I am going to tackle my tax return. A full 10 days before the deadline. This counts as remarkable organisation.

addle · 20/01/2016 13:39

Good luck btm xxxxx

And thank you crepeys not one but two boots ( pairs obv) ordered from Jones

Rosebag · 20/01/2016 14:29

I'd come just for the gulab jaman but I doubt I'd be let out of my cage. Not posting much at the moment...feeling too down and don't want to drone on like a wet blanket.

Just popped in to send hugs to Auriga (but good news re DDs mocks....) herbs BD cresset and tilly re aged parents angst, and also extra good vibes to tllly re DD. And also get well wishes to tummy trouble -ridden Crepeys, MI and crem

hattymattie · 20/01/2016 15:10

Hugs to you Rose - hope your feeling more positive soon xx

Postive vibes to BTM re DD.

Have just had a chat with the primary teacher who showed me the massive overreaction of some parents to the fact he put "may wriggle a bit during carpet time" - they took the child to a child psychiatrist about this, even though this is pretty normal for a 6 year old boy and the rest of the report is fabulous. They want the report rewritten as this may affect his university chances later on. He really is a lovely child and obviously stands no chance with such seriously bonkers parents.Hmm

HattyGrin

Cremo · 20/01/2016 18:47

Ffs Hatty, are they for real? That kind of pressure surely won't turn out well for either l' enfant or les parents.

Rose , love, KOBO.Thanks

Lalsy · 20/01/2016 20:57

Hatty, surely you as a UCAS parent veteran know that carpet-wrigglers never get onto the good courses? Grin.

Rose, you don't drone and we wouldn't mind if you did...take care Flowers.

I have a rotten cold and am very cross about a stupid family situation.

Auriga · 20/01/2016 20:57

Rose, thanks for the encouragement & hope you feel better soon Flowers

BD all the best for de - scraping DD

I'll do my best to get ahead so I can come to lunch on Saturday

GiddyGiddyGoat · 20/01/2016 21:16

Wise words indeed whoever said KOBO - it's all we can do really isn't it? Hopefully having the odd laugh with our Crepey mates as we do..

Sorry you're feeling crap Rose - but please don't stay away from us on that account? You know we want to sympathise and help if we can...

MI that restaurant looks fab! I might be tempted to Sarf London for lunch there! What time are people thinking of meeting?

Well done to your amazing dd Auriga. Sending you strength re dd BTM and you Lalsy with the family stuff. On Sunday I have to drag dh and ds2 to lunch with my brothers and their families - for various reasons this is not a popular gig....

GiddyGiddyGoat · 20/01/2016 21:18

I'm feeling sorry for myself. The house is cold, I can tell I'm going to get a horrible sore throat sometime soon and no one liked their supper - including me. Hmmmph. I feel an early night coming on...

Auriga · 20/01/2016 21:30

Bon courage GGG, hope to see you on Saturday

bigTillyMint · 20/01/2016 21:32

GGG, it is indeed excellent. And near enough to me for me to potentially escape without being noticedWink But probably not v handy for BD who was the crepey needing the MU in the first place!

GiddyGiddyGoat · 20/01/2016 21:43

BD? Will you be able to do that if you are able to get away at all? Aren't your dps in Sarf London??

Collymollypuff · 20/01/2016 21:52

I have no idea how to get to Peckham. Can I drive there? Is it near the South Circular?

Collymollypuff · 20/01/2016 21:56

Are you all going by bus? Doesn't look like a station is near.

Auriga · 20/01/2016 21:59

Peckham Rye is near Molly

motherinferior · 20/01/2016 22:05

Molly, it's right near Peckham and you can get there from Wimbledon IIRC - GGG, you can get there from St Pancras though you'll have to change at Blackfriars.

GiddyGiddyGoat · 20/01/2016 22:05

Peckham Rye is on the London Overground Molly. Can't nb whereabouts you are!
map of overground here

Collymollypuff · 20/01/2016 22:06

Oh, OK, sorry didn't see Peckham Rye on the map. I think I'll skip this one, though!

GiddyGiddyGoat · 20/01/2016 22:06

I'm all about the overground these days MI - ever since my dcs drew my attention to it's existemce!

magimedi · 20/01/2016 22:31

Why do I want to sing:

"Underground, overground, wombling free................. ??

I would love to come & eat at that place (and meet you all!) but I can't - a family duty calls me on Saturday. Have to go & see DH's aunt who will be 102 (CII) in April. Can not disappoint someone of that age. She still lives 'home alone' with care coming in four times a day. She'd love a crepey meet up - the tales she has to tell & the lovers she has had.............. and she does still tell the tales!!

MrsSchadenfreude · 20/01/2016 22:34

I am still wending my way home from Germany and have to be in the office for 0800 tomorrow. So am in foul mood and travel schedule over next 8 weeks looks grim. It is, as MI said, just a very long way to go for a work meeting.

MrsSchadenfreude · 20/01/2016 22:35

And all I have had to eat today is a bloody sandwich.

GiddyGiddyGoat · 20/01/2016 22:40

That's crap Mrs S. You need a nice curry on saturday to cheer you up!

MrsSchadenfreude · 20/01/2016 23:05

And some good company.
