I'm drinking 2l of water and averageing 11000 steps per day. Got hair done last week so
Up my skin care routine
Sort feet footner didn't make much difference.
Wear perfume every day
Wear jewellery more often
Keep updating wardrobe as things get too big.
Keep on top of defuzzing
Try and find a nail varnish that doesn't wreck my fingernails. My toe nails are indestructible but my fingers dry out and get really rough every time I paint themSad

Onehellofaride · 19/09/2016 12:19

Ok finally going to post my list!

  1. cut down on alcohol.
  2. drink more water.
  3. go for a run/treadmill twice a week.
  4. power hooping once a week.
  5. watch some hair and make up tutorials.
  6. take DC swimming once a week.
  7. go to bed earlier on a night and get up earlier in the morning.
  8. take better care of feet.
  9. start flossing twice a day.
  10. no phone in bed.
  11. hot water and lemon on a morning.
  12. maintain skin care regime.
  13. weekly hair and face masks.
  14. tan once a week.
  15. always have 5 a day and cut down on snacking.

I'm consistent with my hair, nails and eyebrow appointments and I always have make up and perfume on. I just need to be healthier now!

I got off to a good start but not been great over the weekend Blush

Doilooklikeatourist · 19/09/2016 17:16

Doing ok so far
Bought some face packs and essential oils in TK Maxx, will use tonight
Had much less wine than normal this weekend won't mention the Indian takeaway
Loads more fruit and veg , and less bread ( meaning less butter and cheese )

8FencingWire · 19/09/2016 21:09

Failed miserably yesterday, and today!!! I did cycle for 30 mins though.
I will do a shred in the morning.

threemoregoals · 19/09/2016 22:44

I'm marking my place here - I'd love to join you all. Things have got a bit out of hand with me, I've put on a bit of weight this summer. For me:

  1. No white carbs, ever. Not even chips.
  2. Green juice every morning.
  3. No sweets, chocolate or crisps.
  4. Vodka tonic or cava only (no beers)
  5. 8 glasses of water a day.
  6. Bed (and phone off) by 10pm unless I'm out.
  7. Clean and moisturise skin before bed.
  8. Gel nails every two weeks.
  9. Threading every two weeks.
10. Exercise 4 times a week. 11. Do roots every 3 weeks. 12. Buy no clothes until 2017 - I have plenty! 13. Botox every 3 months. 14. Do pedicures at home whenever needed. 15. Exfoliate every day in the shower.
DilapidatedGlamourpuss · 21/09/2016 05:29

Last couple of days have been dreadful- DH is away on a work trip and it's been a stressful couple of weeks, so obviously I've decided to deal with that by eating everything in the house Blush

I'm getting him to take all the junk food to work when he gets back on Thursday as I can't seem to control myself at the moment!

CurbsideProphet · 21/09/2016 11:23

I'm recovering from a gastroenteritis type virus, which has kickstarted my healthy eating ie I don't feel like eating at all Sad

On the positive side: I have a job interview tomorrow and am planning to wear a new dress, new shoes, and my nails look lovely.

Onehellofaride · 22/09/2016 10:10

Had a good day yesterday, hot water and lemon first thing, ate well all day, went to an exercise class, full body exfoliated, face mask and self tan. I didn't drink enough water though!

Just need to keep it up today then tomorrow I'll be in a spa relaxing, eating and drinking! Grin

How's everyone else doing?

Onehellofaride · 22/09/2016 10:11

Curbside good luck for your interview! I'm sure you will look fabulous Star

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 22/09/2016 10:36

This sounds like something I need! Here is my list, some of the stuff I already do and some of it will be new.

  • Sunday will be skin care day, I will do a face scrub and a face mask.
  • Moisturise every morning after my shower
  • Buy new brush heads for my mia face brush thing and use it maybe a few times a week
  • Healthy breakfast
  • Concerted effort to eat more vegetables
  • Apply nail cream stuff before bed
  • Daily multivitamin
  • Run 3x a week (mon, wed, fri)
  • Bodypump class on a Saturday morning
  • Regular hairdresser visits, I am terrible for only going when my roots are horrible and the ends are truly split endy. Am booked to go next week (and it is definitely time!) and I am going to book the next appointment in while I am there so I can't let it go too long again.

Are any of you doing tooth whitening? If so, what are you using? I did a course of bleaching a few years ago and it was really good, but I remember not being allowed to drink black coffee or red wine during the course and I am not keen on giving those up again!

8FencingWire · 22/09/2016 21:58

Well, I started tonight by properly cleansing and using a toner and almond oil to moisturise. Had a nice face massage too, and hydrated, hopefully, my hands as well.
Must remember vitamin :)

CurbsideProphet · 22/09/2016 22:48

Thank you Onehellofaride Blush
I'm still feeling pretty unwell, so I'm not sure I was really firing on all cylinders. I haven't been able to eat since Sunday and slept horrifically last night, so my skin is suffering for it Sad My DP says I'll be feeling much better by Sunday, so I'm holding onto that!

rumandcokewithice · 22/09/2016 23:05

Can I join you please? I'm at a bit of a low ebb with my looks and weight (I've gained about 3st this year, and I wasn't him to start with), so could do with something to spur me on.

My list (I might add to it if I think of more)

  1. Drink 8 glasses a day of liquid a day (I hate water, will try weak squash. I drink probably 2 glasses a day at the moment which I know isn't enough!)
  2. Write down all my food daily - treats no more than once a week, no fried food or butter, cream, etc. Lots of veg, lean meat, oily fish.
  3. Colour my hair every 4 weeks (I do it myself)
  4. Deep condition my hair once a week
  5. Early night once a week, in bed by 10pm at least 2 other nights.
  6. Gym 3x a week for at least 30 mins
  7. Take my hours lunchbreak at least 2x a week.
  8. Don't sit at my desk for longer than 2 hours without getting up
  9. Stop biting my fingernails
  10. Give myself a pedicure every weekend.
Helgathehairy · 23/09/2016 08:56

The heartburn has kicked in. I (weirdly) am fine when I drink coffee but water makes it worse!

OP posts:
lifeistooshort · 23/09/2016 09:40

Ooh great ideas on this thread I will

  1. try dermaplanning
  2. try to get a bit more expert with make up and to do more everyday
  3. follow my WW plan and loose a stone
  4. do a face mask everyweek
  5. do a hair mask every week

That is about it...not very amibitious. will read the thread again for more inspiration

PeppermintInfusion · 23/09/2016 10:11

Ooh place marking, feel like a right scruff at the min:
1 following SW plan, aiming for 2 stone by Christmas
2 water, lots of it. Aiming for 3l a day as the air in my office is super dry and I need to talk a lot which dehydrates me
3 cut back on coffee, as coffee and tea leads to snacking Blush
4 sort out my nails/hands/feet, moisturise and nail oil every day
5 I've made my next hair appt so I don't leave it too long. Ditto waxing and eyebrow appts and also booked a facial
6 have a weekly night for face masks and other beautifying
7 10k steps and some form of exercise everyday.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 23/09/2016 12:23

Helga heartburn is grim Sad is it worse when you're lying down?

I drank pints of milk when I was pg (sometimes 4-5 pints a day !)

It's supposed to herald the arrival of a hairy baby Grin both of mine had a good head of hair and DS had little fuzzy ears (I was so sad when they lost their ear fur but now he's 16yo, it wouldn't look quite as cute as on a 3 month old)

Helgathehairy · 23/09/2016 15:30

70 it is worse when I'm lying down. I had it bad with DD as well and when she was born she had a Jedward quiff! Straight up at the front!

OP posts:
Loungingbutnotforlong · 24/09/2016 08:03

Helga, I second the glass of milk to soothe heartburn- poor you, heartburn is vicious!
Doing ok on the princessing. We were at a party yesterday and I was very pleased to have started the Blood sugar diet three weeks ago - still aways to go, but it felt like a really good start.
Also loving Lisa Eldridge make up tutorials- her smoky eye is easy and fab! I wasn't one for playing about with make up when I was a teenager, but I love it now I am almost 40 (the only 'me' time I seem to get) Smile

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 24/09/2016 20:16

Princessing going well here so far Grin
I need to do my henna tomorrow (four hours poncing round with clingfilm and a towel turbie)

Wax (I'm going away in four weeks so I can fit in another wax before I go) need to do the old bikini line too

Start with my tan accelerator at night

My Summer clothes are sitting in a basket waiting to be washed and packed , don't need them at the moment.

Weighed/measured today , lost 3lb but no inch loss.

Ememem84 · 24/09/2016 20:35

I'm in. This is my list:

  • drink 2litres water a day
  • cut back on tea
  • eyebrow wax and shape (make appointment)
  • gym three times a week
  • walk to and from work at least twice a week
-make sure I go outside each lunchbreak for at least a 30 minute walk.
  • reach my 1000km target this year on mapmywalk. I am at just over 800km so far. So close!
  • get up earlier every morning or at least when alarm goes off
  • wear a bit more make up (am also doing ashamed of beauty product hoard)
-try one new hairstyle a month.
thenewaveragebear1983 · 24/09/2016 20:49

Can I join too please? I've been doing Michael Moseley but I've been falling totally off the wagon on weekends, getting no sleep with baby ds and starting to feel tired, sluggish and bleaugh.
My list: get back into my diet mode and lose the half stone I've regained!
Sugar free as much as possible
Take time each day to do my makeup and devote a bit of time to me for a change, do hair, defuzz etc
Walk to school and back x 2 each day
Water x more than currently drinking!
Increase veg and cut down bad carbs

There's probably more but that's all for now!

8FencingWire · 25/09/2016 09:32

I plan a run after straightening the house :)
Tonight it's hot bath, nails, a face mask and meditation :)

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 25/09/2016 13:41

Intensive conditioner and one of those Mask-er-ade sheet masks while I put clothes away (Multi-Tasking Wink)

Got my Tracker , nowhere near 10,000 but I'm working on it.

8FencingWire · 25/09/2016 16:30

Face mask on as we speak, I made a start on pedicure, too!
