What was the last three items you bought from the high street?

I'm really struggling as everything I see just isn't "me", I wore it 15-20 years ago or is too old!
My last three are:

  • black skinnies from New Look
  • blue blazer from Miss Selfridge
  • tan wedges from TK Maxx
OP posts:
PacificDogwod · 26/07/2016 22:25

Baukjen leather leggings
Salomon exercise top
Land's End short

Reading that, it's a rather eclectic list of brands...

PacificDogwod · 26/07/2016 22:26

shorts

HeyMicky · 26/07/2016 22:26

thewideeyedpea · 26/07/2016 22:29

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 26/07/2016 22:30

Knee length burgundy and black patterned skirt

In January. I hate clothes shopping.

prettywhiteguitar · 26/07/2016 22:30

Bardot style jumpsuit from m&s in navy, linen shorts from primark, bikinis from Jack wills.

It's not what you buy its the way that you wear it !

chanie44 · 26/07/2016 22:31

Denim dress from French connecting

Patterned jeans and a sleeveless top from uniqlo

littlepooch · 26/07/2016 22:35

Denim shorts from M&S
Stripy Breton top from gap
Kurt Geiger sandals from tk maxx

I was shopping furiously last minute for our holiday at the local retail park hence the above :)

RiverTam · 26/07/2016 22:43

Skinny jeans from Fat Face (very good, properly skinny but not jeggings)
A scarf from M&S with peacocks on it
Papillion Birkenstocks in the sale at Peter Jones

Doobigetta · 26/07/2016 22:44

Flat tan sandals from House of Fraser in the sale. Thought they were leather, turned out not but as they're basically just straps across my feet it doesn't matter all that much.
Bikini from John Lewis. Have had one on my list for ages as one needed replacing. Advanced age obviously means only approx 5% of the bikinis tried on prove acceptable, so it was a long search.
Long sleeved Casual shirt from Boden, purchased when decided nice weather was a thing of the past. Of course, we've had a heat wave since then. I need to remember, every time I get depressed about shit weather I can fix it by buying cool weather clothes.

eurochick · 26/07/2016 22:46

Two casual t shirts and one smart blouse for work - all in the sale at Banana Republic.

Tanfastic · 26/07/2016 22:50

I'm 43....

A matte satin khaki bomber jacket from Wallis
White Converse.
Jasper Conran tote for work.

Theimpossiblegirl · 26/07/2016 22:50

Today I bought a blue and white striped cold should dress from Dorothy Perkins. I couldn't be bothered to try it and was half expecting to return it tomorrow, but when I tried it on it was so flattering (and DD said I looked lovely- she's 13 and not always forthcoming with compliments so it's a keeper).

I also bought 2 bras in Debenhams but am still searching for an attractive and supportive strapless bra (the Holy Grail for the large of nork).

leccybill · 26/07/2016 22:51

Dress with pineapples on from Next sale (going back)
White skinnies from Dotty P's
Stripe tee with cut out shoulders from Dotty P's

hollieberrie · 26/07/2016 22:52

All charity shop / Ebay, but:

  • A casual dress from French Connection
  • A linen tee from FatFace
  • White Converse
wibblywobblytummytumtum · 26/07/2016 22:56

35 here....
Limited edition orange Molly jeans from river island
Flowery/camo print dress from topshop
Split back white and black stripey t shirt from topshop

Daisygarden · 26/07/2016 23:00

Oasis floral tea/summer dress
Dune studded gladiator sandals
Miss Selfridge bardot dress

NomenOmen · 26/07/2016 23:01

Charity shop here too, so possibly unhelpful re: your question:

J-Crew coral dress
Abercrombie & Fitch blue checked shirt
Patrizia Pepe navy dress

For a number of reasons, I never buy clothes new (except underwear, swimwear, sports kit & hosiery). I find it quite liberating just browsing for stuff that catches my eye in charity shops, as I never feel bound to follow fashion. I don't think I look a total freak & people frequently compliment me on my clothes.

ephemeralfairy · 26/07/2016 23:02

Black multi-strap pointy leather flats from TopShop
Boyfriend jeans from Primark
Khaki bomber from Primark

NomenOmen · 26/07/2016 23:03

Sorry - I didn't mean to sound irritatingly pious, then. I just meant to say that if current fashions don't appeal to you, don't wear them!

HelenF35 · 26/07/2016 23:04

Skinny jeans
Breton top X 2

All Sainsburys.

Pigeonpost · 26/07/2016 23:05

Our high street is a tad limited but the last 3 shops I bought clothes in were:

Joules: two vest tops
Seasalt: one pair shorts, one pair cropped trousers
Asda: bikini, knickers, beach cover up, pyjamas

I miss 'real' shops.

MamehaSan · 26/07/2016 23:11

A blue silky top from French Connection
A blue, short-sleeved jumper from Next
A pair of pink suede block heel shoes from Next

nilbyname · 26/07/2016 23:18

Silver block heel sandals- Dune
Black cotton play suit- H&M
Black and gold printed Bikini bottoms- primark

The play suit I bought was £5 and is so flattering and floaty. It's really lovely! Really pleased with it as usually I find H &M to be a bit of a jumble.
