My name is Fedup and I am addicted to lip balm Grin. Interesting article Blair - I constantly have dry lips and use lip all the time. For years I suffered from very dry split lips which was awful especially in the winter.

Good call on the bag Pony.

shopafrolic · 10/03/2016 13:03

Damn you Blair went looking for McQ cuffs and left with a McQ clutch and scarf instead (and a By MB tee) - how did that happen?! Shock

shopafrolic · 10/03/2016 13:03

Yes Pony great choice Smile Loved the grey.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 10/03/2016 14:36

Sorry not sorry shop Grin

Fedup you sound like a textbook addict! Join me! My lip split earlier as I tried to eat toast

Hello Pony, lovely choice! Hope you'll stick around :)

Larastheme · 10/03/2016 16:45

Links shop please!

Im DVFless , the dresses are not for me,

mara I've been to the malls in Dubai they were very impressive, much nicer than Westfield inmo,I don't like big busy department stores either, but it seems im programmed to tolerate selfridges ,liberty and Le bon marche just fine, Wink,

liberty all the stuff you bought is perfect for you, 10 items a year are not much , maybe 14?

karcheer I've wanted to answer your question about the chiltern firehouse, I've been there twice, lunch is casual ,but dinner that's a different story but I've not seen anyone OTT, so your stella blazer with maybe leather leggings and heels would be perfect, there is always a fuss about a celeb attending, but i haven't seen anyone! my friend was there in January and she saw Jennifer lawerance and David beckham,

Might check the night manager once I'm done with the people VS OJ, don't want to get distracted, don't know if anyone here watches the Real housewives of BH, but I never knew that that infamous faye was a friend of nichole brown and wrote a tell all book about her life with OJ and other men, a very short time after her murder! very explicit stuff, some friend!

Did my links scare everyone away?!

libertydoddle · 10/03/2016 21:13

Very nice Shop. I can see you in your black leggings with that bag!

Interesting on the lip balm Blair. I have found my lips get very dry if I overuse it.

Very tired this evening, has been such a busy week. OOTD was the navy Uniqlo trousers, with Zara silk blouse, navy V neck Uniqlo cardigan, R&B tan chelsea boots and the Chloe peacoat.

libertydoddle · 10/03/2016 21:14

Cross post Shop!!! I did think you might be freaked out by the radio silence!!!

shopafrolic · 10/03/2016 21:18

You know me too well Lib
I made a big purchase yesterday and invested in a Phillips Lumea IPL device. Scary amount of £££ but I am so fed up of summer hair removal (dark hair, fair skin) so wanted to try it. Do any of you have one?

libertydoddle · 10/03/2016 21:21

No I don't have one but I have been considering it. where did you buy it?

MarshaBrady · 10/03/2016 21:21

I love those links Shop

I haven't posted because I really want to look at all the links and read everyone's posts but I'm too tired, tomorrow!

shopafrolic · 10/03/2016 21:23

On Amazon. £350 down from £500. Slightly scared by it but hate epilating (too many ingrown hairs), can't wax as regrowth shows and also ingrown hairs again. Can't face having to shave my legs every day this summer. Really hope it lives up to the hype.

Karcheer · 10/03/2016 21:35

I'm Interested to hear how the ipl works out.

We went to the chiltern firehouse last night but stayed about ten mins, dh had to attend a conf call, so I said we may as well leave or else I would have eaten alone with him on a call in the foyer... Wasn't happy, he sent me flowers and chocs today...

libertydoddle · 10/03/2016 21:47

Oh no karcheer Sad

Shop I am really interested to hear how it goes. I can't epiliate or wax either.

one has your tummy settled down?

MarshaBrady · 10/03/2016 21:48

Oh Karcheer that is annoying for you, will you try to go again?

Larastheme · 10/03/2016 22:04

Oh no karcheer Sad,

shop no experience with lumea, but like you I have dark hair, and lightish skin, did laser a few years ago, and I just do retuches every 4 -6months, best money I've ever spent, I also did a brazillian laser

LinusLovesBretons · 10/03/2016 22:23

That sucks karcheer! I would not have been impressed.

shop I have been having laser hair removal treatment on my lower legs since the summer and after 5 sessions my hair growth has diminished a lot but I still need a few more to be completely hairless. It does hurt a lot a lot alot alot so I don't think I could do my bikini area or underarms.

That's why I might try the Lumea as it doesn't hurt apparently even though the results are not permanent like with laser hair removal. Let me know how you get on.

Larastheme · 10/03/2016 22:47

linus, you can use a numbing cream, it helps

LinusLovesBretons · 10/03/2016 22:50

Emla? It did nothing for me unfortunately lara

Sad
AmberNectarine · 10/03/2016 23:18

I've been lucky - epilating has left me with almost no leg hair.

maradesbois · 11/03/2016 00:51

Hello,

Shop love your McQueen stuff, interested to know what you think when it arrives. Have never done laser but think my hair is maybe too fair. Went for consultation a couple of years ago and they said best results are dark hair and pale skin so you'll be fine. I wax which works fine but would be good not to have to bother.

Karcheer Flowers to you. Crappy situation.

Lib love your uniqlo stuff, if I'd had to blind name it to a MNVer would've been you.

Am just in bed after fab dinner party. Dh dug deep into cellar for Dom perignon 1990, had it with saint pierre and mushrooms, divine.

Blair love the dvf you went for, hope it works out. Is your big holiday imminent?

shopafrolic · 11/03/2016 08:08

Karcheer that is rubbish - hate it when work runs into social. Did you like the vibe in there? Will you go back another time?
Will let you all know about the Lumea. If I was working I'd go for laser but it's so ££££.
Thanks for the McQueen love - need to see it IRL as the bag says patent leather but I love the print - I used to have a black silk evening back with embroidered florals on it that I used it lot. It softened down my look a bit (especially when I had short hair!).
Linus how is everyone feeling now? Hope you're getting back to full fitness.
One feel better soon
I'm still coughing like mad but improving slowly. My memories on Facebook came up and it seems I'm ill at this time every year - must book a March holiday next year Grin. Not long till Tenerife now though.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 11/03/2016 09:38

Oh dear shop, you know it's bad when Facebook is reminding you of illnesses! When are you going to Tenerife - Easter hols? Hope the cough gets better asap.

Mara we're going at the end of April, so quite soon! It will be the biggest holiday of our lives - was meant to be honeymoon but now we're going with friends, and seeing various people while out there too. So excited. Your dinner sounds delicious btw! :)

Karcheer oh no, hope you make him rebook it soon.

Interesting about hair removal. I usually get 4 weekly brazilians but hadn't been since I got ill in November. I went back a couple of weeks ago and had to stop at a bikini wax, it was so so painful. I think I'm still really sensitive and just weak, ugh. The lumea sounds good though and I've never thought of laser or epilating (legs, would never be brave enough for elsewhere Grin).

QueenC · 11/03/2016 09:50

Morning, it feels like spring has sprung. Trying not to get too over enthusiastic though but I could actually feel the warmth of the sun Smile.
Other than that I'm in bed with a headache and period pain but at least I'm not in a foul mood like I was yesterday. I may have made a rash hormonal purchase Grin

shop lovely McQueen stuff. Didn't realise you were going to Tenerife at Easter. What will the temperatures be?
karcheer that's such a shame. Hope you get to go again.

I remember using an epilator once years ago and it was sooo painful. I also had waxing before honeymoon. Never again. I'll stick to shaving.
