I am on the hunt for a REALLY good pair of fake diamond stud earrings... can you recommend any?

I am a horror with earrings and generally manage to lose them quite quickly which is why I don't want an actual pair of diamond studs (plus the £1k cost) but the current ones a have just don't sparkle and look pretty grotty. I ordered a pair from brilliant Inc which were super sparkly but the fitting of the butterfly was really lose and for £65 I was not happy so returned them. Has anyone bought from trudiamonds, carat or any other specialist in good fake sparklers?

I like the style.

I think I might take a punt on these, but can't decide on 4mm or 5mm?!

Anyone who has bought from this place--they nice and sparkly?

This thread inspired me to get out every piece of jewellery I possess, and sort and clean everything, and get rid of all the Mexican silver/wooden beads/general crud that I am never going to wear again. Everything left is all sparkly and I've ordered proper lidded storage trays from Amazon so I will be able to see at a glance what I have rather than bring faced with 40 random jewellery boxes. It turns out I have a lot of silver dangly earrings. I made the mistake one year of admiring a pair of Charles Rennie Mackintosh earrings, and got given them for the next 12 Christmasses. I've got some lovely old rings from my grandma and my MIL when she died that I'd forgotten about, a few random bracelets and no necklaces at all. So now I can see the gaps (sparkly studs and some neck bling).

Ooh, the shipping on the Heavenly ones is a bit spendy. Might take a punt on the QVC ones though.

I kept losing diamond earrings and having to claim on the insurance. In the end I had the last pair converted into screw backs, and it was the best decision ever. I wear them most days, and now don't panic when in changing rooms or out on a run etc.

I did also buy some fake ones in a white gold setting at Ernest Jones (had some leftover insurance money on an EJ card to use up!). TBH, I never wear them now as I'm worried they'll fall out.

My fake sparklers arrived today from Brilliant Inc. They are extremely pretty and, well, sparkly. I'm really pleased with them.

Fomalhaut · 28/07/2016 11:40

Oooh! Pics? Let's see 'em

ilovecherries · 28/07/2016 11:47

Picture doesn't do them justice. They really are lovely.

CodewordRochambeau · 28/07/2016 11:49

Lovely, cherries! What size did you get? Could we trouble you for an action lobe shot when you wear them?

rollonthesummer · 28/07/2016 11:50

Ooh--likee, they are lush!

Can we have a photo in ear shot?

What size did you get and how much??

Fomalhaut · 28/07/2016 11:54

Oooh.... (Rubs hands) ... Shiny.
Seconding the calls for a lobe shot!

ilovecherries · 28/07/2016 11:55

£75; .7C; made it to the wilds of Cumbria the next day with their free delivery.

Oh, they are beautiful!

ilovecherries · 28/07/2016 12:23

I have to say, there is a huge difference between them and the 'really' cheap ones I've had in the past. Obviously they aren't going to pass for the real thing, but they look and feel like a decent earring, and not something for a fiver that will give me a rash in a few hours. I'm happy I got them.

Fomalhaut · 28/07/2016 13:38

Oh really nice. Classy and elegant.

rollonthesummer · 28/07/2016 14:03

Has anyone got the diamondique ones from qvc they have a photo of?

I really love the ones you just posted but didn't want to spend that much. I don't want to spend £20 on rubbish though!!

DailyMailResearcher · 28/07/2016 14:03

Place marking

ilovecherries · 28/07/2016 14:21

summer, I have a pair from them arriving tomorrow ;).

ilovecherries · 28/07/2016 14:22

They will be a gift though, so don't be able to put them in my ears.

ilovecherries · 29/07/2016 10:47

And here are the QVC ones, which I've actually decided to keep for myself, and order a second pair for a gift. They probably aren't 'quite' as nice as the Brilliant Inc ones, but I'm not sure that the brilliant ones are 3 times nicer, that bring the price differential. These are slightly heavier, and the stem is thicker, so I did have to push them through quite firmly - but I tend to wear very fine earrings, so I suspect my holes have narrowed a bit over the years. They are sparkly in the light, including the 'sapphire', and the stones are held with claws, no nasty glue. Overall, I'd say while Id never pass them for real, they are a pretty earring, and look and feel like they cost more than 20 quid. They look 'nice fake' rather than just a cheap earring. Hope that helps :)

They are lovely. (Slightly sad about the Brilliant Inc ones, though - shipping to Australia is £25?! Sad)

ilovecherries · 29/07/2016 10:57

Ouch, Koala, that IS a lot, then I guess also the risk you could get walloped with import tax as well.

rollonthesummer · 29/07/2016 11:28

Can you post a sideways photo of the earrings and the post, cherries?

I have ordered the £20 diamond stud ones and am hoping the post isn't too thick-I already own one pair of earrings I can't get in my (perfectly normal sized) holes! I have problems with my actual real diamond earrings...!

KoalaDownUnder · 29/07/2016 11:37

I knowwww! Ridiculous for something as small as earrings. Ah well.
