nail polish and applied treatment
Teeth whitening strips

Tomorrow I'll have a go at the hard skin on my hoofs try and try to stay away from gluten.

slightlysoreboobs · 09/11/2016 16:21

Bumping thread.

I think I expressed interest on the pre thread thread and then have done sod all.

Starting small (and at the bottom) I'm going to use my soap and glory foot file tonight, and then put some foot cream and socks on for bed.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 26/11/2016 09:15
Xmas Grin

Xmasclock says its 28 days.

I got the Aldi face-treats advent calender, I opened it on Thursday (cheat 1) but I'm giving my face the benefit of an extra week and (bonus) the little glass phials of serum last more than one day (there are phials and tubes but I've only only opened the first one so far)

Need a haircut next week , going for a really short crop to get down to my natural (grey) colour .......eek, I haven't seen my true hair colour for years.

My eyebrows are starting to look a bit tatty, DD laughed when I said I'd get them threaded (because I have basically no eyebrows) but I don't want to rollox up what I do have. Maybe browgel and don't look too close.

Ate pizza last night, woke up with heartburn and spasmy colon.
Yes intestines you were right, I was wrong. But it tasted darned good.

Peachypeaches · 26/11/2016 10:29

I've been really inspired by this and am proceeding nicely! I've been:

*Drinking 2 litres of water each day
*Have finally cured my Pepsi Max addiction
*Stopped eating anything after 7pm at night

  • New skincare routine
  • Been having nails and eyebrows done
  • Asleep by midnight each night
  • Lots of walking, exercising with weighted hula hoop, and sitting watching TV in the evenings wobbling about on a gym ball
  • Best of all have lost nearly 3 stone (3lbs to go)!

Just need to have hair restyled as currently look like a Dartmoor pony! I might stick a colour on it to brighten it up a bit. Also need some new clothes.

Overall I've found this really inspiring. I look and feel so much better, and am getting loads of compliments. I used to suffer really badly with headaches which have pretty much stopped now, and I don't get heartburn any more.

We're going to see relatives in 3 weeks who we haven't seen since the Summer, and I really hope they notice the change!

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 26/11/2016 11:58

Respect Peachy 3 stone is a really good result, you must be really pleased .
Flowers

Get the Dartmoor Pony look exchanged for a Thoroughbred Racehorse and you're well set Grin

ChickenVindaloo2 · 26/11/2016 12:28

Peachy how did you give up Pepsi? I've quit alcohol (sober nearly 2yrs) but I can't quit the fizzy pop!

Peachypeaches · 26/11/2016 13:15

I just went cold turkey on the Pepsi. The first week was terrible, headaches, brain fog and really really moody! That gradually wore off though. It's been 12 weeks since I gave it up and I don't miss it at all. I was out for lunch last weekend and had one and it tasted horrible, really bitter and strange.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 26/11/2016 13:58

I can't drink soft drinks (I don't like sugar free either though) they make me want to shave my teeth Shock

On holiday I drank loads of soda water (I don't drink alcohol either) from the self service siphon thingey.

As an aside (to put you off cola ) we got a 1.5 litre with a takeaway delivery . I remembered the old tip about pouring it down the loo to descale it.
It doesn't work. The scale went brown and I had to go to Lakeland and buy loo cleaner tablets then scrub like a good'un

Imagine what it would do to my insides!

WrappedInBitsOfSilver · 27/11/2016 08:40

peachy that's brilliant! 3 stone is amazing

I need a recommendation for a hair oil. Ideally something without silicones in that I can put on hair before I dry it fantasises about smooth swishy hair instead of current loo brush look

It's slightlysoreboobs btw. Fancied a NC

AmIImaginingThis · 27/11/2016 10:03

I know I'm a little bit late to the party but can I make a list? I've been trying to eat better since the start of November and have lost 4lbs so far, 6lbs to go!

My aims are:

Track calories don't eat too much sugar or junk food
No alcohol for 5 days of the week
Gym 4 times a week
Monthly collagen facials
Keep nails groomed- shaped and painted
Shave armpits and legs regularly
Fake tan twice a week
Take multivitamin every day
Drink loads of water and green tea

ViolettaValery · 27/11/2016 18:21

Also very late but hoping to join for intensive last minute effort! I am flabby and exhausted with winter hooves under my tights, grey roots and spots, which I rarely get and it's a sure sign I'm overdoing it. Have a lovely ripe spot right in my cleavage, well hot!

No alcohol 4 days a week
Body brush every day
Get bleach streak redone
Gym 3 x per week
Stop getting a pastry and flat white in the morning! Boiled egg or granola at home.
Take in milk and coffee to work so I don't buy coffee
Make sandwich for work every day (this is partly a money-saving princess effort as well)
Multivitamin each day
Always have lemons, cucumber and mint in the fridge so that water tastes nice - sparkling water instead of alcohol with one/all of these in
Go to bed at 10pm once a week
Two home pedicures before Christmas (have all the stuff, just need to do it)
Face mask once a week (bought Lush Love Lettuce yesterday)
Lip scrub every other day
Bleach moustache every fortnight Blush
Serum or night cream at night (have various to use up, can't hurt)
Two brisk 15 minute walks every day (this is easy as it's on the commute, unless I cheat by getting the bus)

Karcheer · 27/11/2016 20:46

Hi all,
I really need this thread. We've been building an extension for over a year and in August my builder abandoned me, so with some help I've finished/ing it off myself. So I've spent zero time in myself and eating and exercise has gone out the window.
My hair hasn't been highlighted since July, my skin is dry and hurts, and spotty, nails broken etc, etc.
TBH I don't know where to start, but I feel so low about myself I need to do something. I hardly wear makeup, my hair is scraped back and definitely not styled, I wear paint stained leggings and tops, and trainers that have seen better days, or afterwards I'm in pjs after a bath.

WrappedInBitsOfSilver · 27/11/2016 21:28

Karcheer have you got stuff in that you just haven't had time to use or are you going to have to go shopping?

Karcheer · 28/11/2016 10:39

I've got some stuff, and I've got no money, so either very cheap things or things I have I guess.
I'm really hoping my tiler gets the tiling finished today and tomorrow the plumber fixes the leak on our shower. For the last year we've only had a bath and I hate baths :(
I do have a gym membership but haven't been for a very long time.

My plan is to add a good habit into the mix each day as I'm rubbish at keeping to these threads, anything else will be a bonus!

Karcheer · 28/11/2016 10:47

I've just found some philip Kingsley elastersizer so will endeavour to use that today and drink water (rather than coffee and cola - although I've already drank two albeit decaf coffees).

BlackSwan · 28/11/2016 11:44

EEEK... the contractions from my new Slendertone bottom are quite gripping. But in a month, I'll have a smaller butt. And that's worth it.

Just opened a new bottle of retinol. Here we go!

ViolettaValery · 28/11/2016 13:44

Karcheer that sounds like a nightmare! Is the end in sight now?

Karcheer · 28/11/2016 14:22

violetta sort of. The tiler promises me he'll finish today, gawd knows how long the plumber will take.
We won't have any carpets, but are buying very cheap vinyl for rooms that have to have something and will make do with the chipboard floorboards where it's not so necessary.
I've only the utility room, kitchen, downstairs loo and hallway to paint now, I've done the rest. I think I'll probably leave the kitchen and hallway after xmas now.

JemimaMuddledUp · 28/11/2016 17:57

Right - I need serious effort now!

Have been doing OK since September - lost the half stone I put back on over the summer and am now almost 2 stone lighter than last Christmas.

Coloured my hair to hide the grey over the weekend. Have got a cut booked plus an eyebrow wax for the day before my office party on the 16th.

Have got my first Christmas do on Thursday night. Unfortunately have got a huge spot on my forehead, but I'm hoping 3 days is long enough for it to disappear. Have got my outfit sorted - long black and gold dress with black heels and a black shrug. Magic underwear underneath Grin. Gold sparkly nails.

Am also excited about Thursday as MIL has bought me the M&S beauty advent calendar!

WrappedInBitsOfSilver · 29/11/2016 04:47

Jemima have you got any la Roche posay effaclar? My DD uses it, and I got a monster forehead spot last week so tried it - it killed it! There's a little red dot that I can hardly see - thought I'd let you know Smile

Karcheer · 29/11/2016 12:20

Failed to drink more water or do the hair treatment but did just treat myself to having my nails done, they looked terrible, they now look nice. Baby steps...

WrappedInBitsOfSilver · 29/11/2016 13:01

Yay for the nails karcheer! Mine need doing....

I've just bought some argan oil. It was on offer in Asda. Annoyingly I've just washed my hair this morning but I'll try it in a day or two, I've read elsewhere on here that hair oil + BBH = swooshy gorgeous hair. I'll report back Grin

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 03/12/2016 01:16

Three weeks till Christmas Eve.

My poor hands ....... I have to handwash 30-40 times a day at work and wear gloves (vinyl) so my hands are practically mummified and my nails are splitting ( I'm not able to wear any product)
I have tubes of heavy duty cream to hand and use it loads.

Plus Points:
using my Aldi Advent (a week early) so my skin feels nice.

had my hair cut so it looks tidy (and very short) , excuse to use my lovely Kipling scarf.

DD and I are going to London, so I might treat myself . No idea what though.

I bought the L'Occitane QVC offer so once my present shower gel is used, I can start on my gorgeous Almond Oil .
