Feeling a bit sick of winter clothes? Looking forward to Spring Summer? Dry (and not-so-dry) January is over. Come and join us for fashion links and more. It's friendly here. Smile

These loafers have been on my maybe list for a couple of weeks but now sold out.

FedupNagging · 28/02/2016 10:44

How nice is this bag? and it's half price.

QueenC · 28/02/2016 11:33

Love this but have a feeling it would look ridiculous on me

QueenC · 28/02/2016 11:51

for shop/amber

shopafrolic · 28/02/2016 11:53

Standing in line at The Dressing Room for their Spring Summer fashion event. Fingers crossed for a goody bag!

QueenC · 28/02/2016 12:02

Havev fun shop. Buy lots!

Ive seen far too much to tempt me today but I'm going to be good. Ive got so many clothes that I don't really feel that thetes many gaps at all to justify anything.

BerniceBobsHerHair · 28/02/2016 13:24

Hello all

Shop glad DS is okay. DR event sounds good!

Marsha hope your flight and trip goes well - a work trip am I right in remembering?

Lovely links QC and Fedup. I think that top is navy or v dark grey.

Fedup I think you mentioned grensons a while ago - they often seem to have them on the outnet, lovely loafers atm. Look forward to your trainer links, love a pair of trainers.

Blingy I think leather will keep you warmer than pleather. I wear my leather jacket on 10 degree days and up. I don't think they are great for really cold weather.

Was it Stokey and Dry who have weddings to go to? I have one too, and suddenly realised I don't really have anything to wear. I have gone off the jumpsuit I was planning to wear.

So I have panic ordered and would appreciate your advice:

Whistles dress

Boden

Me and Em

Same but different colour

Oxfam wildcard

Open to any other suggestions - would prefer sleeves and knee length or longer.

Dry and Stokey what you wearing??

BerniceBobsHerHair · 28/02/2016 13:25

Oh last question - I do have a red dress I could wear...but is red a bit too full on for a wedding? It is likely to be a v traditional wedding, in church etc.

Longislandicetee · 28/02/2016 14:20

Hi Bernice! If I had your height and colouring, I would love to wear the Whistles dress. I think it could be really flattering on you - appropriately hot.Grin I am imagining your glorious hair all done and looking swishy with hot.

However, that dress is short sleeved so I would probably go for one of the Me&Em dresses. Probably the pink because it's more wedding like. The Boden didn't do anything for me, but I do like the Oxfam one just not as much as the other two.

Thanks for the pleather vs leather input!

FedupNagging · 28/02/2016 15:37

Bernice I think red is fine for a wedding - so long as you're not upstaging the bride! Otherwise I love the Whistles dress and the Me&Em - pink if it's spring/summer.

Trainer lust list:
Superga's - already own several pairs so maybe need to change brand
Ash already have these in python but really love the grey
Stans also like them with the flash of red - its probably about time I got on the stans bandwagon
Love these
And these
These caught my eye last time I was in London - they're like having steel toe caps on the outside!
Gorgeous colour

I've just remembered I have a pair of NB in blue that have only been worn once (for exercise Shock) - might dig them out and see how they look with ankle skimmers.

QueenC · 28/02/2016 16:06

bernice my favourites are the whistles and the pink me and em. What shoes are you wearing? Will you be wearing coat/jacket? I'll have a look later for you.

I think red is fine for a wedding and be toned down with the right accessories.

QueenC · 28/02/2016 16:28

other stories but maybe not weddingy enough

QueenC · 28/02/2016 16:32

warehouse

QueenC · 28/02/2016 16:37

monsoon

Drywhitethanks · 28/02/2016 16:55

Blingy pleather won't be warm enough. I have leather stone biker which I love and wear loads in SS, even leather isn't warm enough for me in winter. Tan would be a fab colour.

Bernice I like the Whistles best. Don't think red is unsuitable for weddings.
I'm wearing ....

Stokey · 28/02/2016 17:02

I like the Oxfam wild card Bernice but guess you need to wait & see what it's like in RL. I may try the Me & Em one too, I still haven't got anything & mine is on Good Friday. I'm going to a friend's house tomorrow to see if she has got anything I can borrow, or may look through my old stuff. I just don't feel like spending money on something I'll only wear a couple of times.

Good trainer selection Fedup, I really like the Vans ones & silver Superga.

Hope ds is OK Shop. I meant to answer your question earlier about the one that got away. For me it was a pair of Prada heels that I saw in Galeries LaFayette in Paris pre-dc. They had heels like teacup handles and were gorgeous, reduced to around €300 which was still far more than I had ever spent on a pair of shoes. They probably would have got trashed the first time I wore them but do slightly regret it.

Drywhitethanks · 28/02/2016 17:05

With this bag ......
What do you think of tan with the blue dress? Would go with a lot.

Drywhitethanks · 28/02/2016 17:06

Fedup I think there are plenty of silver loafers around, have you looked at Office?

OP posts:
AmberNectarine · 28/02/2016 18:48

dry I have those shoes in another colour. I have never worn them out of the house they are that uncomfy, and you know I don't shy away from a heel...

FedupNagging · 28/02/2016 18:54

Love the Monsoon dress but not with those boots.

Gorgeous dress Dry - is this for the wedding? Tan and navy go really well together so go for it. Fab bag too.

I've not tried on any shoes in Office for ages as the last pair I tried were so uncomfortable but may look again as a few of you have Office shoes and rate them. I still really like Dune.

I need to pop into JL tomorrow so will have a look in Office and Schuh for the addidas and supergas.

Drywhitethanks · 28/02/2016 18:58
