And what have you found Mrs S? Not the gin, for the pelvic floor tightening? A friend told me a horror story about using those cone things... just saying.

Cremolafoam · 03/07/2016 20:09

Grin snort! @Mrs S.
Erm , anything else of interest ? Blush

Thanks, they that have already pmed.Flowers

Used to love doing Dd's parties. Happily it was summer time so they could tear about the garden or sleep in tents or we could bbq. We did have a rowing party once, during which a child who was terrified of water, and didn't speak up, was naturally the only child that fell in the river.Shock
Dd will be 21 this week. T w e n t y O n e! Not sure what's happening tbh, but needless to say , it won't involve us. Pah.

MrsSchadenfreude · 03/07/2016 20:28

Cones, GGG. What is your friend's story? I don't piss meself or owt, just thought the growler could do with getting its claws out. Grin

We have no children at the moment. This is very strange. And may have something to do with my interest in cones.

Blackduck · 03/07/2016 20:44

MrsS thosecones nudge nudge wink wink

BeachysSandyFlipFlops · 03/07/2016 20:47

I didn't know you could get a 'thing' to tighten your pelvic floor. I thought it was al squeezy squeezy exercises. One friend put red dots randomly around the house and everyone she saw a dot, she had to squeeze 50 times.

Dd1 has arrived and is fb messaging. All is good.

motherinferior · 03/07/2016 21:08

Am I the only person having a quick clench while reading this thread?

MrsSchadenfreude · 03/07/2016 21:17

herbaceous · 03/07/2016 21:33

And 1, 2, 3, up

And 1, 2, 3, down!

Am hugely cheered by Djokovic going out of the tournament & am massively Envy Envy Envy of Rose.

I am assuming you have Center Court tickets - you have some amazing matches to see.

Please cheer on Murray for me.

Cremolafoam · 03/07/2016 22:43

Clenching.

addle · 03/07/2016 23:09

Clenching

BTM will respond soonest.

Mrs S - apologies for suggestion several pages back that you should amend your behaviour in any way when in fact it's the rude fuckers around you that should be amending theirs

Rose - several lovely pics of you on FB at the moment

Beachy - so glad you've heard from DD. given my months of worry over dd, I actually found it easier in a way to know that she was so very far away rather than about to text at any moment

Rudy - thinking of you xxx

Heading back into work tomorrow extra early as there appears to be a muddle going on in something I need signed off by 10. Plus multiple shenanigans in other areas. If we are not going to have a decent summer (and clearly we're not), I'd like to go to bed for a week

herbaceous · 03/07/2016 23:33

I have one of those early onset hangovers caused by drinking at lunchtime. Well, lunchtime until six. And when you share five bottles of wine between four. Must go to bed. Teaching my last class of the term, and possibly ever at adult ed place, in the morning.

This weekend has been something of a write off, mainly due to boozing.

Rosebag · 04/07/2016 00:36

Court No 1, sadly. Never mind. I'm worried I won't get up in time. I'm worn out and all partied out. Don't go dancing if you want to hang onto your pelvic floor.....

Moderate drama...during proceedings DM got a call from the caretaker of her flats, that he had called the fire brigade as there was smoke pouring out of the flat and the block had been evacuated. Cue me and DH getting DM, DSis and DNeph out, to get back there, without the hosts (Other DSis and DBIL) seeing. Some smoke damage and a busted front door.....
Life is never quiet is it... Shock

magimedi · 04/07/2016 07:36

You'll get to see Tsonga v Gasaquet, Rose which should be an amazing match.

I'll wave to you on the TV Grin

motherinferior · 04/07/2016 08:20

What I would really like is to be packed off somewhere and told to write, with sunshine and nice food included. This is frankly vv unlikely - I have put in for a residency at a place in India but it's out of my league. Sort of place my mum used to go to - she's mentioned in the publicity for it. This is all contributing to my current sense of small dumpy inadequacy...

bigTillyMint · 04/07/2016 09:19

Feeling a little jaded after the Carole King concert last night - quite emotional! What a crepey icon - 74 and looks fabulous.

NUFC69 · 04/07/2016 12:38

One, two, three - clench....

BTM, I don't know why you are worried about your almost 18 yo DD, my PFB was forty today. I am feeling ancient, and wondering where the years have gone. Fortunately DDiL organised a surprise birthday party on Saturday night, plus an overnight hotel trip last night: my offering is having all the family around next Sunday for a birthday lunch.

Best wishes to everyone since I last posted, particularly MI, MrsS, Auriga and Rudy. Rose, was it you talking about Gaviscon and similar a while back? I read in the DT last week that two tsps of cider vinegar in a glass of water really works and I have been testing it out. It sounds counter-intuitive, doesn't it, but I have found that it helps with the reflux. No harm in trying it.

We now have the BMW back from the gearbox man in Worksop, all ok, and only just over £1,000 compared with the £5-6,000 we were quoted. We managed lunch at the pub in Yorkshire which we had missed on our previous trip south.

On Friday we took DGS to the offshoot of the National Railway Museum in Shildon, Co Durham - it was a great day out, lots of interactive stuff. I thought about your DS, Herbs, but not possible on a trip to Northumberland. Have you ever thought of catching the train up to York and taking him there for the day, knowing his thing about transport, he would love it?

My appointment with the consultant about my knee replacement has come at last: 18th August. Hooray!

BeachysSandyFlipFlops · 04/07/2016 18:02

I'm sitting in a pub, waiting for my leaving party to start! If no one comes, I have four bottles of wine, 15 beers and about 20 plates of tapas to eat SmileConfused

MrsSchadenfreude · 04/07/2016 18:03

Beachy, if you are in London, I'm sure we could round up a posse of Crepeys to help you out!

Cremolafoam · 04/07/2016 18:57

Gosh, beachy, i hope they've turned up.
We are glued to the Murray mach here. Nailbiting Tennis

NU , delighted for you, that knee appt has arrived. Thats v positive. And damage for car , not too grim. Well in comparison to the boyo who quoted me to cut our vast hedge today. £2000 please. I went straight to blank face, and said id ask dh. cop out WTF?

Addle hope things mot too awful in work today. Flowers

Cremolafoam · 04/07/2016 19:13

Oh and Faragerhymes with garage
Has quit. Dick.

bigTillyMint · 04/07/2016 19:15

Cremo, that sounds ridiculous - even if you paid him £100 a day for unskilled labour...

NU glad you had good news about your knee and car. Yes I remember York museum from over 40 years ago Grin

Beachy, hope your party is in full swing now.

DS is gassed because he has the day off tomorrow due to the strike Envy

bigTillyMint · 04/07/2016 19:30
