What's The Palest Foundation available?

I have very very pale cool coloured skin and need a new foundation. Nearly all the standard brands make me look orange or are too red. The best colours I've found so far are by Bourjois and Seventeen, which have slight yellow undertones, which is an improvement at least, but they are still too yellow so I find myself using only a very small amount and blending a lot.

Can anyone recommend a very pale non-orange medium coverage foundation for under about £30?

Thanks!

bobbi brown skin foundation in Porcelain. it's a very slightly pinky-pale, rather than yellow pale, so good for cool skins.

passmethewineplease · 16/02/2016 21:55

Revlon colour stay in Ivory.

It's very very pale. I'm a red head with stupidly pale and skin and it's fab.

314ty · 16/02/2016 23:41

Clinique alabaster.
v pale.

Pixiemeat · 17/02/2016 08:52

Revlon Colourstay in Ivory is the palest I've found. I'm ghost-white!

FrustratedFrugal · 17/02/2016 17:18

Korean cosmetics all the way. Revlon Colorstay in Ivory is a tad too dark and pink for me. Missha Perfect Cover #13 and #21 are just right /even too pale, and Missha M Signature #13 is nearly white (=ghostly pale). Dr Jart Premium is my 'tanned' shade. Lily Lolos are good too. Added some swatches from last summer.

Thank you all so much for the responses, that is amazing! I'm having a hectic few days but will reply properly with some swatches etc on Saturday. I'd not even heard of Korean cosmetics being so pale, that's a very interesting avenue to explore.

Just briefly, I looked in proper light and Bourjois Healthy in 51 (palest) and it actually makes me look like a tangerine!

Just briefly, here is me wearing Mac NW10. Too yellow / orange, as you can see from the contrast between face and neck (deliberately didn't do neck).

Kat Von D Lock it high coverage foundation have some seriously light shades. I use a very light shade to cover my c section scar and have been very pleased with it. It's not cheap but it's well worth it IMO.

Badders123 · 20/02/2016 22:13

Rimmel used to do a great one called Ivory
Cheap as chips :)

ALaughAMinute · 20/02/2016 22:14

I meant to say that I am using the lightest shade and it has no yellow in it. It's seriously light though, almost white!

Not sure where you can buy it but I got mine from Amazon.

NewLife4Me · 20/02/2016 22:22

These are the beauties, I love this stuff, but not for everyone, obviously.

The colours are amazing, especially the paler ones.
Porcelain seems to be really pale.
Mine is hint of rose, great for a cool skin.

Revlon Colour Stay in Ivory was so dark and red I didn't get a sample and just tried hard to scrub it off my arm!

Ilamasqua I'm desperate to try but couldn't get to a store that stocks it. Can anyone tell me the difference between colours 115 and 02 (different products)?

LEFT TO RIGHT pictured in natural daylight then by light bulb, swatched on my chest.

  1. (make up pad, top) Clinique Beyond Perfecting in 02 Alabaster
  2. (Make up pad, bottom) Estee Lauder Double Wear, 010 (think I should have chosen another colour instead? Eg. Light Bone?)
  3. Demablend (old packaging) shade 15 this was one I already had at home.
  4. Seventeen One The Spot in Soft Ivory texture WTF! Dries and crumbles!
  5. Bourjois Healthy Mix in 51 Light Vanilla
  6. Lancome Tient Idol in 005
  7. *YSL Touché Eclat in BR10 looks much worse for the colour IRL, but this is masked a bit because it does blend very well. (B10 looked worse on me!)
  8. Urban Decay in 0.5
  9. Mac Studio Fix NW10 too yellow. (I don't think they make it in N10, do they?)
10. Bobby Brown in 00 Alabaster I think this one looks best so far as it seems to blend well, even though the colour isn't right. 11. (Right make up pad) NARS Sheer Glow in Siberia the stingy twats wouldn't give me a sample! It looked good at the counter, though the seat was positioned a mile from the mirror!

EmbroideryQueen · 20/02/2016 22:26

And by that I mean am sallow so colours not right on me! Blush

FriedSprout · 20/02/2016 22:29

Late to thread, but dd uses Bobbi Browne - porcelain. She is incredibly pale and found most too yellow, too chalky etc. Gets a very natural pink base finish with this.
Hope you find what you're looking for.

EmbroideryQueen · 20/02/2016 22:30

Ooh, wow, DD001 looks beautiful! I will try to get hold of a sample.

EmbroideryQueen · 20/02/2016 22:31

Fried Sprout thanks. The Bobby Brown Porcalein I tried in the shop was far too dark. Above you can see I swatched Bobby Brown 00 Alabaster, which is even more pale.

Notsoaccidentproneanymore · 20/02/2016 22:33

I second Lily Lolo in porcelain, or china doll.

ophiotaurus · 20/02/2016 22:33

I think the Bobby brown looks best too.
