Am I too skinny?

I want you to be totally honest.
Do I look too thin?
I always get comments insinuating that I musnt eat much etc.
Would be nice to get people's opinions who if they walked past me in the street what would they think?
Could I do with adding some extra weight?
I don't mind honesty either.

You have a really lovely figure. Big boobs, tiny waist. There is quite a gap between your legs, like models have, but this can make your legs look too skinny.
You have very very long lovely fingers. Dead jealous of my fat chipolata's. Maybe that makes you look a bit too thin. Are you very thin in the face and neck? Sometimes that can be age'ing.

What are the horrible comments these vile people are making?
But maybe you do need to force yourself to eat a but more. Stretching the stomach, so that it becomes your norm, takes very little time.

You look fine too me, you look a similar size to me and I am most definitely not too skinny 😂

Boredomismyenemy · 11/09/2016 17:44

I don't think you are skinny, I think you have a perfectly nice slim figure. I weigh 8st5lb and I get comments constantly that I'm too slim, need to eat more or even have you lost even more weight. I've been this weight at least 2 years, after my second child and bf her for a year something in my body changed. I have had tests which came back normal. And like you I've tried to gain weight by forcing myself to eat more which just made me feel sick and didn't gain a thing! My mums said of the family all the women were slimmer as they aged so I think it's genes.
As long as you feel healthy and happy in your skin then just ignore it.

wowfudge · 11/09/2016 17:46

I'm afraid people who are envious of your figure might well say things to you and not realise how they are making you feel. If you are concerned about your health you can work out to build muscle strength and flexibility which will stand you in good stead now and in the future. Make sure you are getting enough calcium in your diet.

Happyasapigin · 11/09/2016 17:48

I'm fine with excercise, walk a lot always got lots of energy.
I do think about food a lot..only because I'm always hungry.
Don't have any problems at all with food only that people sometimes think I must be anorexic

You look slim and healthy to me.

You look great Smile

You look slim rather than skinny. And there's nothing wrong with being skinny anyway.

SapphireStrange · 11/09/2016 18:47

If you're healthy and energetic and your body works well, then you've nothing to worry about.

People shouldn't make personal comments about others' appearance, speculate on what or how much they eat etc. I'm thin too (well, lanky, to my mind, but people seem to want to say 'skinny') and am sick to the back teeth of 'Don't you eat?' comments, not to mention the assumptions that I'm a vegetarian or vegan Hmm

DerelictMyBalls · 11/09/2016 18:56

You're completely bloody gorgeous!

mewkins · 11/09/2016 19:02

No, you are the shape you are. I am also slim/skinny and get comments all the time - not nasty at all but constant comments because I am also fairly tall. I tried to disguise it with baggy clothes as a teen but now I don't care. I count myself lucky and have even embraced my lack of significant boobs because I am totally in proportion with myself.

Resettingmyapp · 11/09/2016 19:07

No, look fine to me.

Don't understand why people think those on the slimmer size are fair game for comments about their weight. I once had a woman literally pounce in front of me when I was out running saying "what do you need to run for, you're skinny enough" Hmm I know it's probably well intentioned but it can make you a bit paranoid at times.

burnishedsilver · 11/09/2016 19:07

You look to me like you are a healthy weight.

Happyasapigin · 11/09/2016 19:22

Resettingmyapp-I went to the gym for the first time in years a few weeks ago and I got "what you doing here, you don't need to loose weight"

That wasn't my intention..I wanted a hobby and to try and build muscle in my arms.
Not to loose weight
People can be so judgemental

Your friends are just jealous. You have fabulous legs!

bibbitybobbityyhat · 11/09/2016 19:28

How tall are you. What is your bmi?

You are giving out mixed messages tbh. If you accepted yourself as naturally slim you wouldn't have wanted breast implants.

I suspect that you might need a lot of validation and approval and your facebook friends could be tired of having to like a string of selfies.

retainertrainer · 11/09/2016 19:38

You've got a lovely figure. I used to get comments like this all the time and I was always worried that I looked ill, looking back at old pictures now and I can see that I had a fantastic figure and I wasn't too thin at all. It's pure jealousy.

Resettingmyapp · 11/09/2016 19:39

I hope that wasn't the trainers happy? If it was I'd be finding somewhere else. Exercising is the only way I can put on weight, put on a stone when I used to run and go to the gym a lot. Unfortunately sciatica has put me out of action, I've lost all my muscles and the weight's dropped off again.

specialsubject · 11/09/2016 19:39

Do you eat a good mix of nutrients in the right proportions? Do you get some exercise? Do you feel healthy?

That is all that matters.

Fwiw, as you asked, i dont think you are too skinny. Big difference between you and the alexa chung ' shit, eat something quick' look.

puglife15 · 11/09/2016 19:45

Being totally honest as you asked...

I don't know about TOO skinny at that weight might be healthy for you but yes I would use skinny to describe you. I appreciate if you eat a fair bit there little you can do.

I think if you started weight training to build muscle you would look healthier and sexier and feel better about yourself.

Please hold your head up high though as the tall skinny people I know all seem to stoop!

retainertrainer · 11/09/2016 19:46

Bibbity-she's not giving out mixed messages at all! You can be happy being slim but unhappy being flat chested-they're 2 completely different things!

sausagefest · 11/09/2016 19:46

You look great to me.

Happyasapigin · 11/09/2016 19:56

Bibbity-I don't need validation from my friends,I never mention their weight or my weight.
If they didnt constantly harp on about "what's your secret" or " you can't tell me you eat all kinds and never get fat" then I wouldn't be half as paranoid.
I'm 5ft 7
My bmi is 20 I think.
Or 20.5
Last time I checked.
I hated having no boobs..it made me feel like less of a woman.
