Fur or feathers, leather or lace, suede or velvet, come & tell us what you're wearing as the festive season comes our way. What's on your Christmas wishlist and what are you saving for the sales?

From designer to downtown, all are very welcome for chats about fashion, frolics and whatever else tickles your fancy.

Faithless, how fab, I don't know many of their tracks but I love Insomnia, Shop I thin leather leggings with trainers or Pistols and a tee. Nonchalantly cool I think is the look you're after.

I'd like a grey bobble hat with a massive fluffy bobble, if anyone sees one let me know, i don't want to pay NAP prices for it though Wink

Good bag Blair glad you're feeling better.

AmberNectarine · 15/11/2015 22:33

I went to Basement Jaxx and wished I had worn flats because the soles of my feet were burning! So deffo flats. Also nothing you mind spilling drinks on!

I have a grey bobble hat with a fur bobble - bought in Brussels last winter, must dig it out.

DH also wants an Apple watch (and a Sonos). He's been a good boy this year, so he'll get them.

Have spent the afternoon painting my hallway - is now pretty pale pink!

Drywhitethanks · 15/11/2015 22:34

Kitty Nexthave them I think

Drywhitethanks · 15/11/2015 22:36

Not real fur though

VivaVegas · 15/11/2015 22:59

Evening, AWOL all weekend, mostly spent decorating, seems to be a common theme! Lots of lovely links today.
Have just ordered this, has a £10 voucher for my birthday so not a bad buy and plugs a wardrobe gap black lace top.
Off to bed now, shattered!

shopafrolic · 16/11/2015 09:43

Morning all - the banging has started - DS tried eating breakfast with his hands over his ears (you can imagine how that went!).
Thanks for the gig tips. WAs thinking Pistols on the feet (have danced in them before) and am scared of getting my pristine white Stans trashed!
Amber Sonos is the best thing we ever bought for our house - love it

AmberNectarine · 16/11/2015 09:53

Yes we have one already, he wants another to link up with it. I wore my pistols to Basement Jaxx and got sole burn but I wore tights not socks which was probably a mistake!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 16/11/2015 10:18

Morning!

Blush Dry Grin

shop hope it's going well. I agree with everyone on the outfit front. I always find the more I've been wearing my Pistols, the longer I can stand in them.

On the outnet today...
Perfect cape for Lib and I (aside from the price!)
LBD for Dry

Lovely top Viva, will go with loads.

libertydoddle · 16/11/2015 11:42

That is a lovely cape Blair.
I wish Boden had that top in other colours viva. It looks really good.
Hugs shop. I am Grin at image of DS with hands over ears trying to eat breakfast though!

safetyzone · 16/11/2015 12:48

I like your top too, viva!

kitty does this fit the bill? Not quite grey all over...

maradesbois · 16/11/2015 13:30

Hello all,

Just lost my post gah. First one on new thread too and already 10 pages in. Must try harder!

Still in shock about Paris, we have friends and family living close to where the attacks took place who were thankfully not caught up in anything. Have friends in Beirut too but although events are equally horrific there is a sense of geographical isolation from Middle East conflict which gives a sense of protection whereas Paris is worryingly close to home. Due to go to Paris soon, we thought briefly of cancelling but decided to go ahead with gusto, solidarité!

Have had a quick read of thread;
Shop good luck for the works, hope it runs to schedule. And no to boxfresh stans for gig, they will never recover.
Dry saw pic of your new shoes, lovely. I really want a camel coat similar style to yours too. Have tried belted maxmara ones but think they make me look fat.
lib been meaning to ask you for ages, did you get the babyliss big hair and if so what's your opinion?
linus love ds's g&t comment Smile.

Not prepared in the slightest for Christmas but will get thinking about it soon. For Christmas Day I wouldn't get a new outfit but would make effort to dress daytime smart like sweater dress or something instead of jeans.

Ootd is black and brown marni dress with opaques and black tod's brogues with black b prorsum coat. Felt good.

maradesbois · 16/11/2015 13:32

Oh and kitty sorry the apc shirt didn't work out for you but glad you got one you like. Am very tempted to try the apc one too...

AmberNectarine · 16/11/2015 13:40

My outfit is a paint spattered decorator's overall. Repping for MNV today.

libertydoddle · 16/11/2015 14:11

Mara I did get the bbh. Love it. Leave hair to dry about 80% and then 2 mins with the bbh has it dry, smooth and bouncy. Lasts a couple of days too.

QueenCardi · 16/11/2015 14:43

I love my bbh too mara. Makes my hair much bouncier than usual drying and it's also great for dd hair.

My outfit earlier consisted of muddy sports gear which I then accessorised with latex gloves and arm protectors to clean the oven. I'm all glamour. Now in skinny jeans and stag print blouse you'll be relieved to hear Grin

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 16/11/2015 15:03

My BBH is broken :( the fast speed doesn't work any more so it's either the slow speed or manual brushing. Which makes it kind of useless. I never even used it that much either.

My OOTD is navy ruched Baukjen skirt and grey Tippi jumper. Getting dressed and putting makeup on felt so good!

LinusLovesBretons · 16/11/2015 15:22

Afternoon!

mara I agree with you re Paris and it being more close to home as it's literally close to home and a lot of us have friends/family living there and we had only visited recently.

I felt the same about Kenya earlier this year as we have a close relative and his family living there so we have more of a connection with that particular tragedy.

My BBH was brilliant in the beginning but is not performing well anymore. At first I didn't really notice until I used DM's brand new one (that I gave her for Christmas last year and that she's never used) and felt and saw the difference.

OOTD is my uniform of skinnies and jumper, I really must make more of an effort. Will try and 'shop my wardrobe' tomorrow when I have a bit of time to myself.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 16/11/2015 18:41

hello all. it's been hectic here with varius things and i was in london again this weekend as we went to see the lion king which was very good, really enjoyed it. Have been struggling as i've been really ill with one bug/virus after another but seem to finally be shaking them off

shop bless little ds trying to cover his ears, hope there's not too much disruption for you all and it's all done and lovely and shiny soon

I think i've decided on my xmas day outift already, black sequin swishy midi skirt and either a red cashmere cardigan with black cami underneath or a bright pink cable knit cashmere sweater. haven't quite decided between the two tops yet. have 'shopped' for the outfit out of my existing wardrobe. i could find something in there for every day of the festive period and never wear the same thing two days in a row!

KittyHello · 16/11/2015 20:34

Thank you for the bobble hat suggestions Safetyzone and Dry will definitely get round to buying one this winter.

Mara the shirt is lovely and the colours are great, give it a try

safetyzone · 16/11/2015 20:44

Ooh just spotted this... a bit like the Lemaire H&M sweater that I missed.

libertydoddle · 17/11/2015 08:58

Nice safety. Did you get it?

I have just bought the M&S beauty advent calendar. Lots of nice small size products to take on holidays with me - getting excited now, 10 more sleeps until we jet off!!! I bought the Emma Hardie Amazing Face Moringa Balm with it to qualify for the £25 calendar - have been waiting for a good deal to buy it as I have wanted to try it for a while.

Not looking forward to the storm later...

Longislandicetee · 17/11/2015 09:16

There's storm?!Shock

Loving my ootd. Everything at least 2 years old, which I think shows why i haven't bought (for me!) that much this year and I am on a self imposed ban in buying work dresses (and sparkly shoes!). Me&Em ruched dress, RB shoe boots, John Lewis Collection black wool coat, salmon pink Chloe Marcie. Bling is the ring I posted the other day and Elizabeth Cole blue flowers Swarovski bracelet and steel Gucci bracelet watch.

Feeling much better though still going to docs on Thursday. Glad Blair and One better too.

libertydoddle · 17/11/2015 09:41

Yes a storm called Barney is on the way - Wales and SW will get the worst of it most likely but lots of rain and high winds for London too this afternoon.

Great outfit Blingy! Still in PJ's here Smile (wfh) but getting dressed shortly to head into central London to run a workshop.

MarshaBrady · 17/11/2015 09:59

Phew pleased I reversed direction on my run and ran into work am sure it's harder that way though

This even mild temperature is putting me off my fashion mojo

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 17/11/2015 10:47

I think it's getting cold at the weekend Marsha, we can finally wear cashmere and coats!

Blingy glad you're feeling better, good idea to still see docs just in case. Snap on the outfit front - Me+Em ruched dress and R&B shoe boots, layered over navy ribbed turtleneck (from Next, because the Uniqlo ones sold out before I could get navy!). Feeling quite warm.

Lib I saw the other thread about the M&S calendar, it sounds great! I hope you're waiting until 1st December :)
