I know, I'm in shock. May wear black today...

HappyGirlNow · 24/06/2016 08:02

Black sounds about right... Sad Scots and NI voted to 'remain'.

Dreamqueen · 24/06/2016 08:45

Feels like the UK is about to implode..

Cameron resigning, Corbyn heading the same way.. NI unhappy. The 'winners' look like rabbits in the headlights.

I was not expecting a Leave win. I think most folk thought it unlikely. That probably didn't help the vote.

Another Scottish independence referendum is inevitable really..

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 24/06/2016 15:20

i'm terrified of what the future holds now. i am genuinely in shock. just cant believe it. so much for unity and stronger together. im scared more for what the future holds for my son than for me, i'm a nothing essentially but i'm scared for him.

Stokey · 24/06/2016 17:10

Miserable - can not talk politics. Waiting for 6 so I can pour a large gin.

How was sports day Shop? last year one of the mums at Dd's school turned up in one of those all in one leotard things that 100m runners wear. She then got her dh to film her as she ran the Mum's race and watched it back as soon as she finished, insanity!

I've got a quiet weekend so no outfits planned. Anyone got anything gorgeous they're planning to wear?

Stokey · 24/06/2016 17:11

well done Scotland though Happy (and London & NI) for bringing a bit of sanity to proceedings.

HappyGirlNow · 24/06/2016 17:36

Thanks Stokey proud of my country right now and everyone who saw through the scaremongering and fudging of issues and voted to remain. Hey ho. We'll get through this.

Back in the subject in hand - decided to keep the DKNY bag everyone but as its now down to £99 in sale (£40 less than we paid) mine's is winging its way back and I've reordered.. 5 mins work to package and send back for £40 is not a bad rate Grin

libertydoddle · 24/06/2016 17:52

Good work happy. On my way home after a very unhappy day at work.

shopafrolic · 24/06/2016 18:43

Sports day was good thanks Stokey
I did go in Pilates gear but luckily there is no parental participation at DS' school so all good. I just yelled really loudly and shouted 'cheat' when the other boys were holding their eggs onto their spoons while DS resolutely tried to balance his properly Grin
Just been for a lovely tapas dinner to celebrate his achievements (he actually lost but doesn't know / seem to care). Wore my Reiko black chinos, black SE heeled sandals which I am so glad I kept and Lib's Whistles grey cashmere sweater.
Am not going to talk politics on here anymore. This is my happy place :)

This weekend Stokey I will be wearing a raincoat Grin sorry!

Ugh I hate all the uncertainty. I hope it settles down soon, in some way...

J crew order arrived. Red Tippi is great, really orangy red. The Campbell trousers were lovely quality but a) far far too long for my dumpy legs and b) gaped at the back, so not worth getting the length tailored. I can't size down as my thighs fitted fine. I don't think I'm a normal trouser shape! The wool peplum top was lovely but the fit was just off. I was considering getting it tailored but decided the waist was hitting slightly high for me, and I'm high waisted. I really want some peplum tops but I think stretchy material is better for me... lazy.

Not having much success this sales season! So far I've bought the Sam Edelman sandals and the Tippi, so tried and tested items.

That is good about the bag Happy!

I'm drowning my sorrows in wine and trying to be positive. It's not what I wanted but we're lucky to live in a democracy.

I'm now going on a search to find some beautiful things to link...

QueenC1 · 24/06/2016 20:37

love this. Price on request Hmm. How much do you reckon....?

Everyonelovessparkles · 24/06/2016 20:45

Don't blame you for reordering happy I'd be doing the same if I'd kept it! Have a nice weekend in the Lake District.

Shame about the trousers and top blair. I have trouble with trousers too. I'm average height yet they are always soooo long. It's very annoying. Hope you have a good trip for the car too.

I have enjoyed a lovely cold Wine this evening in the sun. I needed it, it's been a long day.

QueenC1 · 24/06/2016 21:01
