So summer is around the corner probably and we're looking forward to crops, short sleeved tops and flipflops Grin

Come and tell us all about your summer purchases, high street or high end, we love it all.

Lib/Happy It will be an Omega Constellation - two tone, as we can't quite stretch to gold Hmm Grin I've tried a few on and my favourite is the plain silver face, as opposed to mother of pearl or champagne.

libertydoddle · 03/06/2016 15:07

Oh lovely Blair, 2 tone is more versatile anyway Wink

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 03/06/2016 15:55

Luckily I'm a blue spring Grin

HappyGirlNow · 03/06/2016 16:35

Yup like those blair and I also love 2 tone.. The Skagen I currently wear is and I really like it.

HappyGirlNow · 03/06/2016 16:36

Those Omegas are actually quite like an Armani I have.. hmm..

shopafrolic · 03/06/2016 16:44

Beautiful things - that must have been fun hitting the order button Happy lovely belts
Amber loved yours too
Off out for cocktails and dinner tonight with friends. Was hoping to wear the Whistles dress but it is still freezing here so will default (as per) to leather skinnies, SE Karen boots, J Crew v neck tee in silver linen and skinny black scarf. I am nothing if not predictable.

shopafrolic · 04/06/2016 00:04

Quiet tonight!! Drunk Voguette. Too many cocktails and Sauvignon. Night all x

MarshaBrady · 04/06/2016 10:37

Sounds like a good night Shop

I'm feeling very relaxed after two days off work, but feeling the guilts over the pure indulgence!

Hopefully sometimes it's ok to not be at work or with the dc and just have time relaxing with the husband. Spent a fortune, which is also giving me guilts.

Happy what a NaP order, impressive! Has it arrived?

Amber love the Gucci

In general I love how Alessandro Michele has turned Gucci around, I saw some videos with the new vibe and think it looks so good.

It was good back in the 90s, that white cut out dress, was that the 90s? now it feels fresh again

Dreamqueen · 04/06/2016 11:00

slightly hungover here. Not moving far from sofa today. wondering if hare of the dog at lunchtime might help.

Lovely purchases Happy

Love that bag Amber

libertydoddle · 04/06/2016 11:07

Banish the guilts Marsha. It's good to indulge yourself every now and again.

Gucci is really good ATM. Good article in the Times magazine today about the high street and fashion editor favourites. That said some of them mention brands like Sandro which while I know isn't high end the prices are probably out of most people's comfort zone - I'd need to feel I was getting a classic that would last if I was buying there.

Longislandicetee · 04/06/2016 11:50

morning! last day of half term holiday. we have had an amazing time. much needed r&r, time with each other and the dcs. Fashion wise it's been a Michael Kors holiday as I brought 4 MK dresses, gladiator sandals and used a big jet-set as my every day bag. I think as Mara said it's a brand that's just "me". One of my dresses is the one that both Blair and I have. looks great on so thank you!

The links have been great. loved Happys haul. Great way to spend a bonus. I heartily approve.Grin

HappyGirlNow · 04/06/2016 14:05

Thanks all for approval, makes me feel less guilty Grin

marsha nominated day delivery for Tuesday, I'm working from home Grin woo hoo

HappyGirlNow · 04/06/2016 14:07

On a cheaper note, these Zara espadrilles arrived today and I absolutely LOVE them! Beautiful feel, quality and colour and soooo comfy!

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 04/06/2016 14:41

i found another pair of converse tucked away, black glittery ones with glitter laces. i know i got them in america last year but they still had tags on so clearly ive never worn them. got them on now to soften the backs up a bit. they are already so comfy, love them

QueenC · 04/06/2016 16:49

Hello all. Just had a lovely couple of days. We went to a theme park and stayed in a hotel last night and the went to a national trust place this morning. Dc were very well behaved and loved their interconnecting room. They've now decided that they love hotels and want to stay in them more often Hmm
happy great haul. No need to be Blush about spending money on here. I dare you to start a thread though about your new handbags Wink
amber can't believe that's a mans bag. No man I know would use it.
lib I read that article too this morning.

AmberNectarine · 04/06/2016 17:28

When I get my bonus, it's going straight to Sloane Street this year! No guilt.

Very pleased with my new Gucci, I like a big clutch for daytime - has been brightening up all my jeans based outfits a treat! Now feel I need some shiny new shoes to go with it...

FedupNagging · 04/06/2016 18:23

Happy excellent shopping have got wine and popcorn ready for the bag thread you're going to start Wink. Hope you keep it all!

Amber love your bag too - was a bit Hmm when you said it was a man bag!

Blingy, Marsha and Queen it sounds like you've all had a great time. Am not Envy at all, oh no, not me.............

Hope you're both feeling a little more human now Dream and Shop

Todays ootd was J Crew jewelled breton and white ankle skimmers for about 5 minutes, until I spilt coffee down myself Shock so changed to another pair of white jeans and Cos batwing teal top. Was a bit miffed as I love the J Crew top but hardly wear it.

FedupNagging · 04/06/2016 18:25

So, I have a question for you all:

What item of clothing do you love but hardly wear but can't part with?

OP posts:
AmberNectarine · 04/06/2016 18:34

fedup, a few things actually:

  • My diesel jeans from age 17 - I use these as a weight barometer. Awful flared things, but I was so proud of them!
  • my wedding dress - too big now but has sentimental value
  • the outfit I was wearing when I first got together with DH (cream/black polka dot H&M blouse and black Oasis pencil skirt).
  • the purple mulberry Roxanne tote DH bought me for our first Xmas together. It's a bit knackered now, but I couldn't get rid of it.
  • a wide red leather waist belt from the 70s that I stole from my mum's wardrobe. I don't wear it often (though I did wear it to work recently which a white shirt and black pencil skirt) but when I do I love that I'm wearing a piece of her fashion past.
  • that bloody flamingo skirt which I've still not worn and is hanging there staring at me now. Must pluck up the courage to put it on because I do love it.
Longislandicetee · 04/06/2016 18:51

fedup sooo many things! I am a sentimental hoarderGrin. Examples are the outfit I was wearing when dh and I got together (i would still wear this outfit but afraid of washing it and ruining it), the outfit I was wearing when dh proposed (a huge A line skirt that must have been fasionable then, it's soooo not me any more!) and my wedding dress.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 04/06/2016 19:37

the one thing i would absolutely never ever part with is a cheesecloth smock top from the 60's that was my mums. it even has an 'incense' burn in it. it has green blue and red embroidery on it and is a sort of creamy colour. I can be ruthless otherwise but that stays no matter what

I have a few bits kicking around from when i first met bp like the t-shirt i wore when we went to see the TRON sequel and the tees ive collected at gigs we've been to so i doubt i'd get rid of those either

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 04/06/2016 19:37

i meant dp not bp! ha !

FedupNagging · 04/06/2016 20:23

That's great hearing what you hoarders are keeping! I was wearing my school uniform when I met dh, which is long gone but I have kept my wedding dress - dm made it so it is doubly sentimental.

OP posts:
HappyGirlNow · 04/06/2016 21:52

Hahaha - NO WAY AM I STARTING A BAG THREAD! I'm not that brave Grin

HappyGirlNow · 04/06/2016 22:08

fedup can't think of anything in particular but I'm generally bad at throwing things away as I always think 'what if I need it?' I need to get rid of loads of clothes as I want a nice wardrobe space where I can see clothes easily (too much at the moment to do that!) but I find it really hard! I love lots of my clothes but there is only so much time to wear them..
