Please help me not look a twat at my own wedding?

I'm dead organised me, so currently looking to purchase something to wear for my own wedding in mid-June (yes, three weeks time). I have an unfortunate tendency to look like a massive twat in dresses, so will need to find a trouser-based affair. I have tried on this and it was lovely but I am short - barely five foot short - and worried that culotte style bottoms is going to make me look really silly.

What do you think - am I going to look stumpy and daft, or will it be fine? Do you have any stylish suggestions? Any input VERY gratefully received. I am a size 10-12 as well as being a massive short arse, if it helps.

If you live the playsuit go for it.

Some pieces but not an outfit

the trousers as something blue

shorts

nice top

White playsuit but a bit dull

But I rejected an entire page of playsuits having assumed you wanted to be more covered up!

It's a great colour, and you must have a cape if it's been your heart's desire.

I think that wacky purple effort with a huge 70's style floppy hat and some platform sandals could be just the ticket actually.

Sorry if someone has already suggested this but how about this lace cape playsuit?

I like the purple one too but it feels quite plain...

I love the wacky purple playsuit, team it with some killer shoes and that metal belt and it's AWESOME. I liked all the jumpsuits on the page with the metal belt, too. Those long wide leg trousers really work with heels on shorties.

I haven't read the whole thread so I hope I'm missing something. What I've gleaned so far is that, in order to avoid looking like a twat, the bride is considering wearing a purple playsuit with a cape. Seriously? I better go back and read from the begining.

Out of everything posted here, the Theory jumpsuit is beautiful and elegant.

Otherwise, I'd go for something like this, with the strappy sparkly cami.

Thing about bridal outfits is that if you're not going for the standard white dress thing then you need to be OTT to stand out from all the other dressed up people. The purple playsuit is daft, but it's the good sort of daft. How depressing to look back at your wedding photos and see yourself wearing the sort of nice tasteful outfit you could wear at any time. Talking of which, how about these shoes? www.net-a-porter.com/gb/en/product/714059?cm_mmc=ProductSearchGB_PLA_c--Ancient%20Greek%20Sandals--Shoes-Sandals-Flat-_-145723863430_714059-093&gclid=Cj0KEQjw94-6BRDkk568hcyg3-YBEiQAnmuwkip3XRNnSod-F1YBkky9aTAhYFcx6CbQusAf7zqHFpoaAuin8P8HAQ

Equally no need to look like a twat, those shoes are ridiculous

Love the topshop one.

As a refresher op is getting married in register office with do in her garden with about 12 close friends.

Hah! I thought the purple might divide opinions. I'm surprised (pleasantly!) that so many are in favour. Gruach I'm sorry. I did think maybe I ought to be more covered up, actually, it's one of the reasons I was casting around for other options.

Those shoes are fucking wonderful. I saw Greek sandals and thought nah not my thing, but clicked anyway. I tell you, I would wear those to death. Probably not with the purple playsuit though Wink

Thanks for the suggestions on what to wear with the purple playsuit, I will look into those as well.

The purple really is great. I love it.

They also have this one which seems to be a very similar cut but looks more substantial an d possibly slightly more 'serious'.

Yeah. The shoes would be a bit much. But fuck it. It's your wedding why not go completely OTT?

I'd be very tempted by something like these with the purple beauty (or, indeed in the pale pink with the berry pink version of the playsuit)

Sigh ...

It's a little bit cape-y ...
