Cremo, it looks so wonderful. Enjoy the rest of your hols.

Magi, your granddaughter sounds delightful. How glorious. I am looking forward to the granny days already (though please not yet, I am thinking circa 2030 would suit me. DD1 is only 11 and DS just 7.....) Maybe make that 2035 Smile

Great hair, Herbs, and looking v foxy. I love the specs.

Dinner was splendid, mucho food and wine consumed, but now DH is catching up on rugby whilst I am applying soothing unguents and playing on t'internet. Twas ever thus....

Auriga · 06/02/2016 23:17

Herbs, hair is great shape and specs look good on you :)

magimedi · 07/02/2016 08:09

Woke at 4.30 with awful cramp & had to hop round the bedroom to get rid of it.

DH went straight back to sleep & the barsteward was BREATHING so I couldn't get back to sleep. Not snoring but a really annoying whiffly wheeze-y breathing. Angry

Feel fine now, but I know it will catch up with me later.

Stropps - am delighted to hear about DD & have all fingers crossed that this may continue. When DS started to recover I could hardly believe it & kept on thinking it was only an interlude.

bigTillyMint · 07/02/2016 09:21

Herbs, you look very S&B!

Cremo, I feel relaxed just looking at that photo - lovely

MrsS, I agree with the others, she deserves everything she gets. Only do what you feel you actually want to and can manage. You have stuck by her all this time and you deserve a medal.

Monty, that would be fab, thanks!

Weird DM-fuelled dreams again last night, and as we didn't get to bed till 2am after the party, I think I will be crashing pretty soon.
This is not going to be a pretty week, not least because DD is exhausted (and is doing her coaching training all day today again) and that is NOT GOOD. I need to sort all the stuff for skiing today, including the linen. Booooo.

bigTillyMint · 07/02/2016 09:24

Just found a document open on the PC. DD has made a work/revision timetableShock It looks waaaaayyyyy too busy - I wonder when she is planning to start it!

motherinferior · 07/02/2016 10:13

Oh god I hate the loud breathing.

MrsSchadenfreude · 07/02/2016 10:56

I get shouty swearing in the middle of the night, if he wakes up and can't get back to sleep if an ambulance goes past, or the cat walks across him and puts a paw in his bollocks, or something. He is swearily making pancakes at the moment: "Where's the fucking flour? Is this self raising or plain? Well I was I supposed to fucking know? Why don't you label the fucking tin? Where are the teaspoon measures? What do you mean, what fucking teaspoon measures? It's your fucking kitchen, you should know..."

You look dead trendy herbs!

MrsS I just want to ask "are you actually ok? " what with being sick, on shoes etc and horrible things said by your not so DM? Feeling concerned. Flowers

Awwwwww Magi Smile

I am about to bully DH mercillously into digging out all all his coats for inspection. He's starting a smart new job on Monday and is going to look like a tramp. Getting him to even dip a toe into S&B is an uphill struggle. There will be shouting. Wish me luck. I'm going in....

bigTillyMint · 07/02/2016 11:16

Another heavy breather next to me at nightAngry

MrsS, that makes me relieved that DH doesn't attempt any cooking - he just appreciates whatever I cook unlike the ungrateful teens, unless it's burgers/noodles/whatever

Does anyone know anything about buying a funeral plan? I know it is a grim subject, but DM asked about what will happen when she dies and I wondered if it would make things easier when the time comes.

My head is obviously just filled with worry ATM. I must go and look at the skiing stuff instead.

MrsSchadenfreude · 07/02/2016 11:30

Rose - thank you, but yes, I am fine. I just zone out of my mother's moaning and DH's swearing, and am away from Monday to Wednesday anyway, in a hotel, with a pile of lovely books to read. The sickness is not necessarily because of drunkenness; I don't always process alcohol (and cheese) properly, and can be suddenly and violently sick, which I think is what happened on my birthday. Confused

BTM - pancakes are pretty much the only thing that he makes. Don't know anything about a funeral plan, sorry. The outlaws have one with the co-op, which they informed us about a few months ago. My DF didn't have one and I recall the whole thing being Not Cheap. My mother won't, of course, have one either, as she will be dead and not care by then, and it will be all my problem.

motherinferior · 07/02/2016 11:38

Oh god yes re funeral plans. DP asked about my mum's the other day. Bet you a fiver they don't have one. Dad will just weep if I ask. And I am really not sure how I get them knitted more into hospice provision - I must try to ring the GP at the surgery who has experience in this area and fling myself on his mercy. Fortunately he is a merciful type.

Dad's passiveness is really annoying, and other people's kindly excuses for it even more so.

Dreamqueen · 07/02/2016 11:46

Herbs great hair & I love the glasses.
MrsS Shock at your Mother, I thought mine was bad but......
Monty thanks for the welcome.
Crem the beach looks lovely.

I'm having a quiet day, avoiding any gin, about to bung a chicken in the oven & settle down with a book.

Hope everyone has a lovely sunday. This thread moves very quickly & I'm trying to keep up with all the happenings.

Blackduck · 07/02/2016 11:57

MrsS does DH do all that so you will take over, or is he just a miserable bugger? I have to admit that would grate on me.

Here Dp has embarked on a get fit campaign... This is good as a side effect is I lose weight too (win-win)......

Funeral plans - no idea, but been on my mind too. All I know is mum wants to be cremated and no flowers.

Dreamqueen · 07/02/2016 12:02

Quick question please.
What gift would you buy for a 10yr old girl & 4yr old boy please?
I have no idea of whats in/out these days. want to spend around £10-£15 on each.
Thanks
x

bigTillyMint · 07/02/2016 12:32

Well I rang the Coop and had a chat with a very nice laydee (seem to have spoken to a lot of them lately) - DH and I are going to probably do it online tonight.

I have sorted the skiing stuff, yay! And I have the house to myself, double yay!!

DQ, I have started giving my DGodD who is 9+ a voucher for New Look/Claires which goes down v well as she likes shopping and girly stuff. When DS was that age, a football. Or a football. Or a football. Having said that, I distinctly remembering him adamantly spending a ToysRUs voucher on a pink baby-care set for DD's old babydoll, which he played with loadsGrin

bigTillyMint · 07/02/2016 12:33

Sorry, meant H&M for voucher, not New Look!

motherinferior · 07/02/2016 12:39

Lego always goes down well with four year olds.

Collymollypuff · 07/02/2016 12:53

I had a horrible nightmare early this morning, but MrsS was in it, being very helpful and trying to sort me out. See, Crepeys even help you in your dreams.

bigTillyMint · 07/02/2016 13:00

Grin Molly - how lovely.

Collymollypuff · 07/02/2016 13:10

I'm clearly very fond of you, MrsS, awake and asleep. Grin

motherinferior · 07/02/2016 13:12

And now...OH GLORY AND TRUMPETS!!!!

Molly's and my dear friend whose little girl died has HAD HER NEW DAUGHTER!!!!

Alas all not entirely straightforward as baby has an infection and is in SCBU but it doesn't look that scary and the world rejoices for them GrinThanksWineThanksGrin

bigTillyMint · 07/02/2016 13:13

That is lovely MIFlowers

Lalsy · 07/02/2016 13:22

MI, what wonderful news. All good wishes to them.

MrsSchadenfreude · 07/02/2016 13:25

I do try to be helpful where I can, Molly! Grin Even in your subconscious!

HOORAY FOR YOUR FRIEND, MI!!!
