Omg my lumea is amazing!

My DH bought me a lumea for Christmas after years of listening to me whinge about my body and facial hair. I wasn't entirely convinced it would work well for me as although I am dark haired I also have olive skin and permenant sun tan but OMG is is a bloody revelation. I've only used it 3 times and I have barely any hair on my face or arm pits and my legs, which have hair like a mans, are only patchy and growing back very slowly. I cannot tell you how much this little thing is going to change my life! I am so hairy!

Does anyone else on here have a lumea?

Bought mine last week. 2006 model online and used discount code £206 including delivery. Used once so got to wait for results. Obviously didn't feel like it was doing much when using it but time will tell!

I've been thinking about one of these for a while - do you have to be careful around moles/freckles and thread veins? As my legs are a delightful combination of those plus hair and blue-white skin Grin

How long does it take to do your legs? Are we talking minutes or hours?

Lower legs take around 10 mins each. I managed to get legs and bikini done on one charge. I found it painless.

What's OOS?

I just thought I'd post to see how you're all getting on with yours? I've done my last 2 weekly zap now and am in to the maintenance phase. Apparently I won't need to do it against for 8 week!

I'm still having to shave occasionally but nothing like before.. In the last of the two week segments my legs were completely smooth for 5 whole days! I'm so chuffed with this little gadget.

I've got the 2007 and have finished my 2 weekly zaps but I think I'm going to keep doing it 2 weekly for the next few weeks! It's been brilliant and I have to run the razor over my legs maybe once every 10 days but I seem to have random patches where there's more hair so think I must keep missing bits! Also I don't feel like it's worked that well on my arm pits and I shave them every few days! Have to say I can't wait till summer and not have to shave everyday Grin

Any updates on how everyone is getting on with their lumea? I splurged and sent for one, I got fed up in the end, I have in the morn in the shower and the hair has grown back by the evening! If it works on me, it'll work on anyone. I don't know how it'll tackle the bikini line, it will be life changing if it really does work! It's due to be delivered tomorrow!

I use mine on my face and it has worked although not as well as I'd hoped.But then I am quite lazy with it and it's still heaps better than it was before.

I wish I had taken before pictures. My body hair is thick and black and if I didn't shave them my legs would be like a mans. Nice. Anyway there's hardly any hair there at all now :)

Wrt my face .. I'm still getting patchy regrowth but nowhere near as bad as before. The clear wiry beard hairs are unaffected though :(

I've been using mine for over 1 year. My facial hair is all but non-existent. I top up every 6 weeks or so. It's given me so much confidence. Brilliant little machine.

Just got mine and had a first go. I like using it. Everything about body hair is so degrading - waxing, shaving, Ingrowing hairs but this was actually quite nice to use. Clean and not too heavy. Was a bit ouchy on The armpits but face was fine (I trimmed down the longer hairs but didn't shaved). Did my toes and tops of feet too (hairy trucker emoticon).

Will tackle legs and bikini line tonight. They are currently unshaved. God, if it improves my inner thighs I'd be so happy. I have dark heavy hair half way down my (admittedly stumpy) thighs. And I am not a good waxer. I always bleed - even at really good places.

I got mine today, and got going with it straight away. You have to be totally clean shaven for it to work, or it burns your hair, ouch! If you have no hair showing it's totally painless with no sensation. My underarms are very coarse and hard to get a close shave, so it was more sensitive there, but not even like plucking, so it wasn't bad at all. I thought I would feel the bikini line, but I didn't. I used the bikini attachment. I keep feeling my legs and underarms just to see (not that I expect results from session 1) but even after shaving in the morning I have regrowth by the evening.

I covered legs - up to the knees, underarms, bikini, and upper lip. Thinking of doing the arms too, they are so hairy! It was very fast to do, straight out of the box, and didn't take the 8 mins the instructions said it would for each leg. I think I had my whole body done in about 10mins. Here's hoping!

Mine is still in the box as bought for my birthday- can't wait to have a go as I look like a troll. When your DH asks if you want one, it may be a hint Grin

(Actually, DH is lovely and said to get one after I moaned about my moustache growing back and lost my epistick)

Got mine last year and had a noticeable difference with regular use. Went from shaving underarms everyday to once or twice a week. Legs from every day or other day to once or twice a week. Bikini line has hardly come back at all (which was the main reason I bought it as my bikini line was over on to my thighs) even though I've not used it at all over the winter.

Just dug it out and recharged it and done my legs and under arms. Hopefully by summer time I won't need to shave my underarms and legs for a few weeks at a time.

Re Moles, get a white eyeliner pencil and colour them in before use if they're large and dark as you will burn in those areas more as the dark soaks up the light from the lumea iyswim?

It absolutely works. I have been doing weekly my face and Pitts legs and bikini line

I've gone from plucking my face every other day to once a week and then I'm pulling short week white hairs. 2 stubborn areas where still get 4 harsh black hairs but it's on my jawline and then a patch of finer dark hairs

Legs are hairless and have been for 2 weeks. Pitts good and bikini line I can't see really lol under my fat belly
